61. #4 - this shows one thing we can all agree on
William ,   Israel   (03.23.11)
Jordan IS "Palestine" and you rats have no sovereignty.
62. #6 - because they aren't sovereign nations or official govt
William ,   Israel   (03.23.11)
There are many maps which do not show Kurdistan or Basque areas. Why should official maps show disputed areas which have no sovereignty? The "Palestinians" themselves admit that Hamas has no legitimacy because of its 2007 bloody coup while others claim the PA has no legitimacy. If they can't decide, who are we to say one way or another?
63. #20 - will you also accept back the Egyptians in Gaza?
William ,   Israel   (03.23.11)
all 1.5 million of them. Israel lives and will be around forever, including its 7 million strong population.
64. # 63
deutronomy 28 ,   world   (03.23.11)
as long as europe and the US take their citizens back out of palestine, all 6 millions of them palestine lives will be around forever icluding its 7 million strong population.
65. #32 - however, per UNR242, maps are correct
William ,   Israel   (03.23.11)
This land is disputed, not occupied nor ever previously sovereign. The land you cited is not sovereign today either nor do they have a representative govt, with Gaza being run by notorious terrorists (which the US and EU identify as such). Hardly a fair comparison when considering Egypt and Israel have a peace treaty and both are sovereign nations. But then again, Saddam included Kuwait in his maps of Iraq, Syria has maps including both Syria and Lebanon as one State. Do you really want to spread propaganda by trying to compare two items which are very different?
66. failed geography class
Ramon   (03.23.11)
sounds to me like some one was sleeping in Geography class. International borders do get lost a lot with airlines......doesn't just happen in the Middle East. They seem to use maps from the Middle Ages.
67. #1 The reason for that is because Palestine doesnt have an airport!
Samer ,   Alexandria, Egypt   (03.23.11)
We always refer to the land as Palestine but since Palestine is occupied and doesnt have its own airport then the word jordan was used.
68. Israel is paranoid
Masrawy ,   Egypt   (03.23.11)
Oh my god !!! Egypt air erased israel from it's map ??? So what it was probably a stupid mistake !! If Egypt air wanted to erase Israel it wouldn't write Jordan it would write Palestine !!
69. To #20. Arabs NOT original inhabitants of Egypt.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (03.23.11)
You say :” from wherever you came.” The Arabs (living in Egypt) are NOT the original inhabitants of Egypt !! The Arabs originally came from the Arabian Peninsula. So, the Arabs living in Egypt should think of moving back to their home country on the Arabian Peninsula. The original inhabitants of Egypt are the Nubians, whose history (in Egypt) goes back to circa 3000 B.Chr..
70. Masrawy @ 68, you comment has some merit. Then show me
leo ,   usa   (03.23.11)
another "accidentally erased" country and in close proximity to Egypt too. There are many tiny states around. BTW, how do you know it is paranoia is talking rather than common sense? Is it really that baseless?
71. IRAN @ 54, just make sure they do not lose Sinai while
leo ,   usa   (03.23.11)
in search for Egyptian identity.
72. New map includes Israel
Rickie ,   Porto Alegre, Brazil   (03.23.11)
http://www.egyptair.com/English/Pages/EgyptMap.aspx
73. And ELAL does not have route map link
George ,   Cairo, Egypt   (03.23.11)
74. what if ...
Kate Gladstone ,   Albany, New York, US   (03.23.11)
An idea -- what if Israeli airports stopped allowing EgyptAir flights to land? After all, if an airline in one country won't admit that another country exists, why should the people in the "non-existent" country admit any plane from that airline?
75. Jordan Stretches to the Sea
jon ,   modiin   (03.23.11)
So its fair to say then that the Israeli Air traffic controllers will not see the incoming Egyptian planes as they try and land on the now non-existant runway?
76. BHO's payback for all the jewish support in NY?
ahsamed ,   Columbus, GA, USA   (03.24.11)
I guess this is part of BHO's Hope and Change? We are fools in the US to think Isreal is not in danger and fighting for its survival
77. Lies. Although other map shows dash line for int'l border
Rema ,   US   (03.24.11)
78. #20
Nelie ,   USA   (03.24.11)
Just remember the time when Moses cross the river....and remember the promise of God to Jakob. In God we trust.....
79. money speaks louder than letters .. Egyptian muppets ..
