31. Mr. Haymond, I agree with you wholeheartedly
Israeli 2   (05.20.11)
32. No. 3,6,7,9, you sound kind of pathetic
Marco ,   Spain   (05.20.11)
Bibi's clear language speaking without teleprompters demolished all your cockiness. That pitiful Muslim next to him will not last for long among the living.
33. Congartulations to Bibi!
David M.   (05.20.11)
It is commending that Bibi was so direct. It's important for the world to understand where Israel and Jews stand and what our red lines are. Playing Obama's game only endangers Israeli security and misleads those who wish to destroy the country.
34. "Indefensible"
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (05.20.11)
What is indefensible, historically, morally, politically, and theologically is the existence of the Zionist state called Israel itself. If its leaders truly want peace, they will work to restore, with certain adjustments, the status quo ante Nov. 29, 1947, with perhaps a UN Trusteeship instead of the former British Mandate. That is the only key to peace.
35. Netanyahu’s finest hour.
Mladen Andrijasevic ,   Be'er Sheva, Israel   (05.20.11)
Netanyahu was brilliant. In a short speech he managed to explain everything. Why it is impossible to return to the pre 1967 borders. Why Israel will not negotiate with Hamas who shoot rockets at yellow school buses and mourn the killing of bin Laden. He just taught Obama the pupil a history lesson . What an event! He was addressing the American people.
36. #5: You seem confused? Did you mean Hilary?
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (05.20.11)
The only embarrassment to the Jewish people is Sir Gerald Kaufman MP in YOUR Parliament! Except for you TB I don't see the word Livni on this page! Go fix up you mess at home and let us fix our and remember you PM Cameron called Gaza a "prison", kissed the b*tt of the Turkish PM and is in a coalition with a viciously anti-Semitic party! Actually, the whole bloody mess in most of the world was created by Imperialist Britain!
37. #7 Arab aggression behind 1967 war
Menachem ,   Israel   (05.20.11)
Egypt under Nasser led the Arab aggression against Israel in 1967 with the explicit goal of wiping the Jewish state off the map. The Arabs lost so get over it and stop whining. Self-determination is a universal concept which includes Jewish national independence and not only Arab self-determination.
38. Where is Ynet's coverage
CC   (05.20.11)
of the pro-Israel anti-Obama, anti-clinton, anto-State Dept "Emergency Coalition for Israel" demo protest before the Israel Consulate in New York? To embarrassed by it Yedioth to report??
39. We all know what's next
Ussishkin ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (05.20.11)
Bibi's attempt at gravitas whilst lecturing the President of the USA will be his warm up to his Congress speech where he thinks he's in better control and he'll just be Bibi the uninspiring uncharismatic waste of space, in love with words, sounding like a Beitar Youth movement madrich, vacuous and holding on to his own status quo, but not ours and in the end his clever words and delaying antics will lead us to more war and bloodshed and no future for our children except more of the same. Kol HaKavod Bibi, shame on you and shame for us all. Sooner he's gone the better for us all.
40. #7 Really? When did he say that?
Phil ,   Ireland   (05.20.11)
Your "observation" lacks any crediibility considering it is internationally recognised that the war was started by Egypt and Syria.
41. #9 Yes Nour, No-State
Phil ,   Ireland   (05.20.11)
Borders based on the 1967 Green Line are indefensible. It was internationally recognised as such by drafters of UN Resolution 242 which is why they did not require Israel to withdraw fully to the Green Line.
42. Netanyahu gave a most impressive performance.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (05.20.11)
While I frequently criticize PM Netanyahu & don't agree on many of his policies, especially his acceptance of a Palestinian state, I have to say that my respect for our PM went up considerably after seeing the joint press conference with Obama. PM Netanyahu handled himself admirably, we should be proud to have such an eloquent & statesmanlike spokesman. PM Netanyahu was like a professor lecturing a slow student. He was diplomatic but direct. His comparison that Hamas was the equivalant of Al-Qaeda was a master-stroke. I think he made an excellent impression on the American public.
43. Fox news poll: 89,31 % say that Israel
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.20.11)
should NOT pull back to the lines of 67... >>>a brand new poll<<<
44. bibi obama
golan ,   usa   (05.20.11)
bibi was moore than good .bibi tooke the floor .he missed 2 points israel needed to be recognize as a jewish state and jerusalem will never be divided i will give him an A+i hope after this meeting livni will twice before to say anything about bibi back to 67 borders will put the jewish state in death raw without appel good bless israel
45. Maybe USA should go back to 1820 borders
Jake ,   USA   (05.20.11)
Mr. Obama, give back the US land conquered from the Indians, before lecturing Israel on whether they should cede their ancestral heartland to terrorists, you hypocritical monster.
46. Take the Obama plan & start negotiating peace.
Michael ,   California, USA   (05.20.11)
The settlers will have to retreat or move to Jordan/Palestine. The writing was on the wall always. Stop fooling yourselves and cease sacrificing additional lives, Israel.
