There you go again Observer, trying so hard to twist the story & display your idiot ideas. We see through your transparent rot.
32. Joseph a muslim scholar and iman.
Harald ,   Alphen a/d Rijn   (04.25.11)
Yeah, right. And Mohammed was an agent of the Mossad....
33. There should be no limits on jewish worship in Israel
bernard ross ,   st anns bay jamaica   (04.25.11)
The Israeli govt allows Muslims more religious freedom than Jews in, of all places,Israel. SCANDALOUS! The acceptance of the notion that Jewish worship destabilizes relations with muslims is an acceptance of Auschwitz. Apparently the settlers are the only ones standing up for Jewish rights to worship in Israel.
34. #20 "not provoking the Palestinians"
bernard ross ,   st anns bay jamaica   (04.25.11)
I think this is where it all went wrong, with the cowering jew mentality worrying that jewish worship will provoke the muslims. Yes it will and will will provoke them as long as the jews exist. the limiting of jewish worship in the land of israel for such reasons is disgusting. The existence of jews provoked the nazis and now also the muslims, this is not a reason to limit jews. the muslims have no respect or tolerance for the beliefs of others and the sensibilities of such people deserve no consideration. Why should the jews, dispossessed of Israel ,kowtow to the descendants who received the benefits of the jews dispossession and do not acknowledge that truth..

I think you mistake acting intelligently and wisely for "cowering". I have never cowered in my life, but I do not subscribe to rubbing people's noses in the dirt just to make a point and get a reaction. FYI, it doesn't matter how you look at it, Nablus is in the West Bank, has not been annexed by Israel and by international law is not a part of Israel. Furthermore, they are not limited from worshiping there, but are asked to coordinate their visits with the military authorities, thereby ensuring their safety while also showing CONSIDERATION for the people who live there ( and I do not need to ask for reciprocity on this, I have my own conscience). The Breslav Hassidim show absolutely no consideration for the Nablus inhabitiants' sensitivities and are intent on provoking them, only this time it backfired. Your view is twisted, extreme and provocative, but I see you live in Jamaica, far away from Israel, so I suppose you don't mind if I or my children have to risk their lives cleaning up the mess after these provocations cause widespread, needless violence, while you sit under a palm tree, sipping you pina colada preaching morality.
36. freedom to worship
charlie ,   Minneapolis   (04.25.11)
The #1 absurdity is that Jews are not really free to worship... not even in our own land. The presence of Jews (unarmed, at prayer) is NOT a provocation. This is akin to blaming a rape victim for having worn a skirt. Obviously the IDF needs to provide greater security for Jewish worshipers to visit holy sites. Ultimate blame lies with Palestinian intolerance and failures of Israel to protect all of her people.