ATM ,   Tel Aviv   (03.24.11)
80. This is SILLY - route map only includes cities they fly to
JK ,   USA   (03.24.11)
I just looked at the route map for the Middle East on their website. While none of the countries are precisely drawn, there clearly is a delineated space roughly corresponding to Israel (in fact it is a Likud-friendly map in that Israel stretches from the Med to the Jordan River with no solid or dotted lines for the PA areas). EygptAir route maps only include cities that they fly to -- in fact that is the purpose of the interactive map in that it lights up routes when you mouse over a city. Several countries in Europe are similarly outlined without any cities, presumably since EgyptAir doesn't fly there. Also, as the article makes clear, only a subsidiary SinaiAir flies to Israel (perhaps for political reasons). Presumably SinaiAir has a separate website. While EgyptAir may not be a blue-and-white Zionist company, it's pretty ludicrous to blame them for any malevolence (and I am quite a right wing Zionist!). So chill out and save the complaints for companies and countries that are more provably and blatantly discriminatory.
81. No Israel-Bad, No Gaza-Great, No Egypt, even better
Sadie ,   USA   (03.24.11)
82. TO ALL WHO POST
Hamid ,   Detroit, US   (03.24.11)
I find your comments very interesting and intuitive. But the argument may be a waste of time. Israel will NEVER cease to exist. Face it and use your energy in arguing outcome possible solutions. The facts are the facts. Israel will be here forever and there is nothing that Palestinians or Europeans can do about it. I respect your fervor guys but sorry, you're wasting you time.
83. Map
Chaim Yankel ,   Oshkosh, USA   (03.24.11)
Duh, winning!
84. I am embarrassed to be Arab
Hamid ,   Cairo, Detroit, US   (03.24.11)
I am Muslim Egyptian. I left Egypt because the population is incapable of thinking for themselves. Whatever they are not told, they don't know. My people "fight" for liberty and yet they are the most hateful, uneducated, feeble-minded, emotional, irrational, and backwards people on the planet. I think these "revolutions" are so amusing - my people get very emotional and then return to their hatred, women beating/killing, and blame their idiocy on Jews. It's always the Jews. It's laughable that in the age of the internet, and access to information the Arab people, especially the Palestinians, they become more and more feudal-minded... Palestinians would rather claim the beach of Tel Aviv than raise their children with science, books, and would rather send their children to die than seek a better life, to seek a better "Ramallah" or "Tulkarm." They are not smart enough to think that way - as they continue to promote terror and also throw their sewage in the middle of their towns.... too bad... the almighty one has really created a class of human rats. I'm sorry to say, they are Arabs like me.
85. the map.
slug ,   iowa city, iowa   (03.24.11)
Damascus does not look like it is in the correct place.
86. responce to 25
stan ,   hartford usa   (03.24.11)
thank you for your thoughtfull comment #25. the answer to why Israel cannot be allowed to exist is Islam. since Israel is not a muslim country. the muslims believe with every fiber of their being that the infidels must be expunged. this includes 99% of muslims. they don't agree on much, but they almost all agree Israel has no right to exisit.
87. Pespective From Syria
David Nararah ,   Syria   (03.24.11)
Well, my perspective is not exactly representative of all or any Syrians. The Arabs, especially the Palestinians, believe they have suffered and suffered and suffered. The cycle of complaining repeats itself. Even amidst revolutions in my country, Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and soon Turkey... the Arab mind cannot grasp the idea of tackling its own problems, problems of Arabs, by the Arabs themselves. That's why Palestine, a group of uneducated, and sadly, less intelligent people cannot understand that they must create their own futures. Even with Tel Aviv beaches, Israel's buildings in tact, if Israel were kicked out, and all the money one could imagine, they would not be able to create anything worth exporting, anything worth attracting foreign investment, anything capable ofsustaining themselves... they cannot.. I am arab... I am part Palestinian. I hear and listen to my people everyday... they can't understand how to care for their own - they are like children, sad to say, waiting for handouts from liberal europeans who actually believe our troubles are caused by Israelis. This is laughable... the troubles start in the minds of the Arabs, the Palestinians. They must first care for their children, chose food over death of their kids choose shelter over weapons and rubble. Maybe they will grow up and act like the rest of the world one day.. I know I have...
88. re: egypt and its folly
joel ,   usa   (03.24.11)
from a dictator egypt is going to the "muslim brotherhood" group, this is what those egyptian professionals wanted to happened, give them their choice and see them "sunk" further down? the usa aids must be withdrawn and let them stand on their on feet!
89. so...
Morgana ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.24.11)
Not worth noting Israel unless there's money involved(flights actually going there!) If you're going to do what you fein to pretend to believe in, cancel the flights.... nope, that would cost money. No credibility.
90. Shocker!
Dale ,   Spanaway, USA   (03.24.11)
I bet the people of Damascus and Amman are going to be real unhappy when they wake up tomorrow and find out they have been moved to Israel. Earthquake? New hire at Egypt AIr? I wouldn't worry to much about it.
