1. 'Palestinian state must be disarmed'
Marcel ,   Florida   (05.16.11)
So who is going to disarm Hamas in Gaza ? You really think anyone else will when you proved unwilling ? NATO,UN,US,EU will do nothing. Why do you push off on other what you refuse to do ? Israel has proven incapable being content under D.M. Barak to leave the job half finished in 2009.
2. UNDIVIDED Yerushalayim capital!!! I worry it wasn't a slip.
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (05.16.11)
3. Livni is a contemptible excuse for a leader.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.16.11)
Obama, along with other false friends and enemies of Israel, tries to scare Israel into obedience. Livni does the same. She is a contemptible excuse for a leader. Israel needs a Churchill as a leader. Livni is weaker and more appeasing than Chamberlain. She has no place anywhere in Israeli leadership.
4. Tzip Livni only knows how to attack Israel
Sandra ,   NYC   (05.16.11)
If peace were so easy to make with Israel's enemies, Livni would have done it in 2008. She's pretending that it's totally possible to make peace in the current situation because it's easier for her to attack Israel than it is for her to lead. She is no leader. Let the "Palestinians" do what they want in the UN in September. It's better to fight off what they do in the UN than it would be to surrender to them to keep them from going there.
5. Duh, you think you can occupy Palestine forever? WRONG
Frank ,   USA   (05.16.11)
No foreign occupation in Palestine lasted forever. While Jewish occupation has been in Palestine for several decades now (though too long), it will be dismantled and uprooted.
6. Fatah wants ISrael destroyed too!
Jay3 ,   Israel   (05.16.11)
Enough of the phony good terrorist/ bad terrorist talk. Fatah want Israel destroyed as much as Hamass! And one more point to remember....The arabs never called themselves PAlestinian and never wanted a PAlestinian state in 1945!
7. Rabin and Netanjahu's ideas are identical: 1) Jerusalem will
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (05.16.11)
remain united under Israel's sovereignty. 2) Major Jewish settlement blocs will be part of the sovereignty state of Israel. 3) The Jordan Valley will remain under Israel's control. 4) Future Palestinian state will be demilitarized and Israel will control its airspace and border passes. In addition: The leadership of Palestinian state must accept Israel's right to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people. A peace agreement must be considered the "end of the conflict". A peace agreement must be the "end of all future demands". Rabin spoke at the Knesset in October 1995, while Natanjahu in May 2011. The former, the left wing Labor Chairman and Prime Minister. The latter, the right wing Likud Chairman and present Prime Minister. Both, men of peace who are also Jewish/Israeli patriots eager to see a peace in our region but not at the expense of Israel national and security interests.
8. Isn't Netanyahu's govmnt. weak enough?
Steve   (05.16.11)
He wants to weaken it further by incorporating the party of surrender and retreat; Kadima? Likud is running a close second to Kadima, whose head is atrocious. The "damage Mr. Netanyahu has inflicted" on Israel is through the projection of weakness; support for a "demilitarized" Muslim-terror state in Israel's heartland, building freezes and proposed freezes, begging jihadists like Abbas to sit down and negotiate, Jewish home demolitions, etc. All these project insecurity and weakness.
9. Tzippy will say anything to get elected
Ralph ,   Yonkers, USA   (05.16.11)
Seems she already had a chance with Olmert. Kidma should be called Ahora. First we erase 67 lines, then 48 lines. June 67 the west bank was in Arab hands. Why were they not happy then?
10. Case PROVEN
CC   (05.16.11)
Livni, Kadima and the whole so-called left of center has amply proved that their petty, myopic and cheap interests are more importamt to them than Israel's survival by showing a united front to the "int'l community" and nefarious Europe. But alas Livni and Kadima is favoured by the mass-media against the eminently sensible Benjamin Netanyahu. Too bad Kadima failed the test and by doing this they are in effect, not in intent, behaving like traitors. Traitors.
11. For the "Palestinians" there is always 1948
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.16.11)
when in fact 1948 AND 1967 are BOTH LONG GONE... The "Palestinian" state became established in 1948 and in 1967...this is a FACT of history...this state is called Jordan...
