There are many many of us. Actually quite an important majority. Just like in any country unfortunately, we also have our radicals devoid of common sense, education and lack of analysis and justice. The problem is their voices are heard more easily as they make good news, just like some unsophisticated reality shows that lack substance but has popular entertainment value and appeal. I am Turkish, and a miss (for the records:)) but more than anything human. to # 4 and # 10 beeing a turkish jew residing in israel I know the turkish people .those who participate to this manifestations are always the same bunch of activists numbering ten thousand. As for the rest some have been intoxicated by antisemitic rethoric of R.T.E but not participate in the manifistations striving to survive the economic crisis. the turkish people do not care about bin laden , gaza blocus and so on. i communicate all the time with my turkish friends and 6 months ago invited two of them to see the Israel reality. they enjoyed very much of their visit .and now they are thinking to visit again our country.!!

The ones who participated in the so called funeral, are actually causing a big damage to the picture of Turkey. I believe the majority of turks are opposed to that, but they remain silent. Perhaps they have to find the courage to go out at the streets, and show it. After all Istanbul became victim of Al Qaeda's bombing, with many innocent casualties.There are many issues where Turkey is wrong, but we have to be fair and keep this in its rightfull proportion. Turkey is facing the public widespread of extreme religionism, and it can be stopped only by healthy internal powers. It is up to them ,not to end like Iran one day. Lets hope they will react.
