1. Hamas is trhe victum?
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (05.08.11)
What a distorted vision of the world where Hamas who violently took over Gaza by throwing Fatah members off of roofs and sent daily missiles from Israel free Gaza is labeled the victim. They got everything they wanted in Gaza and still claim to be victims.
2. Fayyad is the sweatheart of the West - that's why
Yaniv ,   Israel   (05.08.11)
In the Europeans' eyes, Hamas terrorists joining with the "moderate" Fatah, makes Hamas less terrorist, whereas HOPEFULLY in the eyes of America, the unity with Hamas makes Fatah less moderate than before.
3. I want Dr. Hanan Ashrawi as our next PM.
Salma ,   Palestine   (05.08.11)
but Salam Fayyad too would be a good choice for the coming months : )
4. Trouble in paradise?
Rachel ,   US   (05.08.11)
Wonder how long this marriage will last?
5. #3 no chance
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (05.08.11)
If I am not mistaken, Ashrawi is a Christian so Hamas would never agree. Anyways, Fayyad works for the Americans so if he is elected you guys keep getting money from Obama.
6. The LiARS Never cease LYING
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (05.08.11)
The fact is, this quote states it all: "Mashaal said that "it is unacceptable to ask the victim to recognize his executer [sic]." That it applies to Israel and NOT Hamas is the relevant point. As Usual they present the facts backwards, in the Day is night, night is day nonsense. Why these guys always get it wrong, and try to trick the world that Hamas is the victim. (to elicit undeserved world sympathy) The fact is the world sees through this more than obvious subterfuge, and laugh at Hamas for thinking anybody but the hard core supporters of Hamas believe their BS. Your nothing but a bunch of terrorists, you elicit no worldwide sympathy, it's over. Even the people in Gaza, who you bully, intimidate, threaten and kill want you and your ilk gone. Hamas your days are numbered. If a real vote were taken to day, without Hamas threats, they wouldn't get 30% of the vote.
7. #3 Nothing like a good PM for a stateless people.
(05.08.11)
8. Dr. Fayyad all the way baby! Salma, Ashrawi declined the job
Nour ,   One State   (05.08.11)
9. Excellent choice! The best display counter for
tanya ,   tel aviv israel   (05.08.11)
Hamasfatah terrrorists. Well educated, soft talking, good manners, european dressed, always politically correct. With the fox one must play the fox. Israel must find unconventional ways to counter this obvious "palestinan" fraud. Where is Lieberman? He is the only one capable to think out of the box.
10. Pals waiting for NATO to invade Israel
Sam ,   Canada   (05.08.11)
Palestinians are looking for a way to get a naive West to hand them the 1967 lines first and a right of return after. Compromising on the core issues is something they prefer avoiding. They think that people in the West are sufficient morons that superficial shtick like Hamas-Fatah unity and Fayyad as Prime Minister will make the West force Israel to capitulate to Palestinian demands. No, it's not but Western leaders want to see talks between Israel and the Palestinians. The West may be onside to a freeze but also onside of Israel as a Jewish state.
11. There is no "Palestinian P.M." There is no Palestine.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.08.11)
A fictional state can't have a P.M. There is no Palestine state. There never has been one and never will be one, unless Israelis have a collective death wish. Abbas is not enough the legitimate head of the P.A., let alone fictional Palestine. Abbas' term has long since expired.
12. One uncorrupted person and ham-ass wants him gone. They
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (05.08.11)
would rather have someone who could steal in the manner of ara-fat.
