balastinian   (05.15.11)
even sweden has it's own law against muslim occupasion. and you just cannot be a US citizen if u don't Pledge to the flag every day and pledge to stay loyal to your country. so if they carry israeli ID they must be loyal citizens. they can't Have one's cake and eat it too?!
7. Waddya know?!? An effective bill....almost.
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (05.15.11)
All the Arabs have to do is get the PLO to return to the negotiating table instead of taking to the streets to try and kill Israeli cops and innocent drivers-by. However, that's obviously mission impossible. Kind of like trying to get Hamas to agree to peace talks. It's every so much more easy and fun to go out and riot. Blows off a lot of pent up testosterone, might even create a few martyrs to generate even more riots and destruction in the Arab sector. And, of course, it will do nothing to bring peace any closer. So they're scared of the Lieberman bill? Excellent! Will they actually try to take pro-active action to get their cousins to negotiate? Sadly, doesn't look like it.
8. 5th column
Adam ,   Golan Heights Israel   (05.15.11)
It is blatantly obvious that arab Israelis consider themselves palestinians and not Israeli citizens. They do not want Israeli police to police their towns. They do not want Israeli institutions regulating their lives. Lieberman is correct with his plan. Let the arab israeli blocks of villages become a part of a future state of palestine, in exchange for the Israeli blocks in Judea and Samaria. This is not racist. It is not ethnic cleansing. It is simply dividing the land between the two peoples. Two states for two peoples. No one has to leave their home or land. A majority Jewish state of Israel, and a majority arab state of palestine. Of course, we know the arabs will never accept this logical plan, as it would mean they would have to acknowledge that Israel is here to say. Without the 20% arab 5th column in Israel, they lose their final card in the destruction of Israel.
9. so why do you talk so much????
DUBBLE STANDARD   (05.15.11)
and yes part of being a citizen in every euroupien country involves also that thing CALLED BEING LOYAL TO YOUR COUNTRY you can't try to destroy your country and ALSO get the welfare check in the end of the mount from the country U HATE?!
10. THE SO CALLED "PALASTINIANS"
billbel   (05.15.11)
don't even have the consonant "p" in their langhuage so why do we still believe it's their land???? the british empire gave that name to israel. and it's a fact. go to old books. WHY there is'nt a single book before 1948 talking about the palestinian people????? just because it's all a fraun!!!!!!!
11. Salma - Israel will remain the only democracy
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (05.15.11)
What's your "ha" for? There is absolutely no sign that Fatah or Hamas will agree to turn the yet to exist "Palestine" into a democracy. Look at the PA now and tell me where I'm wrong: there is no freedom of the press, there is no freedom of assembly, there is no freedom of expression, there is no freedom of religion, there is no freedom of speech. There are absolutely no signs that either Fatah or Hamas will allow opposition to their rule. There is absolutely no sign that Hamas will ever agree to peacefully be voted out of office. And as for "Palestine" "returning" one day - we all know that there never was a country called "Palestine", so it can't "return one day." Unless you want to be a province of Greece, Rome, or Syria?
12. free "palestine" from what? from freedom and democracy?
Daniela   (05.15.11)
palestinians is the only arab people who live in democracy
13. Go celebrate Naqba Day in Jordan.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (05.15.11)
The way things are going, eventually, and soon, I hope, they'll be marking a second Naqba as refugees in Jordan. These morons want to start a civil war, a repeat of 1948. The model they have in mind is pre-war Czechoslovakia & the Seudetenland Germans which led to the end of Czechoslovakia. They are in for a surprise. In the end, the Seudetenland Germans were EXPELLED from Czechoslovakia, as were were other ethnic German Nazi-supporters in Eastern Europe.
14. to silly Salma 5

state of Israel constitutes what? Provocation.
16. number 10
salma ,   takes it from behind   (05.15.11)
sorry sir, but it was actually the roman empire that dubbed the land of judea "philistine" because syria actually used to be called 'syria philistine', and they were a sworn enemy of the jews. so when the romans took over, they decided to twist the knife a bit more by naming the jewish homeland 'philistine'. and the name got dragged on through the centuries, until small groups of bedouins from jordan wandered accidentaly into judea. with no plans to stick around or build anything useful. then came israel. the rightful owners to the land. renamed it 'the land of israel' and began to turn the country into the wonderful, economically stable, hi tech, advanced military state that we know and love today. now these bedouins couldnt stand that of course, so they needed to show some 'muscle', but they were just a bunch of poor, scattered people that jordan, egypt, or any of their other brother countries did not want to take in and deal with. so they decided to use the old roman dub 'philistine'
17. 80% of historical Palestine is occupied by Arabs
Yaniv ,   Israel   (05.15.11)
So free Palestine must then mean to get rid of the Arabs?