jason white ,   afula, israel   (04.25.11)
the Jewish state is not mentioned once in your koran! It is mentioned hundreds of times in our Jewish Bible. You stole religious sites from Jews, christians, hindus and buddists. You stole lands from others as well as parts of Judaism and christianity religions. You are the biggest thieves in history! There was no palestine, there is no palestine and there will never be a palestine. The Israeli government that allows illegal arab settlers to take over a part of our Jewish only holy land will fall. We will replace it with one that will remove all arabs from our liberated territories forever. You might have the whole anti Jewish world behind you, but we have G-d with us.
40. #17; Birdie, Thanks, for the update
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.25.11)
It seemed every time on clicked onto the story more updates were popping up. So I didn't really understand what happened (what the chronological order of events were, and how they unfolded, and I still don't fully understand). When I read the Arab police version, I just dismissed it. Because as most know they simply lie all the time. So Arabs have created an atmosphere of the "the boy who cries wolf" and nobody...but the anti-Israel writers, and the virulent antisemitic people believe their lies anymore...and frankly that's the Arab's fault. So I understand, your saying, after the car had come to a complete stop at the Arab police check point, that's when the Arab police opened fire on the car? That nobody in the car at that time (when the car was at a complete stop) was attacking the Arab police in any way, right? No rocks were being thrown, and nobody in the car was shooting at the Arab police. Ironically, isn't it the Arabs, who always say throwing rocks is no big deal, and shouldn't be shot at, even with rubber bullets? So even the claim...which may be false...of throwing rocks shouldn't have been enough of a reason, to fired upon the car, according to their own logic.
41. Interpretation of another's religion
Chris ,   Dallas, USA   (04.25.11)
I've no way of knowing what's in these folks' minds when they go to the traditional tomb of Joseph. Ancestor worship? When Muslims go on a rampage when Mohammed is drawn in a cartoon is that "Prophet Worship"? One could draw such a conclusion. To the outsider it looks like paganism. Oh, well. I'll leave interpretations of prayer to the scholars. Bottom line is that these moves into places of holiness in that part of the world should be coordinated with the authorities. Or so it seems from the area ruled by Washington, which looks more and more like a doddering old lady watching a massive building burn to the ground. Such is the duopoly's relation to the modern middle east.
42. Quit Whinging
Daniel ,   Canada   (04.25.11)
The IDF shoots and kills unarmed teenagers who "suspiciously" approach the illegal fence. They also shell families who go to the beach in Gaza. The moral outrage is pathetic and hypocritical. It's rather indicative of the racist culture the Israelis have built for themselves.
43. #35 Paul
Joel ,   WE ARE ALL SDEROT   (04.25.11)
Perfect. That guy is a putz who likes to ignite and play with fire and the enjoys watching others get burned. A real sicko who obviously, never once even, experienced live fire . A real HOMBRE not. Rock on Paul stay cool and out of harms way if you can see to it, as you have obviously learned the meaning and truth of the horror. Shalom, Joel

Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Torah of Moses even once, while there are thousands of Muslim stories about Jerusalem. Jerusalem was the capital of Jews for 100 years (2nd – 1st century BC), and it was the capital of Christian Kingdom for 100 years, and a capital of a Muslim and Christian province for 1900 years, while it was the holy place of pilgrimage for all its history. Hadith contains details of prayers, rules, advices, and mandates that may not be detailed in full in quraan. Hadith mentioned Beit al-Maqdis and Al-Aqsa so many. Mohammad went to Levant in commercial caravans and had been in Al-Aqsa Mosque at least once. When the pagans of Makka tried to prove that he did not make it in the Night journey, they asked him to describe Al-Aqsa Mosque; The Mosque was already there, NOT 200 or 300 years later. Mohammad described the full and fine details of the Mosque. Hadith is integral part of Islamic "bible".
45. # 40 @ Mark in G.

In reply to the 3rd paragraph of your talkback, yes, from what I understand, that is what happened. I await to read the results of the investigation; hopefully the truth will surface.

Whoa, thats an outright lie. It has been proved that the IDF did not fire at that family on the Gaza beach. Dont you dare change the truth.

The IDF did not fire at the family......on the beach. What's so hard to understand?
49. #42; Daniel, You need to get better...
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.25.11)
Informed, and stop reading the Arab propaganda sites. First if you talking about people who are constantly approaching the fence...we hear and read it's to collect gravel...and I have a bridge for sale, if your interested. I'm sure it's NOT to plant IED's to blow up the IDF patrols. The Gaza beacH story was DISCREDITED as a fake (Pallywood) story long ago. Just go to the top of your page and type in "seconddraft.org". Go to the "home page" of that site, at the top you'll see "Our Movies" Click it. It will bring up a list of movies (about 3 or 4) Click onto "Gaza Beach Tragedy". That will take you to the movie, WATCH IT!! Sorry Daniel but 90% of what you have heard about, read about, or watched on TV was Pallywood. Meaning it was staged or faked. Typically, the Arabs themselves have work accidents, kill their own people, then attempt blame Israel. WELL THIS TIME THEY WERE CAUGHT, RED HANDED. Daniel writes: "The moral outrage is pathetic and hypocritical. It's rather indicative of the racist culture the Israelis have built for themselves." Just replace the word "Israeli's" with "Palestinians". then your statement above, is correct. I'll expect your apology to the Israeli's in your next post. Man-Up Daniel, and apologize. CASE CLOSED.

