1. SUCH REMARKABLE TOLERANCE
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.24.11)
As we all know Islam throughout the world...we are told by what is referred to as "moderates" of Islam...is a religion of peace, and tolerance. The proof is all around us. After all, setting fire to Joseph's tomb, blowing up an 800 year old statue of Buddha, worldwide riots over cartoons, the current destruction of Jewish archeological treasures buried under Temple Mount, the desecration or destruction of synagogues and Jewish cemeteries in East Jerusalem after the 1948 war, the use of Jewish tombstones as floor tiles in public restrooms under the public urinals for that added effect of such remarkable tolerance, these are all acts of a tolerant and peace loving people, right? People like this would make simply marvelous neighbors. I'm sure most people would love to have people like this, living next door, and all around them. Then when your children went out to play on the cul-de-sac, you wouldn't have worry about their safety?
2. Another victim.....
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (04.24.11)
Another jewis life lost. Is there anybody to take care of this situation?
3. taking responsibility
Mordechai Taub ,   Jerusalem   (04.24.11)
The attempt to somehow diminsh the responsibility of the murderers as well as those who are supposed to provide security for Israeli citizens is highly offensive. Breslov Chasidim travel to Joseph's Tomb almost every night on open roads without coordinating their visits.
4. The Religion of Peace
Rachel ,   US   (04.24.11)
5. No sympathy for zealotry, pride & lack of respect for IDF
Israeli ,   Efrat   (04.24.11)
Why wasn't his visit co-ordinated with the IDF? Because he knew better! This death is sad but at the end of the day like the plane crash of Asaf Ramon (Ilan Ramon's son) it is the result of Human Error and miscalculation.
6. Will this affect actual gov't. policy?
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (04.24.11)
No. Incident after incident, murder after murder, all we get are empty words & the continuation of failed policies.
7. to all
Omar ,   Nablus   (04.24.11)
to all of you, what you talking about is rubbish. What was the harm of making a permit in advance? i live in nablus and settlers enter on daily basis with ur IDF. Why didn't they co=ordinate their enterance in advance??? you always look for trouble and excuses to show that palestinians are terrorists!!!!! Imagine this incident in vice-versa, a punch of Palestinians trying to enter jerusalem in the middle of the night to pray without getting the proper permissions???????? they will be massacred and the israeli public will clap for doing such a job. On the other hand, we are launching a proper investigation and to co-operate with your superiors. Bad endings happen for those who do not use their brains properly before putting their lifes and others at risk.. Taking life for granted, thinking that there is no one above them, no law, no rules, no procedure, no nothing. Sadly, every settler's mentality in the west bank goes by those behaviours mentioned above.
8. Omar no 7
LION OF ZION   (04.24.11)
You are an expert on twisting things. Even if you try to twist things,it will not help you or your Islam.
9. He broke the law and paid the price....
No ,   sympathy   (04.24.11)
10. Tolerance all too often is weakness(end)

11. Keeping things in perspective.
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor, UK   (04.24.11)
It is always sad to see a young life wasted, be it Palestinian or Jewish Israeli. But keep things in perspective. These people came in the middle of the night without prior authorisation or coordination. It has happened numerous times before that Jewish israelis were arrested in the PA for doing unauthorised things and they were always subsequently handed over to the Israeli army. Haaretz reports that on this occasion the three cars refused to stop and tried to break through the Palestinian roadblock. I can't blame the PA officer for finding this "acting suspicious". How would the Israeli army have acted if some cars with Palestinians broke through an army roadblock? The tragid fact is that if these people would have stopped, they would have been arrested and handed over to the Israeli army.
12. rubbish???
JH ,   Jerusalem   (04.24.11)
IF it is true that they didn't have the proper permits then arrest or cite them. The DIFFERENCE between us is clear. Palestinians care little for life whereas Jews value it. If Palestinians entered without their proper papers they aren't shot and killed, they are ARRESTED!!!!! They have no ability to live side by side with us. How many Arabs do you see shopping in Israeli malls and stores? You would never see a Jew shopping in Rammala-- they would be lynched!!
