1. Oh, please....
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (04.05.11)
Are these lamentations of the illegal immigrants' children never going to cease? And why does the text always read as if the children are to be deported alone?
2. Israel must think strategically and not emocionally
Keren ,   IL-BR   (04.05.11)
Israel must think about Israel nowadays and with its sight in Israel 100 and more years ahead. What would be Israel like in the future if it keeps these people in? My opinion is that Israel is not prepared and should not absorb this people, because Israel yet struggles with different religions and peoples willing to supersed our people. When all other problems that we have ,as arabs and even christian missionaries and all in between, will be solved, then, and only then Israel can open space to foreigners willing to live among us. But not yet.
3. I like the zen of Israeli protests
Ypip ,   Canada   (04.06.11)
as much as the wide open spaces of the tundra or a wide open desert.
4. Intruders are abusive as always! Hutzpah!
Phoenix ,   Israel   (04.06.11)
They have nothing to protest! Nothing!!!! They are not from here!!! They are ilegal aliens!!!! They have their own countries where they actually belong and not to Israel. The fact that they entered ilegaly to our country and produced children makes them only criminals. We do not Owe NOthing to these people.
5. We didn't enter Israel as intruders or illegal
Thelma FOCAL ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.06.11)
We enter Israel with working permit given by the ministry of Interior. We are not aliens and we are not illegal people on earth particularly in Israel. We have the rights as human being. Right to get married, right to have a family and right to have children. We know that Israel has it's own identity but Israel people must know that we have international laws also being followed. we are people and same like you. treat as human so that we will treat you as human.
6. We know our side...
Thelma Tagal ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.06.11)
yes, it's true that we are not citizen in Israel and we know that in the first place. we came here to work but please give us space to work silently because in the end we will go back to our own country.
7. Thelma, if your permit has expired
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (04.06.11)
it's time for you to go home, period. No one says you haven't a right to work, marry, have a family, etc., but the proper place to carry it out is in your native country. Israel has its own population - massive, in such a small area - to contend with.
8. Yes we know our limitation
Thelma ,   Jerusalem   (04.06.11)
Yes, we know that we have limited years of stay. don't panic we are responsible enough to go home when the time dictates. we don't have plan to live in Israel because we are not Israelis. just treat us human so we can live peacefully...
9. They all have to go
Tony ,   Brooklyn, NY   (04.06.11)
Look how they abuse their own children. They broke their Visa restrictions that said "No Children" while working in Israel. No "Anchor Babies" in Israel. Remove them as soon as possible.
10. @#5 did you read the fine print on your work permit?
Na'ama ,   Jerusalem   (04.06.11)
where exactly does it say that it is an immigrant visa leading to permanent resident status? No where...I've read those permits they are limited by time and you agreed to it. So why is it that you can't honor your commitment to leave and I have to feel bad about it?
11. Thelma y r u implying that u aren't treated well?
Israela ,   Israel   (04.06.11)
What purpose does that serve? You know and I know that you receive work benefits and conditions equal to those of Israeli workers. You know and I know that many of you don't leave you overstay your visas and you make every effort to blame Israel for not giving you what you want! Really would you behave that way in your own country? I doubt it! You know and I know that if you were anywhere else in the middle east you wouldn't be making anywhere near half the amount of money that you make here and you wouldn't have any of the benefits. So exactly what are you complaining about? Enough with your belly aching and guilt tripping...your contract is up go back to your own country!
12. Thelma #5,#6 is showing why we must not keep them in Israel.
Keren ,   IL-BR   (04.06.11)
Israel has plenty of people turning against us because we refuse to pamp their no senses. They should have shorter permits and contracts and go away quickly. If they keep in Israel as illegals, they must be sent away ASAP when caught, and heavy penalties should be applyed to those who employ them illegaly.
13. ISRAEL GOVERNMENT KNOWS THIS??
sum1 ,   tel aviv   (04.06.11)
ISRAEL GOVERNMENT KNOWS THIS?? FILIPINO people wholeheartedly offer a safe heaven and refuge for EUROPEAN JEWS in the year 1938, that even the FILIPINO people is cared and prayed, and helped them on the persecution of JEWS during NAZI years and extended our brotherly welcome to the JEW...ISH IMMIGRANTS. More importantly, the PHILIPPINES offered 10,000 visas for EUROPEAN JEWS, and 1200 visas were later issued just before the war. T ake PHILIPPINE government offered them 10,000 visas, how many childrens especially FILIPINOS children who are subject for deportation by now? I am calling you my dear JEWS, to spare us on this issue, for one time the FILIPINO PEOPLE welcome you with open hearts.Pres. Quezon offered employment opportunities and supported the construction of housing community for the JEWS, COMPLETE WITH FARMLAND taken from his own private estate for the refugees used. WHAT A good FILIPINO gesture he did. NOW , MY QUESTION IS, are the FILIPINO CHILDREN STILL PART OF THESE CHILDREN DEPORTATION? Aside from these, from the 33 countries we are only ASIAN NATION, THE PHILIPPINES who voted ISRAEL to become STATE OF ISRAEL
14. drivel
Emma ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (04.06.11)
what nonsense. Why should an illegal migrant be allowed to stay in Israel because she has a 2 year old child. The child has no affinity with the State. This is purely economic expedience supported by the far left and there friends in the media who will do anything to try and make Israel a little bit less Jewish. There is a strong argument for letting school age children stay. But the real chutzpah here is blaming the government for the behavior of Illegals. They were not forced to come to Israel. We should however force them to leave.
