31. Israeli Peace Plan
Observer ,   US   (04.13.11)
The fact that Netanyahu continuously talked about wanting peace but had no peace plan, means that he was never serious about reaching a peace agreement.
32. Palestinian country and the UN
Freddy ,   Yanuv Israel   (04.13.11)
Actually it would be a good thing if it is voted in September. It would mean an official decision that the Oslo Accords are not valid anymore. That means that Israel agreement to help Palestinians by letting them settle in the land that was given to the Jews to settle by UN (Society of Nations) will be back in force. The decision of the UN that Israel have to get defensible borders others than from Jordan river to the sea will be cancelled. International law will be back in force and Israel will have the whole region to settle......
33. #31, You are correct.
Michael ,   California, USA   (04.13.11)
Under Natanyahu there never was a serious Israeli peace plan. In defense of him it ought to be said that Abu Mazen did not have a peace plan either. There are worse right wingers in Israel than Natanyahu and there are much more aggressive voices heard among the Palestinians than Abu Mazen's. The two sides are hopelessly locked in a never-ending conflict and neither side shows any inclination to peace. So, the obvious conclusion is that if peace is to happen, it will have to be forced by outside powers. It will start this September, unless Natanyahus and Abu Mazen themselves find a way to to bridge the gaps that have not been bridged since 1967. One must be stupid not to understand that time is on Abu Mazen's side.
34. Damn Right # 31 : Thank You

35. What's a non-binding Palestinian State?
MG ,   LA US   (04.13.11)
Resolutions from the General Assembly are non-binding. If Palestinians act unilaterally on this, Israel should annex the settlements.
36. To #31
Standing Tall ,   USA   (04.13.11)
What exactly was the peace plan of the Fakestinians? Give us land while we continue our incitement against Israel and Jews. When the incitement and support of terrorism ceases, then they can talk about peace. The rest is just BS.

Wasn't it stupid not to have accepted partition in 1947? you now accept partition of 1967? just imagine how many thousands of deaths could have been avoided !!! in 1947 or even after 1967 no settler at all in West Bank , now 300,000 or more !!!, what a stupid decission was made in 1947

What would a state achieve for the Palestinians??
39. Obama in fact LOVES the UN plan...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (04.13.11)
The unilateral declaration of a Palestinian "state" will in fact be nothing more than a propaganda stunt...it is complete without any substance and MEANINGLESS and NOT worth of ANY price to be payed to hinder it...let the retards declare whatever they want... Let them declare the moon consisting of green cheese...LOL

Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (04.13.11)
You speak of genocide so blithely.
41. Hard for Obama: but congress will force his hand
EZ ,   US   (04.13.11)
The US is pro Israel. AIPAC will lobby like nuts and get the congressional votes needed to slap down a PA state in September. Americans know about the Palestinian circuit of terror all too well. Hmmm...let's start with that pal who murdered RFK and the terrorist pals of "black September who murdered a US envoy in the ME...not to mention destroying world unity at the '72 Olympics, murdering Jordinian PM in the '70's, murdering Hariri, trying to take over Jordan, committing no less than 30,000 violent/criminal acts in Jordan in a period of a few years, gunning down Sadat ( at least their boy toys did their dirty work there), etc., etc. No...the US will not be party to forming a pali state: the people won't allow it.

I thought Jews ruled the world. How can this be forced on them if that is so?

Micael writes: "This time around Israel is 100% responsible for the collapse of last summer's negotiations due to Netanyahu's idiotic decision to allow settlement expansion just as the talks were underway. That has not been forgotten!! " First, Israel did agree to what H. Clinton referred to as a historic settlement freeze, for peace. For 10 months. But the Arabs took this as a sign of weakness. Then began a campaign, asking for additional preconditions, just to sit down to "indirect talks". Israel refused, and Abbas delayed and wasted 9 of the 10 months, that negotiating could have been taking place.. So when Abbas finally sat down there was only ONE MONTH left, Abbas then threatened to stop talks if Israel didn't agree to extend the freeze...a form of blackmail...Israel refused, so the talks stopped. But in that one month talks did progress, Hamas stated they would NOT honor ANY agreement Abbas made, plus Hamas stated that the "Palestinian people" were not bound by any agreement made by Fatah. Then Hamas used a terrorist attack,,,a drive-by shooting...that killed four civilians (one, a pregnant women and mother of 6 kids). To add insult to injury, Hamas organized a "victory parade" the next day, Then called the murders, "heroic acts of resistance". Now how these actions can possibly be translated to "blame Israel 100%", is a form of idiocy in logic. yet this is the anti-Israel writer, and his perverted logic.
44. US will have a hard time

#10 Right ON, You are 100% right.
45. #27 Steiner
Brod ,   USA   (04.14.11)
Sounds more like the voice of an AntiSemite spewing venom on Israel. The dreamers are the Arab Islamist-Jihadist usurpers who continue to wallow in their cesspool of lies trying to claim the Land of Israel as their land. Israel must never give in to their cesspool of venom. Israel must protect and defend every inch of its GOD-GIVEN and GOD-RESTORED historic homeland of Judea and Samaria-Land of Israel from the Islamist-Jihadist thugs, terrorists, killers and usurpers.

49. #47; Lauren, WRONG
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.14.11)
In fact if you look up UN Resolution 242 and what the authors stated it meant, your wrong, completely. In fact according to the authors of 242 Israel was expected to keep some the land for security reasons. It's you you Lauren that needs to look things up!! Then you won't won't sound so ignorant. You see that's why the words "all the" were left out of the 242, as we see here: "The Soviet delegate wanted the inclusion of those words and said that their exclusion meant "that part of these territories can remain in Israeli hands." When asked to explain 242 Lord Caradon said: "It would have been wrong to demand that Israel return to its positions of June 4, 1967, because those positions were undesirable and artificial." Also the second author said this: Amb. Goldberg explained: "The notable omissions-which were not accidental-in regard to withdrawal are the words 'the' or 'all' and 'the June 5, 1967 lines'....the resolution speaks of withdrawal from occupied territories without defining the extent of withdrawal." Do your homework Lauren, instead of repeating the Arab Kool-Aid propaganda.
50. #46; Lauren, Wrong Again
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.14.11)
According to history, which I did look up HERE; "On the 29th November, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish State in Eretz-Israel; the General Assembly required the inhabitants of Eretz-Israel to take such steps as were necessary on their part for the implementation of that resolution." Then about SIX MONTHS later HERE: "On May 14, 1948, on the day in which the British Mandate over a Palestine expired, the Jewish People's Council gathered at the Tel Aviv Museum, and approved the following proclamation, declaring the establishment of the State of Israel." Tell us Lauren where do you get your information from? I'm interested, because how could ONE person be so WRONG on TWO simple points of history? I can only guess, but are your a college student? dating an Arab? If so, how does it feel to be played for a fool. Because either it's that, or your friend has been brainwashed as well. But then again maybe your name Ahmed Mohamed just pretending to be a girl.
