61. Mines, Artillery and Apaches
Noah Lev ,   HollywoodUSA   (05.19.11)
Hows about hundreds of thousands of Jews rushing the borders with Syria and Lebanon? There are thousands of US Jews and Christians/Infidels) who would travel to Israel to help. But there are also other counter measures. (See Korea). Mine the area south of the border..they send children to get blown up. Thats their problem. Israel can do whatever it pleases within its borders. But again, Israel is reacting. Firing artillery north should be an alternative. Pick one border, let say Lebanon and fire away. Ultimately Syria is responsible, but I would let it alone for now..it has enough problems. The flotilla headed for Israel..use Apache Helicopters on their engines.
62. #6 - if so, that would mean marches to Syria...
William ,   Israel   (05.19.11)
where the province of Palestine actually existed.
63. #49 - you know, I never read it that way before
William ,   Israel   (05.19.11)
I glossed over the last part but you're right, Arab govts would be held responsible for initiating the war and have to pay dearly to settle the matter.
64. May Wiser Minds?-take precedence to Violence.
D   (05.19.11)
Prayers will never result in a Palestinian state. Rushing the borders won't either. Hopefully the Palestinians will not try to invade Israel or try to inflict injury or worse on innocents. I am of the opinion that violent behavior at the border may result in more deaths. There are other ways to prove a point than putting one's life or the lives of others in danger. But if the Palestinians choose to be violent on Friday or attempt to invade Israel, then there should be consequences for their actions. The ball is in their court. The responsibility for any deaths that may ensue on Friday is the responsibility of Palestinian Leadership, others who have promoted the March, and the individual marchers themselves. May wiser minds?- take precedence to violence.
65. Wanna Bet.
Douglas Fireman ,   Chicago, USA   (05.19.11)
Praying will not result in a Palestinian state nor will violence at the borders. Any ensuing deaths, due to the March on Friday, will be the responsibility of Palestinian leadership, others who have promoted the March, and the intentions of the individual participants whose choice it was to join the marchers. Will wiser mind prevail over violence? Wanna bet
66. At least you have a border.
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (05.19.11)
The United States just gives them a ticket and tells them to move in. Obama compares the illegals.... to the people who came over legally to become citizens. With a president like that....who needs a border anymore.
67. One State
nathan greenberg ,   Toronto, Canada   (05.19.11)
It's time for Israel to become part of Palestine.
68. March on Israel's borders?
jake ,   W. Palm Beach, FL   (05.19.11)
Oh really? Be prepared to be shot.
69. An act of war
Ron ,   OC, US   (05.19.11)
This is an act of swar and must be treated accordingly.
70. @Dave #3
JJ ,   The Hague, NL   (05.19.11)
Nothing better than peacefully demonstrate for freedom. Of course there won't be an 'invasion', as you seem to suggest.
71. @Zionist #4
JJ ,   The Hague, NL   (05.19.11)
I fail to see any reason why anyone would be killed, unless the guards on the other side of the border are prepared to do that (again).
72. @IRV #15
JJ ,   The Hague, NL   (05.19.11)
Palestinians want back what's been stolen from them. You would do the same (I guess). Now they, at last, demonstrate in masses for that right -- a much more effective and human way than launching rockets, killing citizens.
73. @Ralph #58
JJ ,   The Hague, NL   (05.19.11)
He (also) said: "...that Israel was not to be forced back to the 'fragile' and 'vulnerable' Armistice Demarcation Lines, but should retire once peace was made to what Res. 242 called 'secure and recognized' boundaries, agreed to by the parties". Which is why Israel consistently uses the argument 'there is no partner for negotiations'. All this does not imply that Israel has a right to consider the West Bank as its territory in any way.
74. Switch arab Facebook off !
Morris ,   Manchester, UK   (05.19.11)
Can't israel kindly request Zuckerberg to switch off the pipeline for these arabs? Let them use camel dispatches instead !
75. It is no longer the "occupied territories" they wish to
Yig'al Shamir ,   Israel   (05.19.11)
de-legitimize; it is rather Israel's very existence through the violation of Israel's sovereignty. Isn't it time some naive people abroad opened their eyes to see what the true intention is of the Arabs, Israel's demise?
76. 70
birdi ,   israel   (05.19.11)
how can you be so sure ''of course there wont be an invasion'' are you willing to sign on that? none of us know, for sure, what is going to happen when thousands upon thousands march on our borders. we can only speculate.
