1. Hit the Source BIBI MAN-UP
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (03.16.11)
Instead of blaming OBAMA, BIBI should MAN-UP and protect his people. Hezbollah, Hamas is placing missiles on your borders every day and Israel does nothing except stop a ship or two. If AL-QUADA was placing missiles in Mexico to target California that place would resemble the moon. MAN-UP Israeli's and take them out. You Israeli's talk so much SH*T about Obama not wanting to fight Gaddafi for an internal conflict and Hezbollah and Hamas are aiming guns at your heart and BIBI talks like a little girl in response.
2. Kelvin - Hughes Essex UK
ali babashvilli ,   london   (03.16.11)
one thing to add : the radar for the anti ship missiles is made by KELVIN-HUGHES of Hainault Essex UK !!! you can see the labal on israel tv AND read about it on Ynet Hebrow site (but is to much to do the same on the English site....) send this info to your MP and the British press !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. GREAT JOB GUYS
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (03.16.11)
Way to go boys. That will have them scratching their heads for awhile. Plus I love it when Hamas buys weapons for the IDF, there is a certain irony that seems perfect. Israel can always use more weapons. Hey Hamas thanks!! Don't be surprised if you get these weapons anyways, just not the way you planned. You'll get do see what they do, first hand.
4. great....
jorge stern ,   mexico   (03.16.11)
but how many have not been found in the past and in the future
5. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart
Scott Franklin ,   New York USA   (03.16.11)
I must have laughed on and off for an hour after I read your post ..In a way its very true but Israel has enough weapons for 500 more major wars. If Israel called up all reserves they can put almost 5,000 planes in the air. Israel has immense military power. I was a combat engineer in the USMC. You would never use captured ordinance from a ship..Half of it could be boobytraped and useless.. I KNOW YOU WERE TRYING TO BE FUNNY AND I THANK YOU.
6. Salma, time to man up! Cat got your tongue?
Scott ,   USA   (03.16.11)
7. Jewish lives were saved, iranian money wasted, GOOD JOB!!!!!
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (03.16.11)
8. What is one shipment gone wrong ?
Nora Tel Aviv   (03.16.11)
Iran has a contract with China. Shipments containing those anti-ship missiles reach regularly Iran without interception. Who can punish China for not abiding to UN arms ambargo to Iran?
9. It was a German ship, so maybe the
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (03.16.11)
German government could find at least some words of exuse...no ? Oh I forgot...that's the way to treat friends here in Germany...
10. anti ship missiles
eddie ,   london UK   (03.16.11)
these came with the 2 Iranian warships that docked at Syrian port; perhaps they should be tested on the next iranian ships that enter the mediterranean!
11. Turn the ship into artificial reef
Adam Helberg ,   USA   (03.16.11)
I agree that there should be consequences for those involved. So my idea is to turn the ship into an artificial reef for divers. Sink it in an area of the Mediterranean that will attract diving tourists. It will help with tourism and at the same time serve as a monument to the treachery of our enemies.
12. Mark from GA, nice to know...
Persian CAT   (03.16.11)
it doesn't take much to make your schoolboy crush on IDF and its shenanigans. Lucky for simpletons like you, the IDF has many more "PRs" to come. Be happy.
13. eddie, better luck next time...
Persian CAT   (03.16.11)
Sorry you guys missed the "opportunity" when it presented itself. Be happy, boy.
14. Question to ynetnews.com folks.
Persian CAT   (03.16.11)
First, I'd like you to know that I really enjoy your publication. Otherwise I would't post comments here. My question is: Do your journalists/reporters REALLY write "news" copies like this, or you just get them wholesale from the IDF propaganda department? I hope you don't mind me asking.
15. #12, #13, #14 Persian
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.16.11)
A good attempt at trying to slough off how serious this is to Iran and how much it hurts. Nice try. Sorry it's not as easy to conquer the world as Iran would like, let alone conquer a country the size of New Jersey.

Well,we CAN write and say what we want and YOU have to kiss HAYATULLAS ass 24/7 and by the looks of things some of YOU love it.
17. The right to self defense for Gaza
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor, UK   (03.16.11)
Under the Oslo Agreement the Palestinians had the right to fish up to 20 nautical miles from the coast. In 2006 Israel unilaterally reduced this fishing zone to only six nautical miles. After the Hamas movement won the democratic elections in January 2006, Dov Weisglas, adviser to Sharon at the time, announced that Israel was going to put the Palestinians 'on a diet', announcing the beginning of the siege of Gaza. In February 2009, one month after its criminal onslaught against Gaza, Israel further reduced the six mile fishing limit to only 3 miles. Israel had just destroyed the agricultural base of Gaza economy, including the massacre of millions of chikckens, cattle and sheep. The imposition of the 3 mile limit was designed to rob the Gazans further of the little access to protein they had at the time. The purpose of the starvation siege was to put the civilian population under pressure. In the past years Gaza's fishing boats and fishermen have been subjected mercilessly to the depredations by Israel's gunboats. They destroy Gazan fishing vessels, and capture and sometimes kill Gazan fishermen, in a bid to prevent them from catching a decent amount of fish to feed the population. Israel's piracy in the sea off Gaza is in violation of international law and decency. The Gazans have in my opinion the full right to defend themselves against predatory Israeli gunboats threatening the fishermen. If these anti-gunboat missiles were indeed meant for Gaza - the evidence of this is so far coming only from a very biased source - I would applaud this. These are measures for self defense of the population helping to secure their access to an important food source.
