Justin Bieber, I wouldn't call him a "Superstar", has only played in countries where there is no strife. What would this 17 year old know about the suffering of Israeli youth, be they in the South under constant threat from Hamas, in the North where we don't know when Hezbollah will fire the next salvo of rockets at Kiriyat Shemona, Karmiel, Naharia, Akko or Haifa or when the next terror attack will occur in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv or Netanya? His PR people, especially his Jewish manager, Scooter Braun, should have briefed the kid. Israeli children have a different attitude. They don't gape at the handicapped because we have so many. They also are more "into" Israeli pop stars although they and older Israelis pack concerts given by huge stars like Paul McCartney, Elton John, Madonna, Rihanna and even "old timer" Leonard Cohen. They can be warm but even warmer when stars relate to our people who have been hurt. This is what Justin Bieber doesn't understand and wasn't briefed on. Of course, there is the possibility that he just couldn't care about dead and injured Israeli kids. After all, they are not his problem and its the money that counts!
