1. THE SWEETNESS OF HUMAN SHIELDS
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (05.15.11)
So we see the same tactics used by Hamas, Hezbollah and many others, used again against Israel. Should the Syrian government be charged with violating the International Law? First because of the buses, the reporters along for the ride, this was clearly a premeditated act by the Syrian government. Imagine the cynicism and perversion of this act. To send women and kids to breach the border, hoping the IDF would overreact. Again we we have Proof Positive of the illegal tactics always used by Arabs in any conflict against Israel. We can see why Goldstone had no choice but to retract his report. These are a sad, deviant people without morals. How anybody could defend such sickness throughout the world, borders on insanity. They continue to replay the same behavior that has brought them nothing but failure, the very definition of insanity.
2. International law
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (05.15.11)
According to the international law, Israel should file a lawsuit against Syria and Lebannon for intenting invasion or legal entry to a country.
3. THe FUIDF is becoming a toothless tiger
Al   (05.15.11)
I've said it a 1000 times. 1) Get rid of Barak 2) Get rid of Netanyahu 3) Shoot to kill s/b the order for years to come. 4) Move to a professional army...now. The mavens running the IDF are worthless fools with their heads up their ass. You need to clean house or you will end up dead.
4. Image 1,000s of Mexicans rushing the US border.
jose consuego ,   texas, usa   (05.15.11)
I can only imagine what would be the fate of thousands of Mexicans that rushed toward the US border on a sunny Sunday afternoon in May... No body would even think to criticize the US government for protecting its borders. Oh, media bias, how I loath thee...
5. Blame Facebook and Twitter
Talula ,   Israel   (05.15.11)
Those imbeciles there let any one post anything they like. There is no control and no monitoring - Nekba day started there. Mossad are excellent at infiltrating staff in high places - maybe they should find someone in Facebook and get them to pull the plug on this incitement before it's uploaded. Facebook and Twitter and any other social media website that is used to incite violence should be taken down immediately.
6. Intelligence didn't predict trouble on Syrian border?
Rachel ,   US   (05.15.11)
What about a little common sense? It was obvious for MONTHS that all of Israel borders would need beefed up protection today.
7. IDF must prepare for the next round
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (05.15.11)
Israel's enemies will provoke, and then provoke some more, until it all breaks out into war. So IDF must raise the price for the next round. It should of course have non-lethal crowd control tools at the ready, including "Stink", microwave and ultrasonic repellants. But if that proves insufficient, take them down. And don't apologize for what you have to do.
8. #7; Raymond, GREAT IDEA
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (05.15.11)
You may have hit on it, the use of "malodorants" to quell riots. It doesn't hurt anybody and might be perfect on the border. Israel could use the the mother of all "stink" bombs. Type this phrase into your address bar at the top of your page. "Police sniff out mother of all stink bombs" Go to the article in the Guardian Newspaper. This is for others as I'm sure Raymond is already aware of it. The use of "microwave and ultrasonic repellants" has been perfect for rats, so it'll probably be perfect for the Arabs. The Arabs teach their children that Jewish and Christians are descendents of Apes and Pigs. If true maybe the Arabs are descendents of Rats, so use the ultrasound and Microwaves and lets see?

Shlomo Kamera   (05.15.11)
You are an inciteful idiot. Goldstone did NOT retract his report.
10. Jorge #2
Shlomo Kamera   (05.15.11)
You are an unintelligent idiot. I quote: "for intenting invasion or legal entry to a country." I rest my case.
11. Mexicans?
JB ,   Rehovot Israel   (05.15.11)
If a thousand mexicans "rushed the border", the U.S. wouldn't do anything. Many thousands cross the border every day, and we don't even station any troops along it. You might try reading the news instead of falling back on some comic book notion of what WWII era America would have done vs the joke that it's become.
12. #7 - don't forget to use ultra loud replays
seadog1946 ,   ArthurKill, NY   (05.15.11)
of Barry Manilow "hits".
13. Mistake in Borders
emanon ,   USA   (05.15.11)
That should have been Syrian and Lebanese borders not being crossed by IDF troops.
14. Brigade Commander Colonel Eshkol Shurun
Yisroel Avrahm ,   Israel   (05.15.11)
Eshkol Shurun needs to be removed from his comand for ordering his troops not to fire on civilians who entered Israel from Syria.

AGREED.
17. #4 Bad imagery. There is no need for Mexicans to rush the US
Harry Wright ,   U   (05.16.11)
border. Obama allows them free passage. Furthermore, if they were to alert Obama that 1,000 of them were coming, there would be coffee and doughnuts waiting for them plus buses to take them to their destination inside the US
18. Children as Human Shields
J Mott ,   Albion USA   (05.16.11)
What kind of cowards send their children into such a situation? Or is it possible that they were trying to escape Syria?

20. world open your eyes
OVADYAH ,   HALES   (05.16.11)
An initial military inquiry into Sunday's events derived that nearly 1,000 Syrians approached the fence, with SYRIAN border forces unable – or unwilling – to stop them. ------- designed to provoke and produce a blackeye for the israelis-- hope the world sees WHO THE REAL initiators are

Can't agree with you more, and thats from a peace loving aging hippy
22. HI there!!!!
IRAN#1   (05.16.11)
Are you awake!?!?!
23. This was handling a border incident "well"???
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (05.16.11)
I'd hate to see what a bad day looks like. Insufficient forces, wrong ordnance. There should have been tear gas dispersion tanks set up on the Israeli side of the fence, positioned just upwind and backed up by thousands of launched cannisters. No fire hoses? No rubber bullets? Nothing to get the Arab criminals off the fence before they tore it open and not one, not ten, but hundreds of Syrians violated international law and the various ceasefire agreements? Sorry, but doesn't look to me like this was handled "well" at all.
24. UN peace keeping force
zznhl   (05.16.11)
What a waste of time. They travel around Israel counting soldiers and tanks and bullets, report to their UN bosses most of whom are Arabs who straight away report to their bosses in Damascas and Ankara. but in Syria they stay in their bases and do nothing to stop anyform of agressin against Israel...let alone innoscent Syrian civilians!
25. #10
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (05.16.11)
For your information Israel is taking the first step: filling a complaint in unsc. Second after reading your post you qualify for a phyquiatry doctor ......internal patient. Stop insulting and stop being leftist and go work
26. #9; Shlomo, REALLY
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (05.16.11)
No, he retracted the most serious accusations about Israel in the the report, Second, increased his attacks on Hamas as the real villains. Other than that, no big deal, right Shlomo?
27. UN
fredi ,   Carmiel Israel   (05.17.11)
Shame on you (UN). This was a pure anti Israeli provocation. If the UN see it differently than they are completely blind and ignorant, but I am not surprised since it has always been like that.
28. idf
