1. Questions.
Jules   (05.07.11)
How could that possibly happen that the Oslo agreements had not included an ultimate demand to IMMEDIATELY stop ALL anti-semitic and anti-Israel propaganda in the Palestinian mass media and school textbooks ? Wasn't it clear from the very beginning that the Israelis couldn't make "peace" with those who were taught at school that the Jews had been their mortal enemies ?
2. It wasn't confined to Germany.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (05.07.11)
All of Europe had a part to play. So did much of the Islamic world, particularly the Palestinians under the direction of the Mufti of Jerusalem, an ally of Hitler. Even countries not conquered by Germany, such as Britain, played a role in the destruction of European Jewry.
3. i knew it... bibis advisors are as nuts as him..

6. #1, #5
solomon ,   bklyn   (05.07.11)
#1- It IS part of the Oslo agreements; one of those parts assiduously ignored by both the "Pals" and the rest of the world. #5- Many do, many don't. It is difficult to "love they neighbor as thyself" when 'thy neighbor' makes up reasons [aka history] to kill you, teaches that to his children, etc. Especially when they constantly threaten to annihilate you and attempt to do so by starting wars time and again.
7. What Leiter omits
Steve   (05.07.11)
That the "Jews are commonly referred to as sons and daughters of pigs and apes" by Palestinian Muslims - indeed by many throughout the world - is found in none other than Islam's holies book, the Qur'an; Surah 2:65, 5:60, etc. Yet the Torah commands mankind to extend compassion to our mute friends; even to apes and pigs. Why is there no similar compassion in Islam's holiest book?
8. #5's biggest argument: "no u"

9. Funny, this subject never comes up on "peace talks"

11. #7 " WHY IS THERE NO SIMILAR
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (05.07.11)
Compassion in Islams' holiest book ??" because they are arseholes .
12. Re 10, no they do not.
Dan ,   Beer Sheva, Isreal   (05.07.11)
Get taught by whom? Where? When? No teacher told that to my kids and there is nothing like this in the school program. You can always find some marginal groops that demonize someone else (and Europe is plenty of them) but it never happens on the official level and in the mainstream media.
13. to #5, yes "we" do see Palestinians as humans
Ari Ben Canaan   (05.07.11)
Facts: We, the Jews, value the sanctity of life. That's why when Israel invaded Gaza, to stop rocket attacks, it dropped thousands of leaflets and sent thousands of text messages (in Arabic) telling civilians to vacate the areas that were going to be bombed. In doing so, they actually put their own soldiers in danger, all to value life. Facts: Public squares in Ramallah and Gaza are named after terrorists and condoned by the public. There is not one public square in Israel that is named after Baruch Goldstein or Yigal Amir. There, I just disproved your absurd notions with logic and fact, two things "you people" lack! Am Yisrael Chai!
14. So, where do we go from here?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.07.11)
Had the Allies destroyed Germany in 1937 -- even at the cost of 50 million lives -- it would have saved the lives of 70 million. Shall we look at the ersatz "Palestinians" in that light? I suppose it is fair to ask, what have they contributed to humanity or civilization anyway? Terrorism? Does that count? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Yes, Israelis do see Palestinians as humans. Racism is illegal in Israel! Arab Israelis have full rights according to Israeli laws. After Israel 'took over' the west bank, the Arabs there set up many Universities. Their standard of living also improved, because Israel started buildng their infrastructure of running water, sewage systems and electricity. Something many places did not have before the Israelis arrived. As has been said, there are some fringe elements in Israeli society who deny the PALs their rights. But Israel is a country of law or order, and won't allow civilians to take the law into their own hands. Unless you live here, and/or have visited Israel and have friends here, you have NO IDEA what you're talking about.
17. It starts by distorting the Koran
Ismail   (05.08.11)
Bani Israil "The Children of Israel" is mentioned many times in Koran and there was a chapter called this that has now been changed into "The Night's Journey" because it's more politically correct for the Islamic anti-Israel crowd. Compare old translations to new ones.
18. to #14 Sarah the so call allies created
ghostq   (05.08.11)
Nazi germany, after world war one British policy pushed Germany to the corner so to speak, none stay sane under British rulling, even your own country invited the Brits to Tea party. oh BTW your number is wrong during nazi era we r talking on 15 million victims(6 million jews, 3 million gypsies, 1.5 milion germans and the rest 4.5 million foriegns people), compare that to comunism in stalin era 23 million forieners were murdered by stalin bid, and that was only during stalin era, the number of non Russians victims goes much higher.

20. No. 10 has a valid point
DonnyH ,   Israel   (05.08.11)
Though you'd assume Israel would see Arabs as the Amalek today, 60 years ago you'd think it was the Germans. There has always been someone trying to annihilate the Jews, but there has never been a constant "evil" to point at. Rabbis today refuse to sentance a single nationality as "evil" because they aren't. It would be a monstrous and irresponsible decision. The theory today is that the Amalek are a people who've blended with many cultures. Teaching them to fear and hate Jews. To say that Arabs started anti-semitism is a lie. Today they are the most notable threat, but that doesn't mean they are the only ones who want to wipe the "catastrophe" (Generic reference to Israel) from existence.
21. A particularly well written account of
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (05.08.11)
how Jew hatred feeds at the roots of Palestinian society and how it is so inculcated into their young that the fever of anti-semitism will never be healed, at least for most Palestinians. The comparison of how such loathing is inculcated to nazified Germany and the European world is quite apt. I recall an exceptionally powerful essay by George Steiner on how the language of disgust was reiterated over and over and in various forms, i.e, newspaper articles, speeches, cartoons, that the audiences became mesmerized by them. In the end, we are obligated to cleanse ourselves of this evil encrusted around our borders. There appears to be no other way. In short, either we survive or the Arabs decimate us. there is no middle ground, no peaceful solution. We are face to face with Islam, a modern dragon which either slays or must be slain. I have not reached these conclusions lightly; they appear very clear and transparent to me now. My eyes were opened while residing in a Yishuv east of the Green Line. I might add that it's the Yishuveem who stand between our survival and our (Israel's) obliteration.

FYI 250,000 gay men were also sent to the concentration camps.
23. all true
yael ,   israel   (05.08.11)
the article describes a very true situation but so what?? this has been going on for centuries and no one really cares. No one cares because "they" are all indoctrinated with the same ideology.
24. Murakami can explain it too
traintalk ,   northern israel   (05.08.11)
In Underground: the Tokyo Gas Attack and the Japanese Psyche, the author, Haruki Murakami, recipient of the 2009 Jerusalem Prize for literature, says, it is exactly those "who should be most critical of 'utilitarian society' who use the 'utility of logic' as a a weapon and end up slaughtering masses of people". He explains: "language and logic cut off from reality have a far greater power than the language and logic of reality - with all that extraneous matter [i.e., confusion and contradictions - traintalk] weighing down like a rock on any actions we take".

26. to #22 they r included in the german society
ghostq   (05.09.11)
if I mention the gay community I will have to mention the others in details, sadly the list is long, but I was talking more about nationality and not identity, since hitler himself was gay, they found more evidences in the archives that confirmed that.

28. Keep writing, Leiter!

Gr8 article. I wish the Government would consistently say the truth and expose the Palestinians for what they are. The PA is worse then Hamas. At least everyone knows who Hamas is but the PA hide behind the civilized cloak of human decency like the pig who shows off his hooves, (look I'm kosher) but really doesn't chew its cud, doesn't keep any word of theirs.
