bernard ross ,   st anns bay jamaica   (05.01.11)
2. Livni's got hot air
MalkaKB ,   Australia   (05.01.11)
Lady, put your money where your mouth is. You want to be in his place, period.
3. livni is full of hot air
yoni ,   tel aviv   (05.01.11)
she can bark as loud as she wants and try to find things wrong with Bibi but in the end of the day she has nothing. Hamas is Hamas terrorists, trying to destroy Israel and Fatah is the same. Finally they show their true colors by teaming up with Hamas in the open. Livni is upset at Bibi? for what ? he should state clearly as he is that we will have no future with Hamas. There is no imaginary solution in dealing with Hamas. Livni keep dreaming
4. Thank goodness this woman is not in power
(05.01.11)
she would surrender Israel in 5 minutes.
5. Livni the opportunist...gives no alternatives
Jay3 ,   Israel   (05.01.11)
Notice that she slanders Bibi, while giving no alternative solutions. She is worse than Bibi! The queen of appeasement.
6. the world is against us, and so is Livni
Lehi ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (05.01.11)
that is obvious, more now than ever, I absolutely hate Livni, Kadima and any traitor who votes for these scum, and Likud is not much better.
7. "there is no common denominator between Netanyahu and me"
Mark ,   Israel   (05.01.11)
Very telling phrase. Not policy, not party line - "me". Spoken as a true egocentric. Good tyrant material? Thank god she has no balls (figuratively speaking). Interesting that this "me" was very tolerant of thieving failure like Olmert.
8. Icebergs
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (05.01.11)
Great icebergs metaphor! Livni is actually 100% correct in her analysis, but I'm not sure how it can translate into positive action.
9. Time for Bibi to step down and before its too late
Danny ,   Israel   (05.01.11)
10. Only person melting icebergs is Livni with her hot air!
Klaus ,   North Pole   (05.01.11)
11. when the going gets tough, our government always wishes to..
Lehi ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (05.01.11)
have Kadima join them and form a unity government, how does adding more worthless asses solve anything? It does not, it makes a weak and useless government, weaker and more useless, the only party anyone should vote for in this country is the one that will promise to change the electorial process, and than we can hold tnhese idiots accountable, they are all criminally neglegent, and how Barak is still DM is just unimaginable, and Likud is just as bad as Kadima, this country is in big damn trouble. Everyone should prepare to fight and defend ourselves, and since the IDF is either unable or just simply not interested in defending it's citizens it's time for militias such as Lehi to reamerge. There is no other way.
12. There will be no Palestine without Israel's consent., Tzipi.
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (05.01.11)
Stop being such a mealy-mouthed negative twit. But I thank you for being the "opposition leader" and not the Foreign Minister.
13. Tzipi won most seats but democracy was hijacked ...
Lisa ,   Tel Aviv   (05.01.11)
14. Livni isn't worth a comment.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (05.01.11)
15. netanyahu isolating israel
buzzword ,   canada   (05.01.11)
Actually, not only Livni but the whole Israeli leadership is just hot air. You don't really want to have peace or recognise the Palestinians. You are all all under the false impression that the world will never tire of sympathising with you. You are wrong and you should learn from what is happenning all around you.
16. #15 What peace?
Sandra ,   NYC   (05.01.11)
Obama floated a possible peace initiative a couple of weeks ago to see how the various parties might react to it. Fatah and Hamas rejected it outright because Obama's plan would prevent 4 or 5 million Palestinians from moving into Israel as part of the deal. They flatly said no to Obama's possible plan. He hasn't said a word about it since then. What peace do you think is possible if 4 or 5 million Palestinians must move into Israel or else there won't be a deal?
17. This is the problem
Israeli 2   (05.01.11)
when she said: "Israel has to present a policy that the world will believe in." The world? Believe?
18. #13
Lehi ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (05.01.11)
you have no concept of how our government works, or what happened in the last election, educate yourself then speak, Kadima had the most votes of any party, but Livni could not find enough partners to form a government, because the right wing block had the overwhelming majority. Next time around Kadima and all parties to the left of them will hardly even exist at all. Dummy.