12. EVEN THOUGH I DON'T REALLY MEAN IT,....
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (05.16.11)
....if Livni is going to play silly party political games when the enemy is at the door,I half hope that she visits Britain and gets arrested. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
13. AND THAT'S THAT
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (05.16.11)
All those who didn't have confidence in Mr Netanyahu to put the State of Israel's interests first should hang their heads in shame. He stood up to Obama,he stood up to Clinton,he stood up to Abbas,he stood up to the UN,he stood up to the EU,he stood up to the terrorist flotillas and yesterday he stood up to a coordinated invasion. It took nearly 44 years, but an Israeli PM has finally had to the guts to make a clear, unequivocal answer to the evil Arab League's Khartoum Declaration and tell those tyrants what do do with their suicidal 'Peace Plan'. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
14. Bereshit
YaĆ«lle Schlichting ,   Raubling Germany   (05.16.11)
At the beginning I thought: "No! Not Bibi!" But over the time, I see, that his only real big mistake during the last two years, was to be Benjamin Netanjahu. He was blamed for being Benjamin Netanjahu. +++ Truly there is not much to negotiate. You can't negotiate hate: "Can you hate me a little less, please?" No, Arabs learn it at school, what to think about Kafir. And this is why the conflict is not even about 1948. It's not about 1947, too. +++ It's about the question, what lead "Mohammad Amin al-Husayni" to what he did to Jews and would a different person being Mufti of Jerusalem at this time, have acted differently? Who sowed the seeds of hate? +++ Honestly, we will not have the time to answer these questions by before September. What we must do, is explain the world the history of the land. We must find simple terms, which find their way into the people minds. Thus supporting Netanjahu and Lieberman when they travel around the world to promote Israels position. +++ It doesn't matter if you like them or not. The one is PM and the other is FM. We have them and we need them to be successful!
15. Tzipi, remind me who gave away the Gaza strip???
Eli ,   Ashkelon   (05.16.11)
Wasn't that by any chance a party called Kadima that only brought Israel backwards???? and what happened with that Gaza strip? You are accusing other people now of creating a Hamastan????? incredible how stupid and arrogant that woman is...
16. Livni warns of establishment of "Hamastan"
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (05.16.11)
Hamastan is already here.
17. No new elections
Rachel ,   US   (05.16.11)
Because Obama and the EU would move heaven and earth to make sure Kadima won. But I wouldn't be too upset if Bibi resigned and Moshe Yaalon took over. I know I'm dreaming, but that would be great.
18. Livni is selfishly looking after herself not the people.
Ex Kadima ,   Israel   (05.16.11)
19. if the world is gonna fall on us on september
TO THE STATE ,   OF ISRAEL   (05.16.11)
dear israelies, we want you to know that realizing this dream with you, rising the state of israel from the ashes of Ezekiel prophecy was the greatest joy of our lifes. together we made that dream come true. and it doesn't matter what happened yesterday or what tommorow will bring, together we stand. how many nations were to fulfill a dream of two thousand years? only one nation. we did. stay united and may god bless you all.
20. no matter which side of the political map
AM ISRAEL CHAI   (05.16.11)
we are all borthers and sisters
21. dear brothers
depend on us   (05.16.11)
it doesn't matter what zipi or bibi said. it all about us. we must not let the political partties as well as hamas and fatah to divide us. we came here as brothers and sisters and we will fight like brothers and sisters. it's all depend on us
22. Am Yisrael Chai!
jerri i ,   NYC   (05.16.11)
The song "David Melech Yisrael" says it all. We need a person who acts like king David not like our present leadership has been acting. We need Mashiach now, not a blundering peacemaker.
23. Act against UNRWA, perpetuum mobile of conflict
tanya ,   tel aviv israel   (05.16.11)
24. KADIMA MARCH!!!!
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (05.16.11)
Left!Left!Left!Left!Left!...... THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
25. #5 Palestine was never ruled by "Palestinians"
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (05.16.11)
It was always occupied by foreign rulers, EXCEPT when it was ruled by the Jews.
26. just like jerusalem
salem- shalom ,   peace   (05.16.11)
ISRAELIES ARE UNDIVIDED AT HEARTS
27. Another 'palestinian' state in Judea & Samaria will kill you
Lee ,   Manchester UK   (05.16.11)
after it killed the 'palestinians'. The 'palestinians state is called Jordan - just dig out the archives and history will show us. This DISASTER must NEVER HAPPEN!
28. Israeli-Palestinian peace
Lavalon ,   Toronto, Canada   (05.16.11)
Toronto is an oasis of peace for all Jews in a very troubled world. When I get up every day, no one is shooting at me!! I go about my business with impunity, not bothering anyone and no one bothering me. In Toronto, as a Jew, I proudly take my seat at the table with other Canadians from all over the world: white, black, brown, Chinese, also Arabs; Jews, Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Buddhists etc. We all share this lovely, peaceful city of Toronto. Folks, it takes a lot of collective emotional maturity to navigate such a city. Toronto is the city of earth's future where all races, colours, creeds, sexualities live in harmony. Meanwhile, you Israelis and the Palestinians aren't grown enough to sit down and make peace once and for all. So what you folks experience on a daily basis is insecurity, rage, sometimes murder. You have trapped yourselves into a hellish existence. Oddly, you have lived side by side since 1948 -- actually for many years before including Jews who never left Jerusalem when theJews were dispersed by the Romans, so neither of you is a mystery to the other. You know each other very, very well. Yet, you don't trust one another enough to make peace. Sadly, the way things are going, there will never be peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians because neither of you really wants it. This is a terrible legacy that you are leaving Israeli and Palestinian children. You guys should be ashamed at the terrible example that you set. You create unnecessary suffering and then take pride in that suffering. Frankly, I don't think that you Israelis or Palestinians are grown up enough to have a country of your own. A pox on both your houses!!
29. #5 and bibi's speech
yosef ,   memphis   (05.16.11)
