in any deal with the arabs, it is clear that since they want no jews in their area, then israel will have to essentially have no arabs except the loyal druse and some bedouin. The rest of the arabs who do not remain loyal like tibi, zoabi and zamalka and raed and their followers will be part of the arab area. And that will be final. Unless, tibi and zoabi, are you listening, you demonstrate loyalty to israel. And tibi with your ph.d., stop now with your lies. You know very well that israel is the ancient landlord and that you are the foreign interloper. However, future wars may settle the whole problem because of the large number of casualties. A mixed israel arab society is preferred especially with arabs like kara and others who love their country and not the allah worshippers who yell cut the heads off the yahud.
2. we need to get rid of the arabs
zionist forever   (04.01.11)
They might like life here but they are not loyal to the state, they want to take all give nothing. If we do at some point in future create a PLO state then it should involve the trading of land like the Jordan Valley in exchange for the arab triangle. Just redrawing the borders arabs find themselves on the wrong side of the fence as a result they loose Israel their Israeli citizenship. The fact that most Jerusalem arabs want to remain under Israeli sovereignty won't affect the political situation so lets not get to excited about the idea this may help us in the so called peace process. We need to just get rid of as many arabs as possible. Its good for the Jewish majority and the economy.

tiki ,   belgium   (04.01.11)
Israeli ID prefered by PLO/Hamas officials, by hate & pro terrorist messengers, by arabs through marriage and by illigals. Of course....the're not stupid, Israel is! The Sisters of Haniyeh live in the Negev, hallelujah! They get all the social benefits while nobody stops them from inciting from the inside, meaning they get paid by the state to spread their hate around. Bravo, half the job done. Who are those 'geniusses that let that 5th colonne wandering freely.
4. palestinians/arabs living in the land between the river jord
realist. ,   world/planet earth.   (04.01.11)
of course the palestinians/arabs want to live in that land because they are born there and they have lived/live there their entire life. the same as many people who want to live in their (home)-land. there can be exceptions on the rule. that'"s one of the reasons they also have the right to live there and the palestinians also have the right to return or compensation if they want . same rights for jews.

And what if they are taking Israel slowly until they become Israel's majority and push jews out of Israel? I think we should be scared rather than snobs.
6. of course they do....
R Coyner ,   usa   (04.01.11)
They need only look at the brutality against their cousins in the occupied areas and the burgeoning system of apartheid to make their decision. There seems to be no hope that they will attain their freedom and no end in sight to the oppression. So for now, they would rather be treated as second class citizens than be among the occupied people with no human or civil rights. And of course, the previous posters with their racist, Jewish supremacist rants demonstrate the need for freedom and self determination for the Palestinians.
7. Jews prefer stealing WB over living in Israel

i was watching an interview with rabbi meir kahane in 1989 on the american tv he was so moderate and logical in all his views most of those who called him during the interview by phone were endorsing his views kahane wasnt racist , he was afraid that the arabs will pose a demographic threat so he said that the arabs shouldnt enjoy any democratic rights or they must leave the country i dont see any racism here as the arabs themselves dont enjoy such rights in their countries why they enjoy it in israel while they are hating it ??? so it is logical that they shouldnt enjoy any democratic rights but they can live in israel i think that the so called kahane followers like marzel , ben givir dont represent his legacy but when it comes to arabs they are right as they believe that israel must expel its enemies not all the arabs any country must expel its enemies but i think that mosy of the arabs i israel are its enemies kahane was right
9. Almost too hilarious for words...
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (04.01.11)
In a survey done in the 1850's in the US by southern slaveholders, it was discovered that the black population would prefer living as slaves rather than be sent to Africa wherever the ship dropped them off. Seriously, whoever said that Israeli Jews don't have a sense of humor. Oh, you mean this article is serious? Boy, you guys are becoming morre hopeless by the day.
10. Leila, land was never yours

11. In response to #9, Mikesailor
Milt ,   MN, USA   (04.01.11)
What is hilarious is your ridiculous analogy of Israeli Arabs to Black slaves in the 1800’s. On one hand you have people who are being asked to move 1000’s of miles to a culture/land where many had never even lived. While on the other you have people who either will move a few miles or none at all, just a change in who governs them. Think before you post sailor as your boat is taking on water.
12. 2nd class citizen better than personal liberty and freedom??
christianpalestinian ,   las vegas   (04.01.11)
This sounds like the usual zionist propganda. What human being would prefer such a scenario?

Oscar ,   Fort Worth, TX   (04.01.11)
The main difference is: the Israeli arabs DO have the choice. They can get rid of the Israeli citizenship at any time if they chose to do so.
14. Palestinians have everything in Israel
Daniela   (04.01.11)
wehatever their arabs brothers do not have. palestinians have jobs and salaries, they have democracy, they have freedom, they enjoy free heath services like the israelis ! their only problem is that this little paradise is called Israel and not Palestine. Palestine will never ever look like Dubai. Even if it will be established one day, it will be a country based on jihad and terrorism against Israel. It will be a place with a high rate of unemployment and lack of freedom. I understand why so many palestinians prefer to stay in Israel they do not trust their authorities.
15. # 9 Learn to Read
Thomas ,   US   (04.01.11)
The poll wasn't conducted by Israelis but by the "The Palestinian Center for Public Opinion headed by Nabil Kukali of Beit Sakhur". Further, "the poll was commissioned and supervised by the Princeton-based Pechter Middle East Polls and the NY-based Council on Foreign Relations."
16. # 6 Coyner
Thomas ,   US   (04.01.11)
According to the article even if the Palestinians were awarded their own state and could exercise self-determination, the majority of Arabs in Israel would still prefer to retain their Israeli citizenship. But of course if you bothered to read the article you'd know that instead of making up your "facts".

