It did not cross your feeble mind to wait until the investigation of this tragedy is completed? Naive of you to put the cart before the horse! Btw, Palestinian shot at checkpoints have been known to knife soldiers,to try to smuggle in weapons & bombs & suicide belts. I can imagine you as a soldier at a checkpoint allowing terrorists to enter Israel with a huge welcome smile on your face. Life is cheap, is'nt it Me !!

1. Philistinians were people from the Coast from Sidon to Gaza. Avimelech was part of the Cananites. 2. Cananites with the ten tribes and part of the Philisteans desappear with the invasion and destruction of the KIndom of Israel.(Philistians were defeated and banished already in KIngs David and King Salomo's Time) 3. The actual so wronged called Palestinians are people from Arabia (first Arab invasion in the 7seventh century. THe people they found here were Bizantinians, former Jews converted and Jews. Most of these people were forzed to convert to Islam. 4. Jews never abandoned completaly Eretz Israel there was allways a Jewish presence. 5. Many documents are written from people who came in the earlies 1800 that the land was practically empty with some exeptions in Yaffa, Accho,Hebron,Jerusalem etc 6. Importance jewish presence was in Tzfat, Tiberias,Jeruslem,Hebron Gaza etc 7. With fist settlers who started building cities like Petach Tikva,Rishon,Zicron Yaacov etc Also planting Vineyards, local ARABS (not Palestinians, the term is used later) and Arabs from Places like Syrya,Egypt irak etc started poring in the country seeking work. (these ARabs is what constituted the mayority of the Later called Palestinians.) 8. Palestine is the name giving by the Romans to the provize of JUdea and Galilee as punishment for the rebelions the Jews comited against the Romans for more than 200 years. As for Avimelech he became good after he allmost commited a sin against Isaac and was afraid to be punished by God, son because of this he became "friends" with Isaac (it was not for free) He wanted Isaac's wife)
66. The Irony is Palpable
Frankly ,   Sherman Oaks, CA   (04.25.11)
What makes this event so tragic is the silliness that lead to it. I understand that the tomb is special in some way, but if you're going to a place that puts your life in Jeopardy, then isn't it incumbent on you to stay the hell away? Especially when you probably have 8 kids to support?!
67. This is not a local initiative, but the policy of the barbar
(04.25.11)
Firstly, let's not forget that Abu-Mazen has participated in the murder of the 11 Israeli sportsmen in the 1972 Olympics. And furthermore, he is a Holocaust denier. In other words, once a terrorist, always a terrorist. As September gets closer, the terrorist leadership of the PA get scared from the time they will have to deal with real problems, rather than murder and beggary. As such, they try to stop the process they have initiated, hoping that Israel will be dragged again into a violent confrontation with their terrorist authority.
68. The Idiocy is even more Palpable
copyleft ,   India   (04.25.11)
What isn't ironical is the deafening silence of the idiot leftards and the Pali-lovers when it comes to condemning obvious acts of Palestinian terrorism.Had the victims been Palestinians who were going back from Al-Aqsa then the entire bunch of the libtards and their dead aunts would have been crying for Israel to be hung without trial. The Israeli idiot left will keep feeding the Pali terrorists with the blood of innocents in their idiotic hope of buying peace and the Pali-loving anti-semites will keep on applauding them on their commitment to peace.
69. Mishmeret Yesha settlers
observer ,   Egypt   (04.25.11)
Were Joseph and King Solomon blacks? Or is that a Flasha Jews PR? Certainly all sons of the Patriarchs were Jewish, but does that mean they acted fervently?: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/14/world/middleeast/14settlers.html?pagewanted=1
70. So if you are stupid and get killed the murderer is innocent
chaver Israel   (04.25.11)
What a weird argument. It really is not the question if someone acts in a rather stupid way. That does not give another one the right to kill. What are you talking? The core of the problem is the absence of even the smallest bit of compliance to human rights of the Arab Authorities. If your argument was right, than entering a train without a ticket (which is the official permit to be in a train) is an invitation for any official to shoot you. It doesn't get any worse I guess. What a confusion of right and wrong.

james ,   York, USA   (04.25.11)
Oh boy, another moron, from that little island in the middle of the pacific that never did anything that was important. Australia is hardly the center of the political universe, lol. Nobody ever calls on you for serious dialogue on important matters. The last time I remember you making the news, your government was attempting to save some fish or whale from Japan, lol. Anti-semitism went out of vogue after the US pulled everyone's bacon out of the fire in WWII. Why use the word moron? Because of the lack of education in that remark. But then again, I can name first tier universities of the highest rank in the US and Europe, but I can think of none in...