13. he broke the law and paid the price?
amos ,   jerusalem, israel   (04.24.11)
He broke the law - so, no trial - just kill him! yeah, that's the regime they want to put in place in September. They break the law at Al Aksa mosque all the time - and nobody gets shot.
14. #9: The price for whatever law he broke is death?
adam eliyahu   (04.24.11)
Unless you mean he had the audacity to be a Jew and actually want to pray. That I can understand. Jews have always been killed for that.
15. to #12
observer   (04.24.11)
listen, get your facts right before taliing rubbish again. the reason that they were shot for was their refusal of stopping their cars. Its wasn't for entering nablus, it was for their irrogance...... They refused to stop, shots were fired in the air at first but despite that, they still refused. get ur data right......
16. #5 choose your sympathy carefully
Ilan ,   Ariel   (04.24.11)
You'd rather rationalize the murder by the PA then sympathize with their victims. And before a proper investigation either it should be added. Even if like Ilan Ramon's son it was a matter of human error isn't is still better to show more sympathy with your countrymen rather than with a gang of murderous thugs?
17. Reply to Omar from Nablus
Jackie ,   Florida   (04.24.11)
The name of your place of residence is Shechem. It was renamed Neopolis (meaning New City) by the Romans. The fact that you cannot pronounce the letter P would make it easier to use the proper name. I suggest, if you feel that way about a Jew coming to worship in a Holy place, maybe Israel should require Arabs to get permits before coming to pray at your mosques on OUR Temple Mount, and be killed if they come without permits. Is that okay?
18. maybe he was innocent
sas ,   israel   (04.24.11)
BUT HE ENTERED the area without permisssion.
19. Until the Jews are,
RLK ,   USA   (04.24.11)
really, really, ready to not only protect themselves, not just make words like your current DMinster does, these things will continue. Man Up and take over these holy sites yourselves. Get it done and over with. Do you think things will get better if the status quo is kept? Come on, who are you kidding. Your people are being slowly but surely decimated by your peaceloving neighbors and those who live amongst you. They are the 5th column amongst you and you seem to like them being there. Until you arise and show some love for yourselves, who do you think will be prepared to show the will to support you? NO-ONE! As Golda stated, "Until they begin to love their own children more than they love to kill." Well, until you show a desire to protect your own, why should we be so concerned with you? Show some gumption. Stand Up for yourself. And, get rid of your defence minister. He seems more concerned with the Pals than his own people. Bibi seems not far behind!!!

Omar ,   Nablus   (04.24.11)
Knowing the modified jewish history does not interest me. You guys are good of changing the subjects. Now, as for the P spelling, excuse my english. The fact the you dont live here does not entitle you for any kind of judgements. We do need very special permissions to enter Jerusalem to pray and they are turned down most of the times. Massacres did occur in the past by settlers against innocent Palestinians praying at mosques. few years back, a settler entered a mosque in Hebron and killed more than 30 prayers at the mosque in cold blood. That incident does not compare to this one, he killed them inside the mosque. Therefore, get your facts right and try to know your people more.
21. #16 ur twisting #5's words 2 suit u.
(04.24.11)
Didn't think you were that stupid!
22. # 20
Birdi ,   Israel   (04.24.11)
Oh but you are so wrong. Jackie in Florida has every right to voice his or her opinion & judgemment, especially if Jackie in Florida is Jewish. You see Omar, Israel is the homeland for every single Jew on this earth. Accept that or not. I dont care. Your people like my people need permission to prayat the Holy sites, thats sad isnt it? Face it Omar, you are not interested in our history & as for your history, you hardly have any since the Palestinians became a "people" in 1967 or was it 1968??
23. Bad behavior - boot their butts out - reclaim it as Jewish!
Scott ,   Haifa   (04.24.11)
24. to #15
JH ,   Jerusalem   (04.25.11)
YOU get your facts straight. The witnesses there stated there was a lynch mob screaming alu akba.In addition the arabs began to burn tires and desecrate our holy site. Would you stop????? We should just reclaim the area anyway.
25. Why didn't they?
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.25.11)
A military source told Ynet that the shooting was **not** an act of terror, adding the incident COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED, had the group simply coordinated their arrival to the area in advance.
26. A Policeman Disguised As A Policeman
Raanan ,   Brooklyn   (04.28.11)