Tibi has no PhD......he has a diploma of Medical Doctor. He did not get a Doctorate in Medicine.... As you should know most M.D. are called "Dr" but they don't have any doctorate...
18. Why are the Israelis not doing the necesary PR.
Lee ,   Manchester UK   (04.01.11)
this is all the world needs to understand!? Another arab terror state created on Jewish land will only bring more unequivocal bloodshed! The world is sick on Jew envy1
19. PCPO

"A sizeable number of Jerusalem Arabs prefer to remain under Israel's sovereignty, according to a January 12, 2011 public opinion poll conducted by The Palestinian Center for Public Opinion headed by Nabil Kukali of Beit Sakhur. The poll was commissioned and supervised by the Princeton-based Pechter Middle East Polls and the NY-based Council on Foreign Relations." The interesting point is that this poll does not appear on the PCPO website. The latest poll according to the website is No. 174, dated Dec. 29, 2010. Polls 172 and 173 are not referenced. If someone has a link to the actual poll report, please post it.
20. Members of terrorist orgs need to go
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (04.01.11)
No citizenship or even residency for any members of the PA, PLO, Fatah, Hamas, PFLP, etc.
21. You got it wrong Mr. !
Amer Almani ,   Jerusalem, Palestine   (04.01.11)
It is not we want to live under israel soverignity or because we prefer to live under your fake democracy. We know pretty sure how riddiculous the future Palestinian state (if ever) will be. It will be surrounded by you, you will control everything, and you will make sure that someone like the corrupted Abbas or the traitor dahlan or the stupid dreamer Haniyeh will be on charge.

The Pals have more rights in Israel better goverment , health care in he ZIONIST state. Than any where in the Arab world. What I hear from you is ignorance and and hatred.
23. Pay most Arabs to leave Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.01.11)
There are many reasons Arabs prefer life in Israel. Some like Israel's high standard of living, opportunity, financial vibrancy etc. However, we can't ignore the fact that many of Israel's Arab residents wish to, slowly and nonviolently. turn Israel into another Arab country. Although many Arabs prefer Israel, that is no reason to let them stay in Israel. Israel should pay most Arabs to leave.
24. (wrong title)Palestinian prefer life in Palestine
palestinian   (04.01.11)
25. #7 - you are as evil and committed to your lies....
Andy ,   Washington, DC   (04.01.11)
as Helen Thomas is to hers. The tide is against you. The truth of Israel's fairness, in philophy and practice, will shine - just as we see crumbling the cancers of Assad, Mubarak, Ghadafi, Ben-Ali, the House of Saud and, of course, Khameni/Ahamdenijad. There never was a more just, equitable and righteous national movement as Zionism and the Jewish State of Israel - not because everything it has done or everything done in its name has been just - but because its leaders have tried over and over and over again to rectify legitimate beefs and work out a solution to this dispute. We know this and have demonstrated it over and over and over again. And your lies will end up in the dustbin of history. So go ahead, Laila, keep advocating for the Palstinian narrative of injustice, which while true in the sense that there are legitimate beefs on both sides of this dispute, ultimately is based on a foundation of lies - refusal to negotiate fairly, the feeding of hate like mother's milk, the taking of billions of $ intended to education and welfare and stealing it for corrupt leaders (hello - has anybody audited Mrs. Arafat's acccounts? Or documented the destruction of the Jewish economic infrastrusture of Gaza that the Jews left behind in 2008 in favor of terror) and the pursuit of war - and and a level of unspeakable violence deliberately targeting civilians - and hatred - based on the idea not of creating an Arab Palestinian state, but of destroying the world's only Jewish one. You are on the wrong side if you are not for compromise with us. The mantra of "From the river to the sea - Palestine will be free" that you hear on American campuses means that from the Jordan River to the Mediteranean sea - which includes all of Israel - is what they want. Not compromise. Not 2 states that make room for everyone. You are fooling nobody. And in fact, you are the one who has been fooled.
26. no. 12, Israeli 2nd class citizen has more liberty & freedom
(04.01.11)
than in any of the backward , miserable and pathetic Arab countries much more liberty and freedom you should kiss feet, shoes and behinds of your Zionist "oppressors"
27. No. 9, The Hilarious Sailor, what Arab country Arabs prefer?
(04.01.11)
If you are so knowledgeable and Hilarious, please let us all know the results of your poll They are rising up in every Arab country against their sorry state, and are far from being out of the woods into a civilized era
28. #15 - #9 is blinded by by bias so how can he read?

29. Yes , I Agree With You...
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem   (04.01.11)
I am Arab of East Jerusalem and I hereby surely and openly declare that I do feel more secure as much as I enjoy much freedom under Israeli control. I have no compunction to say so overtly... !
30. reply to "christian" pali #12
Paul ,   USA   (04.01.11)
If you are a true christian, then you believe that the Bible is God's word and final. God is the ultimate Zionist. He plainly gave the 12 tribes of Israel their land boundries. Read Numbers 34:1-12 and Ezekiel 47:13-20. Whether you know it or not, you are apart of Ezekiel 38-39, just on the wrong side.
