Baruch ,   Marin County, CA   (03.24.11)
Drives 'em crazy, doesn't it...
32. #29 kenneth
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.24.11)
Why 1948? Why not 1840, when a Turkish census showed Jews in the majority? Or 600 CE, before Islam? 'Palestine' is a lot older than 63 years.
33. to#24
Jennie ,   US/ISrael   (03.24.11)
You said it All, Noah Lev ! What is the point to have such an arsenal of defense and offense ability, if it is not being used in times of need ? But I believe, that the wrath and the battle they (the palis) are asking for, must and will happen soon: when they least expect it...It No hidiing will help...Israel is striving for peace and showing it by heavy and deadly sacrifices...But if challanged and pushed to the limits, they'll do what it takes to win and this time to finish the job...
34. what say you then, Jus Richard Coldstone?
mary of Bethany ,   singapore   (03.24.11)
you are as good as the cold stones standing at the war memorial lawn. too cold to think, to dead to feel? i say fly all the phosphorus shells to UN headquarter! yet again, they may not do anything again....
35. 28 WP is real nasty stuff
Ali ,   Scotland   (03.24.11)
The point I was making is there was no WP in Gaza until Israel introduced it.WP is worse than explosives! I don't want to see it being used again. Israel is the occupying force and the Palestinians are resisting,Israel must put its self in their shoes then find a way to peace rather than play tit for tat and the blame game.Israel could use the settlements for peace, many a refugee would settle for a nice new house in the west bank.Going by the figures of deaths on both sides its obvious carrot works better than stick. The Palestinians want peace without being forced into giving Israel land and Israel wont play ball.
36. #3 - so Gazans collected phosphorous together to add to RPG?
William ,   Israel   (03.24.11)
Is that before or after your ilk claimed it was so dangerous that it burnt bodies and caused ailments? Hmm - and of course, if it doesn't ignite it doesn't cause the smoke you see in the photos of Gaza. And if it does ignite, then it becomes useless residue. Quite a racist conundrum you have there, Ali.
37. #8 - IDF didn't use phosphorous the same way
William ,   Israel   (03.24.11)
The IDF's use was condoned as legal by the UN and ICRC who investigated it. The terrorists' use is not legal under Intl Law and is considered a war crime.
38. #13 - because of the letter of the law
William ,   Israel   (03.24.11)
You're an idiot. Apparently your own opinion is more worthy than Intl Law and the experts behind the legislation. Bullets are also ok if used per the law - that is, against enemies during war, but it is illegal to use them against civilians. Get it?
39. #26 - our roots are pretty deep
William ,   Israel   (03.24.11)
they extend in this land for several millennium, whether we eat borscht or hummous.
40. #29 - from where, exactly?
William ,   Israel   (03.24.11)
If you mean from Israel...then it's a moot point. Israel is a sovereign nation and can invite anyone to immigrate as they choose. I believe the UK exercises this right when they invite hostile Muslims to live among you turds. If you mean in Gaza, West Bank, I agree with you. After all from 1948-1967 both Egypt and Jordan violated the Geneva Convention and transferred Arab populations into those regions, respectively, to create facts on the ground. Jordan did it while illegally annexing the WB in a move that ONLY the UK and Pakistan supported.
41. War is the last thing we need. But the attacks have to stop.
Joshua Twito ,   NYC, USA   (03.24.11)
Settlements are not an obstacle to peace, terrorism is!
42. Why file a complaint with the UN?
Fed Up US Taxpayer   (03.24.11)
Israel and the US blocked Palestine from becoming a member.
43. # 6 Dugard, Goldstone, Falk, HRW, AI, & Btselem did complain

45. how enter this phosphorus to gaza?
Ricardo Lopez ,   Lima, Peru   (03.24.11)
you are telling that inside gaza, they have the "money" to buy or the technology to "make" this "white phosphorus"... and you write "banned by international law" yes!!! you are so right "they are banned under INTERNATIONAL LAW".. precisely with this very chemical weapon israel attacked gaza on 2008, and if it is "banned by international law" how many people are in jail at least for the victims of this lethal weapon back in 2008 in gaza were hundreds of children died..? i think its a sick joke to tell everybody that some mortars were shot causing "No injuries or damages were reported in the attack" and: "some of them contained phosphorus".. not remembering how many this "white phosphorus" israel spread in gaza back in 2008.
46. #35 Ali
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.24.11)
"The Palestinians want peace without being forced into giving Israel land and Israel wont play ball." Well, du-uh. Ever heard of "compromise"? Demands without being willing to talk do not speak of a desire for peace. And Israel is the "occupying force" for a reason: the arabs incessant attacks and unwillingness to stop.
47. Not Funny !
Salma ,   Palestine   (03.24.11)
Apparently decision is taken in"Israel" Cast Lead 2 is coming-it's on the way : (
48. Ali: Without going into numerous
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (03.24.11)
details, why don't you educate yourself by reading the Hamas charter? It explicitly states that one of its primary purposes as an entity is to see to the obliteration of the state of Israel including its military, cultural, economic and political systems. Once you've actually read and digested this reading material, please return with a measured response.
49. to #3 not oncivians, ali, all the men that

51. Now I understand why the M.E is sinking
jo   (03.24.11)
Under the load of so many Jewish bombs. # 24, Noah Lev, impressive. For years our foe as well as our friends have been playing the guessing." how many do they have? ".You Noah come along with proven, substantiated, verified number of 500. Nothing like a jew to outsmart other Jews; and goyim of course.
52. PFFT UN
shawn ross ,   rapid city USA   (03.24.11)
The only thing that should be sent to the UN in a bag full of dog poo. The proper response to this attack is a pumpkin chukin contest. Who ever shoots a pumpkin into gaza the furthest wins.
53. #44 Ali
BEN JABO ,   ISRAELI   (03.24.11)
You side fires what ever it wants wherever it wants to, you deserve no less in return As I've said many a time, if you don't want retribution, don't ask for it by firing at us Nasty, NO!, realistic, you better believe it
