61. No protection is afforded to Terrorist Governments
Lonny George   (04.10.11)
No fly Zones are afforded to Governments which don't engage and support terrorism . Gaddafi and Hamas are both Terrorist Governments and are therefore legitimate targets who deserve no protection as they put their Civilians and Israeli civilians in harms way. They are responsible for casualties and when they take a responsible attitude and stop their terrorist factions from targeting civilians on both sides only then can reasonable negotiations commence. False truces fool nobody and just offer thenm breathing space to regroup their terrorists and missile workshops.
62. @#2 - you have no sense of reality
Arie ,   BaGolan   (04.10.11)
Keep drinking the kool aid george soros feeds you through obama! Israel has repeatedly offered to give the Palestinians almost everything they want and they routinely refuse it. Both the Hamas AND the PA charters directly call for the destruction "of the criminal Zionist entity, by violence if necessary." If you don't believe that, and you probably don't since Soros Obama deny it, go to the Pali UN website where the charters are posted for public view. While you stay in a state with one of the highest tax and welfare rates in the US and one of the highest murder rates in the States, i have no issue with my government (other than their being too weak in taking out Hamas), I can walk the roads at night, and I enjoy some of the best universities and medical care in the world! While your taxpayer dollars go to pay some bimbo $32000 to teach kids how to party at a state school, your homeless numbers grow and your levels of mental disease grow as well. You want reality..then concern yourself about the degradation and destruction of America by "progressive" McCarthyites of the left who are anxiously looking to make the US a territory of Iran and China
63. "proportionate rsponse"
An American Patriot ,   San Antonio, TX   (04.10.11)
Explains the hundreds of US cruise missiles fired in Libya to exchange Qaddafi for al Qaeda at the behest of the Arab League. Explains the thousands of innocent Kurds massacred by Erdogan. Explains the thousands of civilians killed in Afghanisan and Pakistan for every one terrorist killed
64. The Arab League gets together, no to discuss the slaughter
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.10.11)
of Syrian citizens by their government; not to discuss the slaughter of Libyan citizens by their government; not to even mention the killing that goes on in Yemen, Egypt and Bahrain, all Arab states that kill their own citizens in the hundreds. The Arab League got together to defend those who attempted to mass murder Jewish children inside Israel's sovereign territory traveling on a well marked yellow school bus. This is how cynical the Muslim-Arab world is...!! But worse, the real reason for this decision is to elevate the position of Amr Mussa's position in his attempt to become the next president of Egypt. In order to do so, one must appear to be tough with Israel, so he does, and millions in the Muslim-Arab world, including in Egypt, actually believe his sincerity.

66. No fly Zone?they want Israel to throw rockets at Gaza people
a better response?   (04.10.11)
67. The League of Arab Losers
GOOD ,   USA/IL   (04.10.11)
Whiny whine scumbags. Their world is falling apart and of course they resort to the centuries old solution - blame the Jews. What is a proportionate response to the slaughter of a family, including a baby? What is a proportionate response to shooting a missile at a school bus? or shooting hundreds of rockets and projectiles directed at civilians? And you, Turkish LapDogGoneWild - stop barking already, nobody cares about what you have to say.
68. 50
zionist forever   (04.10.11)
If the Arab League decided to push for a no fly zone Israel would have no say in the matter no matter who our politicians are same way Gaddafi had no say in the matter on if there would be a no fly zone over Libya or not. So far with every revolution in the arab world Obama has taken his time on deciding whose side he is on and what to push for and in the case of Libya he was the last western leader to even condemn Gaddafi by name. Admittedly Bibi & Barak are not the best PM & DM we have ever had but we also have the most ant Israel president alive today who has been taking the attitude that arabs can do no wrong so that weakens Israel's political establishment further.
69. And Amir Moussa will be next president of Egypt!!!! Oy Vei!!
ari ,   Romania Israel   (04.10.11)
Amir Moussa has alway been anti israeli, but now he has oversteped his own stupidity- They brought down Mubarak and know they will make president this imbecile. The arabs are going from bad to worst. How come he has not commenting on slaughter going on in Syria, in Lybia. Again inflating numbers from 50 to 80 casualties in Gaza. Most of them Hamas or Jihad members, so far only 6 civilian deaths consedering they are being used as human shields the civilian casualties are low( it is a pitty about civilian casuelties but if somebody is to be blamed, Hamas is)
70. @35 Arrogance leads to defeat...
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (04.10.11)
Don't be so arrogant. Israel we can all agree is a strong country, however if certain powers pull the support plug on Israel it could very well collapse. No country in this global economy can support it self militarily or economically. Your problem If Israel didn't have American support (VETO) would be enormous so don't discount the UN or EU they have more power than you could imagine.
71. How tacky: 'no-fly-zone paper'
Ypip ,   Canada   (04.10.11)
with a bunch of little flies stuck to it.
72. LMAO!!!!
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (04.10.11)
Who is going to go up against the IAF? Egypt? Jordan? Syria? Lebanon? Saudi Arabia? Or how about Libya? Come on, be real. France and the UK don't have the power to impose anything on us. The US won't because they are a real democracy and the people would never stand for the US attacking Israel.
