Sound familiar? Gallup should run a poll on the people's most psychologically abused by their elites. I'm sad to say Israel will also probably score around 7th in the world.

That's because the OECD's methodology can be taken seriously unlike Gallup's, which is a for profit organization. Pollster's like Gallup frequently release nonsense like this to boost their profile and get more contracts from governments and corporations. Their methodology has frequently come under scrutiny for being less than flawless but then again try to persuade someone that there isn't really a taste difference between Coca-Cola and Pepsi. There isn't a physical difference; just in your head there is. Same thing for Gallup polls.

This article is the usual excuse for Israelis to wallow in the self-pity for which they are so famous. Sickening.

Ottawa is like a dormitory! It;s a pretty place but after 10PM the city is dead! If you have not seen Montreal, Quebec City or Vancouver as far as cities are concerned, you have not seen Canada. On your next trip try to make some time. Montreal is only 2 hours from Ottawa. You will see what I mean. But make sure it's spring, summer or fall. I don't think you'd like much the winter here. (:-

I am always very happy visiting Israel. It's a wonderfully unique country. But it's true that according to all bagel experts (including New Yorkers), our bagels are the best in the world.

With all the hardships, be it economical or security, we have a broad sense of personal freedom here that you don't have in other places. Here in Israel, you will find all kinds of people doing all kinds of things, wearing all kinds of styles of clothing, living weird lifestyles, and we/they all are just accepted and 'allowed' to live their lives as they so choose. If you don't live here in Israel or are very familiar with our society, you cannot understand that this is truly how we live here. As for stealing land?? Try to learn some history dear people. Nothing was stolen! We Jews here only want to live in peace with our neighbors, not change them in any way. We allow them their own autonomous lives as we allow ourselves....all stemming in the uncanny personal freedom that I speak about.

Maybe you Italians still love stealing land as your cultures seems to thrive on theft but Israel is merely located on Jewish land that was surprisingly mostly vacant and a wasteland in the 1800's. Why didn't Italy score higher? Too many Arabs in the country probably.

Even during WWII, there were stories of Jews, in the ghettos or concentration camps, finding something to focus on, to be happy or grateful about. In places like West Bank and Gaza, you're taught to be so unhappy until you have 100% of everything you demand - namely the destruction of Israel. No one ever gets 100% of what they want, hence, a perpetually unhappy, unsatisfied population.

Israel has a top economy and terror attacks although sad are like pricking an elephant with a pin. Israel just keeps getting stronger and richer and Palestinians could enjoy the growth if their leaders simply accepted reality instead of leading lives of hatred and illusion.
