1. New Christian settlers . Great idea !
DT ,   TA Israel   (04.14.11)
2. I'd like to settle on White House Lawn
Peter Morris ,   New Zealand   (04.14.11)
Now there is some useful real estate not being used constructively. I'll even convert to the Neocon religion and offer unquestioned support To Israel. On top of that I'll fully contribute to the economy and if the government gives up printing money I'll donate 90% of my income to make sure the Wall Streeters are kept in the luxury they are accustomed. Any country that needs invading count me in.
3. Catch 22- Converting in America
Essie HaKohane ,   Florida, USA   (04.14.11)
Yeah that's right. Let them convert (even under Orthodox auspices) in America and the Rabbinate in Israel will still nullify the conversion.
4. Why are these people called "Christians"?
JewishDragonfly ,   Torrance, CA, USA   (04.14.11)
If these people want to practice Judaism according to the Torah, then they would be rejecting the basic tenents of Christianity, and would not be Christians. If they complete conversion, they aren't even non-Jews.
5. Let me get this straight...
Manny ,   Canada   (04.14.11)
... the West Bank is supposed to become a future Palestinian state and everyone wants to live there except Palestinians. Oy, my head.
6. Does the Law of Return apply to the West Bank?
Manny ,   Canada   (04.14.11)
The Law of return applies to those who want to settle in the State of Israel. But the West Bank is not Israel -- not yet. So why do these people worry about that law? Why don't they settle in PA territory and worry about PA laws instead?
7. "Christian Settlers"
Mark ,   USA   (04.14.11)
This article's title is very misleading. These are not Christian's, but former Christians, who because of the love of Zion, wish to convert to Judaism, and settle in the biblical land of Israel. Since when was converting illegal? Once their Orthodox Conversion is complete, they are no less Jewish than anyone born Jewish!
8. Yea Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin are considering
Donna   (04.14.11)
making alya and join the settelers too.. At this rate North Korea will look totaly sane next to Israel...
9. Thanks but we have enough nutters here already

11. Reeks of Jimmy Jones
Laurence Barrett ,   USA   (04.14.11)
When they offer you "grape or orange", tell them "gatorade please" then run.
12. Snuffing out Judaism with a smile
Arthur   (04.14.11)
Conversion? You must be kidding. Checking the web is getting to be bad for our health. I can't take any more of these news from Israel. Every morning I ask myself, what now? I'm never disappointed.
13. no one should
fad egypt   (04.14.11)
convert to judaism except those who ve strong jewish roots and ve the jewish blood because the judaism is a race and a religion israel is the national home of the jewish people who came from jacob root
14. Some Jews prefer to remain all over the place
Ypip ,   Canada   (04.14.11)
what's your point?
15. Deny this, period.
Mea   (04.14.11)
For two reasons. 1.) Israel is the land of the Jews and not the land of wannebe playacting American Christians who express their own particular brand pf elitism through absurdities such as keeping the holidays of another religion and dressing in costume as if in a play. Under Jewish law, you believe Jesus is the messiah, you are N-O-T a Jew, period, end of story. 2.) To open the Law of Return door even slightly ajar is ti open it all the and Israel needs another lawsuit like it needs another sect to deal with.
16. Kol haKavod!!
John ,   Houston USA   (04.14.11)
Let's do it!!!
17. Time to enforce the 1996 US War Crimes Act
Fed Up US Taxpayer   (04.14.11)
18. Wait, I'm confused...
yehoshua ,   new york, usa   (04.14.11)
"US Christians settle in Samaria...about 1,000 Americans have signed a document requesting to convert to Judaism..." ?? These are Christians renouncing their messiah for Israeli citizenship and the right to build a settlement over the Green Line? Too many gaps here. So many contradictions my head is spinning. Poorly written article. Explanations are welcome.
19. A thousand US Christians want to join IDF, set up communitie
LJ ,   Fort Washington, MD   (04.14.11)
Wow! What a fantastic opportunity these thousand US Christians will be a part of. If I could I too would join IDF, set up communities beyond Green Line. I too would fight for Israel-God's chosen people. God Bless Isreal and may our Lord continue to guide it's Leaders.
20. 1,000 less nutjobs in the US
JJohnson ,   Turks & Caicos   (04.14.11)
What's there not to like?
21. Crazy-crazy Americans. What will become of the USA we knew??
tom ,   tel aviv   (04.14.11)
22. Unbelievable
stunned   (04.14.11)
So some foreigners with no connection to the area go through some ritual and now they have rights to a land denied to its indigenous Palestinian population?! Maybe the Palestinians should start converting as well.. The world has gone mad.
23. Good luck to them!
Avner ,   Tel Aviv   (04.14.11)
I welcome them if they support Israel. Although I would prefer if they didn't go beyond the green-line.
24. They will be welcome as Jews
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (04.14.11)
I have many good Xtian friends whom like and respect. They are also more than welcome to visit Israel for as lond as they like. Their agenda is not to missionize, even though they may harbor such thoughts in their mind as relates to their belief. However, those who do wish to missionize 'against' Jews, should not come to Israel. This article refers to 'people' becoming Jews, therefore it is misleading to call them xtians.
25. Economic Migrants Masquerading as Religious Converts
Marcus Silverman   (04.14.11)
Israel already has more than its fair share of economic migrants and religious freaks. Says a lot about these people that they need to convert to Judaism before feeling comfortable with the theft of Palestinian land. something that's totally alien to Christian culture. I imagine they would just as soon convert to Islam if the financial incentives were lucrative enough.
26. Evangelical assault troops!
Cameron ,   USA   (04.14.11)
LOL Ah, the world gets stranger by the day, yes it do.
27. Missouri nutjobs want to steal land
Steve Benassi Silver ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.14.11)
...that does not belong to anyone but the native Palestinians.
28. Some Samaria "officials" and "rabbis"
Ariel ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim   (04.14.11)
B"H In trying to build up their carriers, some Samaria "officials" and "rabbis" are seen to be involved in inviting in more and more xtian missionaries to our Holy Land, besides supporting those already present. This is provoking a back-clash in the local, halacha (Jewish Law) observing population that, if not addressed, threatens to end in violence and bloodshed: Many residents are angry now with their "officials" and "rabbis", who are perceived as corrupt, serving the State's hasbara (propaganda) effort rather than the Torah.
29. there was amerikan coloney in joffe
ghostq   (04.14.11)
it still exist, very nice lady live there including the church, this isn't new phenomena, got no difference, but not only peacfull amerikan, much like the Amerikans also other chritians r involved with IDF service, from Italy to sweden, very heart warming someone finally take initiative and not just talk from afar, and yes the chritians got good condition there better than some areas in Europe.
30. Leave it up to them
Wissam ,   Palestine   (04.14.11)
Leave it up to them and they will gladly use every Palestinian as fire wood for their messianic fast-forward quest. These people are theological terrorists. They should be arrested for incitement and breach of international law.