Greg ,   Michigan   (04.25.11)
You throw rocks at the police, you're probably going to get hurt. The police have a right to defend themselves and keep the peace.
79. Joseph's tomb location debated
observer ,   Egypt   (04.25.11)
it is debatable as to whether any the reports by Jewish travelers refer to the currently recognized location. Why shouldn't Joseph been laid to rest beside the patriarchs in Hebron? Why should Jacob buy a grave for his son? Jacob was not richer than his son Minister of Pharaoh of Egypt. Because of lack of money, Jacob "digged" (Genesis 50:5) further in, to make a third chamber for Leah and himself. Sheikh Yussuf (Joseph) Dawiqat (one of the Islamic cleric Walis), was buried there two centuries ago.
80. Joseph's tomb location NOT debated
observer ,   Egypt   (04.25.11)
The Tombs of the Patriarchs consists of a great rectangular enclosure with two square minarets. Its four corners are oriented to the four points of the compass. On the northeast exterior is the al-Jawiliyya Mosque (added 1320) and on the northeast exterior is the Tomb of Joseph (added 900s).

Joel ,   WE ARE ALL SDEROT   (04.25.11)
Yes, yes mosque was built on top of ancient Hebrew sites as is the disgusting triumphalist dismantling of the history and culture of "others" in this case, the Jews, Stay on your side of the canal home boy, there, you will be rewarded or punished by the "brothers" for talking back on Zionist media. One never knows eh? LOL
82. #81 Sderot Built on Ethnically Cleansed and Defaced Najd
observer ,   Egypt   (04.25.11)
Najd's Palestinian villagers, approximately 620 in 1945, were expelled on 13 May 1948, before Israel was declared a state and before any Arab armies entered Palestine. According to UN Resolution 194 and also the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 13, Section 2, the villagers of Najd have a right to return home to their personal property and to their native village.

Note the link you provided is dated September, 13. 2009 from the New York Times. Since then IDF have taken weapons from Jews in Judea & Samaria. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4013641,00.html

solomon ,   bklyn   (04.26.11)
Although I very much disagree with Robert, Brisbane, I will not denigrate Australia. (Robert has enough of which there is to denigrate.) They are great friends of the West, assist in world wide emergencies, etc, and are often ignored. Most Australians are proud of their country and for good reason. (Although the present government is not as supportive of Israel as in the past !)

thor ,   houston, TX, USA   (04.26.11)
You have made a ridiculous comparison. There is no statement these men were armed or doing anything other than praying. You may be right, but hold back on your heavy handed comments until you have all the facts.
86. #82 Myopic Observer
solomon ,   bklyn   (04.26.11)
The villagers left at the demand of the arab armies, poised to 'drive the Jews into the sea'. Also; 194 states the refugees "should be permitted" to return to their homes at the "earliest practicable date" and this recommendation applies only to those "wishing to... live at peace with their neighbors". Israel offered to repatriate 100,000 refugees but the offer was refused. Interesting, how you twist facts.
87. #86 not only the WB is disputed, but also Sderot

88. Observer, eyes wide shut
solomon ,   bklyn   (04.27.11)
Yes, as "disputed" as the Western Wall when it is claimed by those [the arabs, aka PA] having no connection to it [Western Wall/ Kotel] whatsoever, that it has no connection to Judaism and is simply a supporting wall for the plaza above. This is much the same fantasy as another recent TB of yours claiming that Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Torah. You have a good imagination when your eyes are closed. Which is all the time.