77. Let them come ?
Sagi   (05.19.11)
To all the brave loudmouths who say "let them come" I would like to point out a certain fact of history. In ancient times, 3-4 thousand years ago, walls were built as defense, sometimes double walls as described on numerous occassions in the Bible. The walls tumbled and the masses came. In classical times, 2000 years ago, all fortifications that were built to repel the enemy invaders only stalled and delayed them, the masses again won the day and the fortifications were useless. In more modern times, such as the middle ages, all castles with moats were at one stage or another overrun and laid to waste. The Great Wall of China did not stop the Mongol hordes. In 1914-1918 no amount of German artillery and bullets could stop the advancing allies, not the German trenches, concrete barriers, barbed wire and Maginot itself. In 1952 no amount of American fire power was able to stop the advancing Chinese troops into North Korea. All these are well recorded facts. The human factor is stronger than the technological one, always. Modern day fortifications are no better than those of yesteryear when the human factor is sufficiently motivated as is the case with our enemies. The Imams and educators have been working on this for several generations now. Be warned, this is a very serious problem, and like all other instances of sedition and incitement it will snowball and get out of control. It has nothing to do with the competence or incompetence of this or that leader or Minister.
78. the best thing Palestinians can do
haitham ,   germany   (05.19.11)
other suggestions like western democracy can be established after finishing this big issue ( occupation)
79. Time to plant landmines
Josh   (05.19.11)
80. More clarity
Sagi   (05.19.11)
If what I said in # 77 is not sufficient then I shall be more succint. Poisoned minds which motivate masses of people is the ultimate weapon. There is no way that it can be overcome other than by total destruction, this we shall not do and more so we shall not be allowed to do it.
81. Fourth down and 20 yards, Hut 1 hut 2
Josh   (05.19.11)
The defense team, however, has guns.
82. rushing borders
andrew brown ,   bridgeport,usa   (05.19.11)
make shure you have machine guns locked and loaded this friday
83. They should be warned they'll be shot if they cross
Talula ,   Israel   (05.19.11)
We can't do more than that. It's then upto them to decide. Every resident of Israel should head for the borders as well.
84. Return to Palestine
Sami ,   Abu Dhabi   (05.19.11)
The Jews from all different ethnicities longed to return back to the "land of israel" after 3000 years.... The Loss of Palestine happened only 63 years ago, I firmly believe that the Palestinians has the right to go back to their rightful land which the nascent "state" of israel took away from them in its etnic cleansing campaign of 1948....'Israelis" cannot do anything about it...What goes around comes around..Israelis need to have a reality check and get over their sense of victimhood, they also need to see themselves as equal humans to all others and not some chosen people from cuckoo land...
85. Let's march on Har HaBait then!
David ,   Jerusalem   (05.19.11)
86. Palestine
Sami ,   Palestine   (05.19.11)
Liberate Palestine and not invade Israel.. sorry but after 63 years we still call it Palestine,,, from river to sea.. whether you like or not,,Palestine will be free, if not during this decade,, maybe the next generation will do that,, like South Africa,, foreigners will eventually leave,, back to their original countries
87. Notice the Timing? Syria & Lebanon Patrol Those Borders
Nic ,   UK   (05.19.11)
Youy know, the Syrian Army that is being used to maim and kill anti government protesters. The only reason that the Syrian government and their proxy in Lebanon would allow people to get so close to the border en masse (not just allow but facilitate). They're drawing attention away from the real issue, anyone who participates should be held responsible for the fate of the anti government protestors.
88. to 77#
cress ,   cape town   (05.19.11)
Your correct analysis appliies if one party is on the defence..therefore Israel's mindset should abandon its defensive galut condition vis a vis the nations and become more assertive-- attack and put the enemy on the defensive
89. #84 Ethnic cleansing? I don't think so
Madeleine ,   Rehovot Israel   (05.19.11)
So y ou buy into the lies of ethnic cleansing do you. Well, let me tell you this: the West Bank was legally part of the Land of Israel as per the 1922 San Remo Treaty (signed by Chaim Weizmann and Emir Faisal). In 1948, do you know who attacked whom? No - you got it wrong, Israel didn't attack the Arabs, but all the surrounding Arab countries attacked israel, with the Arab leaders calling for all those residents of the Arab villages to relocate to their brethren in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan (who would "welcome them wtih open arms") while the Arab armies intended rolling through Israel, cleaninsing the land of its resident jews so that the refugees cold return within 3 days to a Jew-free land. The villagers were asked to relocate because their villages were in the paths of the invading Arab armies' tanks. Israel, on the other hand, urged its Arab residents to remain pledging that no harm would come to them. Yes, there were incidents (and please don't cite Dir yassin again) of violence againast Israeli Arabs but they were not government sponsored and were few and far between. Fact is, today's Israeli Arabs have a far better life and far more freedoms than any Arab in any other Arab nation. Get over the fact - you are a bunch of losers.
90. #84 Read the history books - not written by Jews
Talula ,   Israel   (05.19.11)
The Palestinians were given the chance to live side by side with us - but it was all or nothing for them - now they have nothing.