47. There's an issue of paramount importance here
Gobbo   (05.20.11)
And that issue is: Obama must be defeated in 2012! Whatever Netanyahu says and does between now and the 2012 election should help contribute to Obama's downfall. That means NOT going along with any of Obama's plans. If Bibi can help make Obama look ineffectual and even reckless with respect to Middle East policy, he can help the American electorate lose faith in Obama's abilities, a faith which was unfortunately boosted when the Navy Seals killed bin Laden at Obama's command. Between now and the 2012 election, Americans must come to view Obama as a misguided, amateurish and failed leader. Bibi must help in that effort, and in the effort to convert American Jews and others into anti-Obama voters. Obama is cocky these days, riding high because of the hit on bin Laden. Bibi should take advantage of that cockiness and help make Obama trip over his own arrogance. Ousting Obama is of paramount importance.
48. Kol Hakavod
Abu Yuseff al Yahudi ,   Bue_Aires_Argentina   (05.20.11)
Kol Hakavod to Bibi ! He has expressed eloquently the wish of the world's Jewry, to the traitor, the current POTUS, Hussein Barack Obama. For the first time since a couple of years, we the Jewish People in the Galuth strongly agree with Bibi ! Hajak u Baruch to the Israel's P.M. NO ONE CENTIMETER OF JEWISH LAND TO THE FAKESTINIANS ! YOUR COUNTRY IS JORDAN - AND YES, JORDAN IS PALESTINE - AM ISRAEL CHAI - LE ORECH IAMIM
49. Jordan is the 'palestinian" state.
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.20.11)
50. #9
IZL   (05.20.11)
Were you armed with the weapons you have today back in 1967? Did you not embark on multiple wars before 1967? Why should we give you back anything Nour? Was there not aggression before 1967 borders? What's so magical about 1967 borders for Palestinians? If the pre-67 did not bring about peace then, why now all of a sudden will it bring about peace?
51. Response to Jamal from Jordan. Post#23
Dan Kelso   (05.20.11)
Maybe you forget, when Arafat tried to overthrow King Hussein's goverment, Hussein killed 20,000 Palestinians in one week. Read the great article, the day Arafat was offered power.
52. Mr. Prime Minister I also congratulate you on your
Rachel ,   Refugee   (05.21.11)
eloquent speech to Obam and to the americans & to the PA. You explained true reality of what's on the ground. Now it is time Arabs/PA realize they nust absorbe their arab refugees as Israel aborbed Jewish refugees.
53. observer Egypt
Rachel ,   USA   (05.21.11)
It was the arabs that incited the wars not Israel. Be thankfull that you got the Sinai back. - So dont' say Israel fought to grab land - you must be an ignorant. Mr. Netanyhu was very realistic and told the truth. Now it is up to PA to make peace like Egypt and Jordan did.
54. to nr. 49.
justice for all ,   world/planet earth   (05.21.11)
"israel" and jordan are both the palestinian state/palestine, peroid.
55. to nr. 10.
justice for all ,   world/planet earth   (05.21.11)
if "israel" has to defend itself against the us it has also to refuse further us (financial/military) aid in order to become really independant from any other country in this world. much success!
56. #7 Blind with Eyes Wide Shut
solomon ,   bklyn   (05.21.11)
Observer, observer, will you ever learn? I guess not, as you refuse to READ. 1. READ UN rules on determination. You will find Hamas lacking in some of the basic requirements. And a terrorist group that is unwilling to talk about peace is NOT eligible for this part of the UN Charter (if any)! 2. READ some history. " Israel fought in 67 in order to grab land not to defend against attack." Hilarious. One of the most ridiculous statements you have every made. You should get an award.
57. BEWARE OF THE SECRET MUSLIM OBAMA !
Wingate 2   (05.21.11)
58. USA will pay very heavy price for its way of treating Israel
Wingate 2   (05.21.11)
Woe, woe to you USA - '' He who curses Israel will be cursed'' says the one and only God! No more '' God bless America'' - God is going to curse you , because the US government is selling out Israel to its enemies ( common US-policy )
59. To N 1 and others.
Luiz Felipe Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (05.21.11)
Dear Yoel Reuben. As a friend of Israel, I endorse your Prime Minister's refusal to accept 1967's borders. In fact, they must be redrawed because the Jewish State was attacked and has won several wars, and because they are not secure. But the conflict with Arab Palestine has to be solved through a honoured agreement for the two peoples. Nevertheless, of course, nothing done if Israel's existence, and sovereignty, are denied, again, by her neighbors. It will be necessary, in my modest opinion, a more strong democratic Cabinet in Jerusalem, formed by Likud, Kadima, Labour and other no extremist political parties. Remember United Kingdom during II World's War. God bless you all.
60. #36. You are a riot. Probably a Kadima one which will
Harry Wright ,   UK   (05.21.11)
explain your anger. I am so happy to rile you up like that.
