THAT IS CORRECT, THEREFORE ISRAEL CAN "AIM" ITS MISSILES ON THESE COUNTRIES AND LET THERE BE DESTRUCTIONS ON THESE TERRORIST STATES, UNTIL THEY WILL REALIZE THEIR FOLLY?
34. #22 Salma -- But Israel can arm Georgia & the Baltic States!
Scott ,   USA   (04.11.11)
Russia wouldn't like that at all! Perhaps you would like a Palestinian school bus hit by an anti-tank rocket?

BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (04.11.11)
The USA will make payment towards the IRON DOME system, which is intended for longer range rockets, Iron dome isn't intended to stop anti-tank rockets that only have a short range of 3 miles, it doesn't have enough time to detect, lock on and destroy I must say one thing for you, you are one of the most ill-informed people posting here How about going into the Fleamarket in Booths' corners, maybe the Amish have a spare cows brain, you could use it

Have you nothing substantive to contribute? In that case, shut up and go back to playing on your Nintendo. By the way -- under your scenario (i.e., without Israel's support) -- who can the United States rely on in the Middle East? Which country in the Middle East has a similar form of government and like social practices (e.g., does not stone women to death; does not cut off the hands of thieves; does not cut off the heads of criminals and does not hang homosexuals from jib cranes)? Which country in the Middle East has sufficient firepower to back the United States in the event of a local crisis in which NATO does not agree to participate? Which country in the Middle East has a 100% record of support of the United States in both the Security Council and General Assembly? Which country in the Middle East gave the United States its first look at both the MIG-21 and MIG-23 at the height of the Cold War when the United States was desperate for a chance to see these top-of-the-line Soviet fighter jets? Which country in the Middle East gave the United States its first look at the Soviet T-73 tank when it was the mainstay battlefield tank of the Soviet Union and there was nothing in the NATO arsenal that could pierce the shell of the T-73? You are a complete fool. Now sit quietly on the edge of your bed and wait for the nice orderly to come with your medication.

Frankly, I fail entirely to see how Israel benefits at all from a relationship with Russia. The truth of the matter is that their military hardware is really not all that good, but they certainly do not mind spreading it around to implacable foes of Israel -- including our nearest neighbors. Reinstating the arms deal with the Republic of Georgia would serve notice upon Russia that (i) Israel knows the game that the Russians are playing; and (ii) Israel can play the same game. If Israel stops cooperating merely with respect to drone technology, Russia will acquire it elsewhere. If Israel wishes to send its message in no uncertain terms, the best way is to put a thorn in Russia's southern flank. Russia has been too disrespectful of Israel's essential security requirements -- deals with Iran, Syria and Turkey. Why should Israel pay any attention to Russia's essential security requirements? Diplomacy is, after all, a two-way street.

There are better ways of fighting wars with Russia -- arming the Republic of Georgia being the best one. And while you may think that Russia is invincible, you need look no further than Chechnya to see just how ineffective Russian troops are -- despite fighting on Russian soil, and despite going all out against the Islamofascist rebels. I assure you that there is a vast qualitative difference between Chechnyan rebels and the State of Israel. The last thing on earth Russia wants is armed conflict with Israel.

KBP also sold 80 Kornet E (NATO designation: AT-14) laser-guided anti-tank missile systems to Turkey in a $70 million deal....
48. The Cold War
Alydia ,   USA   (04.12.11)
Did it really end?? Don't think so....Russian is still up to its dirty tricks. If I am not mistaken they are part of the Gog and Magog thing...right?
49. #40 - just passing on, the love.

They will eventually return it... ask the old ladies from the former East Germany/Prussia.

anton ,   istanbul turkey   (04.12.11)
sarah what about outcome of your suggestion you dont even care that alot of people(innocent) might die if that happened? you really either dont have any morality or thinkin whatever israel does is right and god will forgive you cause you are his chosen children :D
51. To: No. 50
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.12.11)
1. Turkey is a member of NATO. Have you any idea how many innocent civilians have died in the relentless NATO bombing of Afghanistan, Iraq and Waziristan. 2. You do not care how many innocent Israeli civilians may die because Russian arms are freely sold by Russia to Iran, Syria and Turkey and thus find their way to Hamas and Hezbollah. Why hold me to a different standard? 3. I am extremely moral. I also think that the Jewish people deserve to live in safety and security. If a country is so unconcerned as to not care about the Jewish people, I see no reason why I should care about that country's civilian population. 4. Don't you have enough on your plate in Turkey, worrying about the "morality" of what is happening to innocent Kurdish civilians? Hmm?
52. Sarah 43 - I agree completely
Stephen in New York   (04.12.11)
I agree completely that providing Russia with technology is a serious mistake. Israeli technology in Russian hands –sooner rather than later- will wind up in Iranian hands.
53. #9 - Russia burnt that bridge long ago
William ,   Israel   (04.12.11)
Russia hasn't changed it's stripes since the fall of the Soviet Union. They were arming anti-Western despotic regimes in the 1950s thru 1970s, and still do so. Nothing has changed in Russia's view of themselves as a major world player, and want to return to the days of cold-war supremacy under Putin, which starts with arming Syria and others.
54. #12 - are you saying Israel shot their own bus up?
William ,   Israel   (04.12.11)
55. #15 - except that military analysts agree with Israel
William ,   Israel   (04.12.11)
It seems "Palestinians" just can't catch a break. Everytime they lie, it's uncovered or they lose a key ally, like Saddam. Here's an equation you should internalize (just like in 1999) - stop attacking Israel, stop attempting to destroy Israel, and accept us all in coexistence. Otherwise....well, you know that already.
56. #17 - I thought the half-brain conspiracy theorists...
William ,   Israel   (04.12.11)
were all in Berkeley, New York, and Montana....apparently, MoveOn.org has spurred a whole movement of crazies.
57. #22 - I wouldn't exactly call "Palestinians" defenseless
William ,   Israel   (04.12.11)
1) they're not a country 2) you can hardly call "defenseless" a people who target a school bus with an anti-tank weapon....you call them "war criminals".
58. Israel is smarter than the enemy...
Craig ,   NY, NY USA   (04.12.11)

Excellent. Sort of what Israel did to Iran with Stuxnet.
60. VLADIMIR PUTIN