18. #14, Persian cat, did you ever do some
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (03.16.11)
bunga bunga with the Apeman...??...I am just curious...
19. To: No. 13
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.16.11)
Where's the evidentiary point in interdicting Iranian naval vessels carrying arguably legal cargo when you make a far bigger splash by interdicting the civilian cargo vessel and prevent the weapons on board from reaching their intended designation? It will be a cold, snowy day in August before Egypt allows Iranian vessels through the Suez Canal again. The Egyptian Canal authorities received "assurances" from Iran that no weapons were transiting the Canal. Now, the world knows that Iran lied (gee .... there's a surprise) and Egypt is embarrassed and angry. A lot of other countries are angry, too. Poor, pitiful Islamofascist Republic of Iran. Nuclear aspirations shot to hell; caught red-handed while attempting an illegal arms shipment to a terrorist organization in contravention of international law. Israel really has Iran's number. And yes, we are happy, kitty cat. Very, VERY happy; thanks so much for caring.
20. To: Nora at No. 8
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.16.11)
I wouldn't worry too much. Here's why: 1. China has been chomping at the bit trying to execute an arms deal with Israel -- which would be worth about $18 billion to Israel -- and thus far, despite persistent pleas from the Chinese, Israel has declined, chiefly because the former U.S. administration asked Israel not to conclude such a deal. If Israel puts the deal back on the table (this is, after all, a very different U.S. administration), there is plenty of leverage to convince the Chinese of the folly of their ways. 2. The present U.S. Congress has the right -- and, frankly, the inclination -- to yank China's most favored nation trade status, start applying tariffs to the outsourcing work which is a lucrative source of income for China and start charging cash for the 85 million metric tons of food the U.S. sends to China annually without charge. The merest threat of doing that will make China think twice about shipping arms to the country named on the end-user certificate (Iran) when in fact those arms are in truth destined for on-shipment to state sponsors of terror and terrorist organizations -- in violation of a whole host of international conventions and statutes.
21. To: Chris at No. 9
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.16.11)
No, Chris, the German company that bareboat chartered the vessel to a French shell company established by a Syrian company at the behest of the Islamic Republic of Iran is not to blame.
22. To: No. 17
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.16.11)
The ersatz "Palestinians" have abrogated the Oslo Accords in significant ways on any number of occasions. They cannot therefore claim protections and privileges accorded to them under the Oslo Accords. It's not something that you can arbitrarily observe and then repudiate as suits your purposes, and that is what the ersatz "Palestinians" have been doing. By the way, Gaza does not have the right to claim "territorial waters." They are not a sovereign state.
23. This is a great success, ONLY
Shawn ,   San Diego, U.S.   (03.16.11)
If those responsible and participated are held accountable and are strongly deterred from doing so again by international punishment. Otherwise, the bloodshed that was spared was only delayed.
24. This Sunday we celebrate how we hung HAMAN, ABJ is next!
Chaim ,   NJ USA   (03.16.11)
Iranian fools. They think they are smarter than the all powerful one. See you at the gallows ABJ!
25. What a freakin joke
Who cares??? ,   US   (03.16.11)
Balance? Really? What drugs are you on???
26. #22 Sarah
Eric ,   Toronto   (03.16.11)
You keep using the expression "ersatz " for Palestinians. The word "ersatz" means something that is a "replacement" for something that is not available. So, I do not understand your use of this word. What does it have to do with Palestinians? Can you please clarify. Thanks.
27. #12: P-CAT, not a problem
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (03.16.11)
Ah the personal attack, as the schoolboys say, "stick and stones..."
28. #15. If you think Iran has any intention to...
Persian CAT   (03.16.11)
"conquer a country the size of New Jersey", then you're as dumb as a door knob. Iran has BIGGER fish to fry. BTW, who told you about Iran intending to conquer the world, babe?!
29. Why do we wait and let the iranians keep
jason white ,   afula, israel   (03.16.11)
doing this? Time to hit them with neutron bombs and destroy their government, the mullahs in qom and the revolutionary guard. gaza has to be taught a lesson and bombed. They should also be told each time they complain to the u.n., they will be bombed again.
30. #28 Persian CAT
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.16.11)
If Iran has bigger fish to fry, why all the effort to surround Israel with their weapons while threatening annihilation? And yes, you're right; not the entire world, just that part of the world that is not Shia, let alone moslem. And that is the "bigger fish to fry" of which you speak.
