31. Sorry, we have every right to give our opinion
Geoff ,   Dallas, Tx   (05.21.11)
Sorry - considering we are one of the few countries in the world that offer diplomatic, military, and financial cover for Israel, we have every right to express our opinion. Add that to the fact that world-wide - WE are viewed as the vassal and not the other way around, then do you expect that APAIC will continue to be able to sway Presidents against the inconvenient truth staring everyone in the face? Israel has every right for security, access to water, and peace within its borders, but that will never happen until you return the land that was taken in 67 - a war Israel started. With that being said, any peace agreement means Hammas will have to radically change their views and their ability to secure Gaza - neither of which I think they are capable of doing. So lets see how the "peace" process is going in another 10 years!

Your claim that Israel started the '67 war is ablatant lie that documented history gives the proper refutation to! Don't expect to get away with your lies on this forum Geoff!
33. #31 Geoff, you are distorting history
Jake   (05.21.11)
Israel did not "start" the '67 war. The Egyptian blockade of the international waterway in the Straits of Tiran to Israeli shipping was an act of war, and Israel focused its military response on Egypt ALONE. Jordan, Syria, and Iraq entered the war and attacked Israel, when Israel was engaged in combat ONLY on the Egyptian front. Syrian and Jordanian artillery bombarded Israeli civilian communities, and their infantry crossed the pre-1949 ceasefire lines into Israeli territory. Israel gave repeated warnings to the king of Jordan to cease fire, but to no avail. The Golan Heights was not occupied until the 5th day of the 6 Day War. Rest assured, Geoff, there will be no return to the pre-1967 lines, and all the leverage that you hope will be mustered to pressure Israel into shrinking it back to those lines will be to no avail, because those lines are unacceptable to the vast majority of Israelis. And to add some 'dessert' to your 'food for thought', consider the following: If you believe that nations do not have the right to keep any territory that was occupied as a result of war, then you are living on very shaky ground in Texas.
34. Obama Way Too Polite
Mark ben Josuf ,   USA   (05.21.11)
Obama should not offer carrots or sticks. he should have had Netanyahu PNG'd yesterday. He is too polite. He didn't even have Netanyahu thrown from the building into the street as should have happened. Netanyahu has in mind no peace, no Palestine and no negotiations. He treated his most important ally like dirt yesterday. The favor was not returned, but should have been, in spades.
35. Obama is destructive and vengeful
art ,   jersey city usa   (05.22.11)
Obama has supported the saudi plan and will have the un impose it. He has intentionally with malice aforethought, violated ALL US guarantees understandings and agreements. He has intentionally released the pa from any oslo obligations. He has proven that the US can NEVER be trusted