18. #11 My HA is for "your" democracy.
Salma ,   Palestine   (05.15.11)
Brian Cohen , is it a democracy to prevent a part of citizens of the" Israeli" entity to express their feelings, even in a peaceful manner ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
19. Naqba
Michael ,   Haifa   (05.15.11)
The net outcome was certainly a catastrophe for the Palestinians and they have every right to make it a day of mourning for their present plight. However, they must make their own historical narrative accurate by recognizing that they and the Arab States made a great error in not recognizing the UN partition plan and by attacking Israel. This was undoubtedly a contributory factor to the Naqba
20. finally, something shut them up!
(05.15.11)
21. #18 Israel cannot and should not be more
Frank ,   USA   (05.15.11)
democratic than the USA. First, Israel is not surrounded by the friendly states of Mexico and Canada. It is surrounded by the Arab terrorists in Gaza, Hezbollastan and radical and terrorist Arab regimes. Second, had the congressmen of the USA advocated the dissolution of the American Union as the Arab representitives in the Knesset do they would have been locked up. If America does not accept treason neither should Israel. The problem is not you because traditionally you want to use the Jews to advance your badly run territories,. The problem are the Jews who cater to you. The biggest problem Israel is facing are the ultra liberal, ultra leftist Jews who want to help you destroy Israel. Thank God for the Jews like Lieberman who understand how venomous you are and try to stop it.
22. Correction, my post was for Salma at 18.
Eli   (05.15.11)
23. Salma - go learn about democracy and speech
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (05.15.11)
There is no unlimited freedom of speech in any democracy. One of the tenets of democracy is that you have to accept it, since the only change allowed is via democratic means. Most democracies in the world do not allow their citizens to advocate the destruction of the country - and that means that no, if you want to kill somebody you are NOT allowed to express your feelings, even in a peaceful manner. Israeli Arabs have tremendous power at the ballot box. If united, they could get 1/4 of the seats in the Knesset. However, they don't do that. That too, is democracy.
24. #8 disagree
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (05.15.11)
Most Arabs with Israeli citizenship that I talk to consider themselves Israelis and are more loyal to the state than most "anarchists" from Ramat Aviv Gimel. The problem is that the NGOs, the police, the press and the government are trying to force them to be "Palestinians". Just like Zionists, the majority of Israel Arabs are victims of the politics.
25. odd how they mourn their defeated plan
ygalg ,   israel   (05.15.11)
do we mark holocaust day by going to Germany to demonstrate and throw Molotovs? interestingly that every marked day, is a violent day for muslims. there is no moment of silence. a disrespect for the fallen. they even shoot people on weddings day, as expression of celebration. wtf??? what a barbaric and undeveloped people. still in their primate mentality. no wonder why they prefer to live in caves...
26. 18
birdi ,   israel   (05.15.11)
peacefull my foot. you dont know what the word peace means. all you can do is post your blabber of hatred here. continue dreaming of your babba's home in acco.you wont see it in your lifetime.
27. It is against the law to transgress upon neighbors
Ypip ,   Canada   (05.15.11)
This charade is not a gest of solitude or celebration. It is a defiance of the Prophet, blessed be his name, and is abolished by the acts from where it came from! Not recognized and forbidden. Hate is doom.
28. #23
P ,   Philadelphia   (05.15.11)
Here in the United States, just as in our communities all over the world, not everyone sees the modern state of Israel as always being a just, benign entity. Its foundation, just like the United States, involved a lot of tragedy and abuse for people already there. We can understand how some people protest Thanksgiving in the United States. Should either country have been founded the way it was? I think probably not. Anti-zionists in our community are not limited to the religious nuts. That said, Israel will not be dismantled and our people over there will not disappear. I'd like Israel to change, but not to resemble the backwards governments of its neighbours. We're not going to pack up and return to Europe, but we can be a light unto the world a lot better if we stop being so petty about this.
29. Arab-Israelis avoid protests over Nakbu bill
Elsie. ,   Gush Halav   (05.15.11)
Thank you #24, for your post, how true, that politics always tries to hijack everything concerning Israeli-Arabs, , its just that people tend to swallow everything that is said against the Arab-Israeli,without even really knowing them, or worse, not wanting to know, and accepting everything as gospel, which is ashame.
30. #28 why do you assume jews in Israel came from Europe
rachel ,   usa   (05.15.11)
You seem to forget that more than 50% of Israelis are from the 1 million jewish refugees kicked out of arab countries!!!!!