Daniel ,   Canada   (04.26.11)
Apology? LOL. I get it IDF shoots unarmed teenagers near the fence so they must be planting IEDs while settlers go to Nablus without authorization and there's no way they are doing anything nefarious and illegal like say those wacko's who use terms like "Price Tag" and destroy peoples Olives because they weren't born into the right tribe. If you don't want people to approach the fence you built on their land, then build the fence on your own land. The simple fact of the matter is that Israelis judge the tragedy of someones death based on who died and who did the killing. Every death at the hands of the IDF is justified and every death at the hands of the PA is murder. The Palestinians are no better that is for sure but don't pretend that Israel has any moral high ground that is nothing but Zionist propaganda.
51. #50
solomon ,   bklyn   (04.26.11)
Why go near the fence, if not planting bombs? Any unarmed teenagers are being used as human shields, as most of the people shot near the fence WERE planting bombs. The IDF discovers bombs near the fence, not piles of gravel. Oh, by the way, there was never any such country as Palestine until it was part of the Mandate. And Palestinians were the Jews. The fence is not in "Palestine". And it is there to thwart suicide bombers, terrorists, bombs, etc. that the arabs send to Israel even after the Israelis withdrew from Gaza. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. They get what they deserve.
52. #51
Daniel ,   Canada   (04.26.11)
"They get what they deserve"? Nice, but the fact is that collective punishment based on ethnic origin is bigotry and race based hatred. I would have thought that the holocaust would have made that point abundantly clear but apparently to some people only the collective punishment of certain groups of people because of their heritage is bigotry for other groups it's a national policy. If you listen to the Israeli propaganda they are the only democracy in the region and yet the oppressed Arab populations are to pay for the past actions of their despotic leaders. That makes no sense. I guess when you believe that the magical sky fairy is on your side you can justify any crimes against humanity. You people deserve one another and both sides reap what they sow. But please stop the whinging about it when you are subject to the same bigotry and violence that you espouse because the perpetual victim charade is getting old.

solomon ,   bklyn   (04.26.11)
This is even above your usual self-inflicted blindness. Congratulations. Jerusalem is not only 'mentioned', it is talked about, told about, sung to, in the Torah. The Jews have been there for thousands of years. King David conquered Jerusalem in 1000 BCE [not from 'Palestinians']. Babylonia destroyed the Temple in 586 BCE [already 314 years more than your fictional "100"]. Jews continued to live there, although most were exiled. They prayed for Jerusalem and were allowed to return in 516 BCE. Romans captured it in 63 BCE [another 453 years...and not a sign of Islam or "Palestinians"]. Herod builds the second Temple [not any mosque]. The Crusaders held Jerusalem from 1099 CE - 1187 CE, 88 years. The Arabs held it during: 638 CE - 1099 CE, 1187 CE - 1516 CE = 790 yrs. Mohammed was born in 570 CE. The earliest the Al-Aqsa Mosue is thought to have been constructed is by Umar, who entered Jerusalem in 638 CE. Both are late comers. We know you can write. I am beginning to doubt, however, if you can read, especially if it information you find 'inconvenient'.

Wrong again. The "collective punishment" you speak of is a direct result of Hamas shooting rockets indiscriminately into Israel, sending terrorists, etc. This is after Israel withdrew from Gaza, remember? And this "collective punishment" includes allowing in food, fuel, supplies, etc, to the point that Doctors Without Borders were surprised that conditions were nowhere near as bad as they were told. This "collective punishment" also includes treating arabs in Israeli hospitals as well as setting up a Hospital Tent at one of the entry points to Gaza; a Hospital Tent to which Hamas forbade the arabs to go. If you want an example of "bigotry based on ethnic origin" then look at the words and deeds of the arabs.