73. Thanks to all you imbeciles who supported the Libyan war
Jake ,   USA   (04.10.11)
74. #33
Harold ,   USA   (04.10.11)
Wise-up and wake-up Mr. 33. There are no Israeli soldiers inside Gaza but it is surrounded by air, sea and land. In order words Gaza is the largest open air prison in the history of man kind. It seems you are living on another planet who knows nothing what is happening in Gaza.
75. #37 - pilots? I think not...
seadog1946 ,   ArthurKill, NJ   (04.10.11)
when was the last time an Israeli pilot, in an one one gunfight, shot down an enemy aircraft. It's no longer the pilot... he/she just flies a weapons platform that detects/designates a very distant target and lets loose a "fire and forget" weapon at that target. It's no longer about a pilot's skill... it's all about superior avionics and "intelligent" weapons. The days of diving out of the sun/cloud to engage in a one on one gunfight are long gone.
76. No Fly Zone
Ralph Levy ,   USA   (04.10.11)
Go ahead Arab League and UN Make our Day. Israel will know what to do if one foreign military aircraft flys over Gaza.
77. How about NO ROCKET/MISSILE ZONE for Israel?
Jay ,   USA   (04.10.11)
I wonder if the Arab League would endorse a bill that would comdemn those that fire rockets and missiles at Israel?
78. Propose for Security Concil resolution
YZ   (04.10.11)
a. Israel should not kill civilians in one day in Gaza, more than Bashar Assad killed in Syria the previous day. b. Overall, Israel should not kill more people in Gaza, than the Turks killed Armenian, Kurdish and Greeks in Cyprus. c. If Israel would not comply on two previous articles, Obama will impose sanctions and will not visit Israel any more as the U.S. president.
79. Turkey
Alex   (04.10.11)
Israel should cut off literally ALL ties with the traitor that is Turkey. They keep undermining and backstabbing the Jewish State. Other than that, Turkey should be sanctioned and their products boycotted for the violation of human rights which due to the growing trend of Islamic fundamentalism that is supported by the Turkish government, and also for their support of rogue states and terrorist organizations. I wonder how long will Israel take s*** from Erdogan before the gloves get finally pulled off.
80. Arab League of Dictators....End
james ,   uk/il   (04.10.11)
81. Getting out the 'old horse again, to get elected.
tiki ,   belgium   (04.10.11)
"The region cannot be allowed to get into a new circle of violence?????April fools day was 10 days ago. Amr Mussa probably will stay a fool forever.
82. Lying, thieving, brutal Arab League leaders
Brian Cohen Judean P ,   Judean Peoples Front   (04.10.11)
This is the same Arab League, otherwise known as the Arab Dictators Old Boys Club. They are thieves, liars, and brutally vicious dictators. Of course they do everything they can to try and get the world press to not report that their people are fighting bank against them. There should be a boycott and divestment movement against all Arab dictatorships, and an immediate boycott of the purchase or dirty Arab oil - which only lines the pockets of these self-appointed criminals.
83. How about the Arab League impose a "no fly" zone
Cynic ,   USA   (04.10.11)
The IAF could use some practice in real air-to-air combat
84. I've got a better idea
Nour ,   One-State   (04.10.11)
Shoot down any plane above Gaza, from Egypt and the sea. It's halal.
85. Arab League
Max ,   Washington DC   (04.10.11)
This "League" is a joke but unfortuneately Moussa may become the President of Egypt and with the Moslem Brotherhood negate the rights of the Egyptian People for Freedom as well as the Peace Treaty with Israel.
86. #2 American Jew Realist
Daniel ,   Washington, and TA   (04.10.11)
You are spot on! Israel does need to change the status quo. It is time Israel turn to the new Egyptian government and tell them, " we pulled out of Gaza of our own free will. It was Egyptian land in 1948 and it's now yours again. Do as you will with it but our borders and services to Gaza are sealed. YOU supply the power, water and whatever else they need. We're through."
87. Oppose the Israeli Air Force ?
Ed Zebrowsky ,   LARKSVILLE USA   (04.10.11)
Oppose the Israeli Air Force ? Any pilot from any country in the world would break out into a sweat hearing those orders. NATO does not have the power to stop the IAF. NATO should go into Gaza and stop the terrorists from launching Missles. NATO supports Israel.
88. turkey's right. we shoudl be proportionate. hit a school bus
ralph   (04.10.11)
or better still a school. what stupid shit. lets see how un responds? if it does not acknowledge war crime by hamas or talks of no-flight zone then we know its garbage.
89. @1
(04.10.11)
Sure... and make pigs fly
90. #57; Harold, Why would we do That???
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.10.11)
First I just finished watching a couple Sunday Morning News Talk Shows. The Middle East wasn't even mentioned, because it's already falling off the the news radar. But why would the USA want a "No Fly Zone" over Gaza? It make no sense? Hamas started this fight and certainly Israel has a right to defend itself. There is no such thing as a "disproportional response" in Gaza. They want a war, and the ability to attack Israel without paying any retaliatory price, sorry it doesn't work that way. Gen. Patton once said "you win Wars not by dying for your country, but you make the other SOB die for his". This almost applies, since Hamas has a stated goal go destroy Israel, and Israel certainly has a right to self defense.. Last time I looked, Israel didn't have to apologize for being stronger, and having a better army, right? When the USA just bombed Libya do you think we used "proportional force". because we didn't. We used overwhelming force, that's how you win. Would you ask Israel to do less? Especially since it's their butt on the line, not yours.
