The onus is on the new government to meet certain International criteria just to be "considered" for a new entity. First Hamas 1) recognizes Israel 2) renounces all forms of violence and terrorism, 3) renounces all forms of incitement against Israel, 4) and agrees that peace talks will be the only form of negotiations. In addition the new government agrees that any attacks...with a zero tolerance.. on Israel are acts of war, and Israel can and will response with overwhelming force, Israel can invade with it's entire army. This wii guarantee Israel's security, the price for one attack must be so high, that no attacks will occur. It will also eliminate the shell game of terror groups. Am I missing something here? Didn't Hamas already declare war on Israel back in 2007, which resulted in the Gaza blockade? Last I checked, Hamas neither rescinded their declaration of war against a sovereign nation nor did they change their charter which specifically lists destruction of Israel as its goal. So, was the previous 4 years of war just pretend but this would be "real war" if Mashaal is angry?
