1. Benefits to encourage more children
Alexey ,   Haifa   (05.24.11)
Hahaha!!! Are they keeping us for idiots? What benefits??? Swimming pool in Tehnion, Haifa began taking money for 2-years-old children - do they mean benefits like this?
2. We should encourage 3-4 children families
Ze'ev ,   Lod   (05.24.11)
And discourage more than 5-6 children. The point is that most even secular Jews think of 3 children as a norm. By discouraging very large families we'll discourage Haredi and Arab populations from growing too fast without developing a proper infrastructure to handle that growth.
3. Population
Yves ,   Israe   (05.25.11)
What's wrong with this article? It is PR for the book and the writer with no critical review or opinion. What about about the danger of Arab and Jewish orthodox population growth turning this country into Israelstan in 30 years? Isn't any one concerned?
4. Seculars Running Scared Sorry too Late
SecularDisaster ,   china and israel   (05.25.11)
Now that the fundementalist secular leaders see their "ideal society" ideals were stupid and led to what amounts to a demographic earhquake in favor of Orthodox Jews and Moslems they suddenly do an about face well its too late I'm afraid & time to pay for your sins of misleading millions of Jews into leading an extreme zero birth rate and destructive lifestyle in general.
5. Demographics
Gene Graczyk ,   Santa Rosa, CA USA   (05.25.11)
My hope is that this book will enter hard facts into the often delusional argument raging in Israel and abroad over the place the Haredim have in Israeli politics and foreign policy. This problem is clearly for Israel to solve but it is increasingly plain that it IS a problem. Who will pay for the additional children's education, healthcare, and, in many cases, inculturation into Israeli society? If the Israeli economy is as solid as claimed and as fairly distributed as claimed, what is the problem? Why so few children outside of the Haredim? And when these new lives enter Israeli society, what wil they contribute to the common good? Perhaps this impressive and most welcome study can provide some guidance.