19. #13
su   (05.01.11)
You need a lesson in parliamentary democracy. Tzipi couldn't get a majority therefore she couldn't form a government, therefore she is not prime minister. The head of the largest bloc, not party forms the government
20. Kadima's Charlady speaks.
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (05.01.11)
And speaks, and speaks, and, speakzzzzzzzz! Huh? Wha? Huh? Is she gone yet?
21. dumb and dumber
mohson   (05.01.11)
what on earth did sharon see in livni, an olmert delusional who somehow thinks that tony blair, ashton, bn ki moon and lavrov would secure israel. They would not. Israel is on its own. This moron runs around, saying make and offer and get the world to side with us so there is less pressure because I can't take it anymore. Olmert , livni, barak, beilin, plocker, the naivete is huge. Hamas leadership has to be destroyed period. Find a pretext.the whole fatah gang should be shipped the hell back to tunis.
22. If Primadona Livni cared about Israel instead of herself....
Mike ,   oxford   (05.01.11)
If Primadona Livni cared a bit more about Israel and a little less about her own ego.... she would offer to join a unity government with Netanyahu instead of constantly siding with Israel's political enemies
23. Livni will never be the PM.
Sandra ,   NYC   (05.01.11)
She couldn't get a single party other than the Kadima party to recommend that Kadima form a government in 2009. Her idea of coalition building is to tell the other parties that she'll be their boss and she'll do whatever she wants. She'd only be willing to form a unity government with Netanyahu if she gets to be the boss with her policies ruling over everyone elses. Livni does not play well with others.
24. Livni is wrong
Brod ,   USA   (05.01.11)
If Livni thinks that appeasement to the dark forces-the world of AntiSemites and Islamist-Jihadists will insure Israel's good standing in the world, she is totally wrong. The fact is, there is no such thing as beauty contest in the act of maintaining one's sovereignty. The road of appeasement is actually a recipe for facilitating the Charter of Hamas/Fatah that calls for the destruction of Israel. The dark forces will continue to harass and attack Israel because their goal is to usurp or subjugate Israel under their control and domination. Netanyahu's government is right in insuring that the dark forces do not prevail against Israel. Livni should stop harping the isolation crap of the dark forces.
25. Tzipi go back to working for Mossad ...
Lee ,   Manchester UK   (05.01.11)
you excelled in that job - you are a politician. If you are you would know the WORLD is trying to isolate Israel like it has always done right down history - so stop trying to sabotage your PM who is doing his best hes not brilliant but hes got the toughesrt job in the world. Something Ms Livni is incapable of doing. You Barak and Peres are solely responsible for Gaza.
26. #14, Terry. Agree, still as a leader of "opposition"
tanya ,   tel aviv israel   (05.01.11)
she is just perfect. Let her stay there foreever, who cares about her and the bunch of opportunists?
27. she has a bad memory
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (05.01.11)
Netanyahu may not be the best Prime Minister, but Livni has forgotten some facts. When she was in government, Israel lost two wars. As a direct result, all of Israel's population is now subject to rocket attack. It was her government that allowed Gilad Shalit to be captured. It was her government that failed so miserably in "Cast Lead" that she and Ehud Barak are internationally suspected of war crimes. Before she criticizes Netanyahu, she should go to the Hague (together with Ehud Barak) and demand to be tried for war crimes. If she comes back, I'll be willing to listen to her.
28. Livni,the next boss in Haatetz newspaper.
ROSENVALD ,   BRASIL   (05.01.11)
29. Livni
Michael Pielet ,   Boca, usa   (05.01.11)
Tsipi criticizes but what are her policies. Tsipi has no policies. Tsipi's record: Hamas took over Gaza when she, kadima was in power. Peace settlement with Fatah, no she could not accomplish that. Lose a war with hezbolah in Lebanon, yes she could do that!
30. Hatred of the Jews
michael Pielet ,   Boca raton, Israel   (05.01.11)
#13, buzzy. Peace ,of course Israel wants peace. The arabs refuse even to sit down and discuss peace. Recognition, certainly, read the Oslo agreement. Reality, your feigned ignorance is just a smoke screen hiding your malignant hatred of Jews and Israel.
