1. A Microcosm
Adam Neira ,   Melb, Australia   (04.18.11)
Gilad's fate is a microcosm for the entire State of Israel. As I stated more than four years ago. If the State does not care about Gilad, G-d will not care about the State. Prime Minister Netanyahu is correct about the need to avoid a vacuum. But Gilad's fate is interconnected with other geo-political policy decisions that the Jewish people and the State of Israel must make. His case should not be seen in isolation. Solving this puzzle is a multi-dimensional, multi-faceted task more like a rubik’s cube than a chess game. The current stalemate on the peace front must be solved. The danger when there is a lack of vision, courage and dynamism at the top is that the natives get restless. Basic annoyance with leaders is one thing. Resorting to violence and terror is another thing. G-d is a dynamic force. Good leaders should try and replicate his qualities. Prayers for Gilad.

3. Meidan's first move should be: cut off all Hamas prisoners
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (04.18.11)
I've been saying this for more than a year: Meidan should immediately demand that Bibi take the initiative and immediately impose the exact same conditions on all Hamas and Jihad prisoners that Gilad Shalti gets: -24/7 solitary confinement -total isolation -total communication cut off -immediate end to all stupid prisoner benefits to Hamas and Jihad prisoners - no education, no group prayer, no calls, no lawyers, no letters, no light of day, no nothing. If any "human rights" supports or organizations complain, then Meidan simple says that Israel is imposing the exact same conditions that the human rights groups are accepting from Hamas. This is not "collective punishment". This is not "inhumane treatment", since the international community approves of the Hamas behavior and has taken no steps to demand any change from Hamas. Thus, the families of these prisoners can kiss their prisoners goodbye virtually. Today should be the absolute last day they hear or know of anything about these prisoners until the Red Cross is allowed access to Shalit - as demanded by international law.

Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (04.18.11)
Bibi could break the back of ham-ass and force them to send him back but he is not man enough to do what it takes.

What would be your decision if your son Yair was in the same situation as Gilad Shalit ?
