Great speech! Bravo!! Aipac...BRAVO!!
2. I hope his speech to Congress would
Israeli 2   (05.24.11)
be much more substantive.
3. The major problem in the Mid-East .....
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (05.24.11)
And the entire world, is Islam. This totalitarian ideology has brought conflict, intolerance, intellectual stagnation, & oppression everywhere. It has eliminated ethnic groups, ancient cultures & languages, to enforce a mindless conformity. It is the antithesis of freedom & progress. Look around you, the evidence is right before your eyes.
4. Bibi..rude??
Mark ,   USA   (05.24.11)
Some leftists and their air-headed journalists have come out and chastised Bibi for being rude to Obama in the OvalOffice. Pllleeeeze..spare me your biased and infantile BS! Obama deserves much worse and Bibi was too restrained for my taste. What a lot of nerve on Obama's part. Gene Simmons had it right...check out his interview.
5. I love Bibi Netanyahu.
Linda ,   Israel   (05.24.11)
Great man! Great speech!

7. #3 - terry: lets assume, islam was "gone"...
eporue ,   europe   (05.24.11)
what then would be the "major problem in the mid-east" - or the "entire world" ? or shorter: whats the 2nd major problem... im just curious...
8. Thank you
Marianne ,   Australia   (05.24.11)
Great speech, thank you. Marianne
9. This loser Netanyahu's days are numbered.....
Cali Cal ,   Los Angeles   (05.24.11)
His coalition is toast. At the end of the day any Israeli PM will withdraw from 98 percent of the West Bank and East Jerusalem and will accept a token amount of refugees. Any one who believes that this is not the case needs to get their head examined for delusions.
10. To: No. 6
(05.24.11)
“'Israel’s not what’s wrong with the Middle East. Israel is what’s right about the Middle East,'” he said to the cheering audience. "'Support for Israel does not divide America, it unites America...'" What part of the words "CHEERING AUDIENCE" do you NOT understand?
11. thank you AIPAC
AM ISRAEL   (05.24.11)
12. Message from a great US president..
Roscio ,   Rome, Italy   (05.24.11)
Israel was not created in order to disappear - Israel will endure and flourish. It is the child of hope and the home of the brave. It can neither be broken by adversity nor demoralized by success. It carries the shield of democracy and it honors the sword of freedom. - John F. Kennedy These are the words of a great president, who knew how to honor another great democracy.
13. so who is the troubles maker in the middle east??
Westbanker ,   West Bank   (05.24.11)
14. security and democracy for expellees?
Patriot ,   Israel   (05.24.11)
There certainly couldn't be protests by Jews in Gaza as they did at the AIPAC meeting - that's because Bibi voted for the expulsion of Gush Katif's Jews from Gaza. How many will be expelled from Judea and Samaria if Bibi's "two state solution" is carried out?
15. The main theme
Alexandre Chinovich   (05.24.11)
He speaks nothing on Jerusalem. Does it mean that he is ready to divide it? Don't touch Jerusalem, Bibi!
16. Freedom for all faith
(05.24.11)
Bibi is not saying the truth. Residents of Westbank & Gaza Christiant & Muslems are not allowed to pray in Jerusalem
17. #7 eporue, europe.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (05.24.11)
Suggest you read an excellent article by Spengler in the Asia Times Online, ''Israel As Middle-Eastern Hegemon.'' in which he analyses demographic trends in the region. Re: your question, falling birthrates in Muslim countries (Iran, Turkey & others) will turn much of the Middle-East into a poverty stricken geriatric ward, exception made for Israel. Of major consideration is that the various Arab countries are unable to feed themselves & higher food prices will accelerate instability, Egypt being the best example. Of course, being in Europe, you should know all about demographic decline.
18. #6 eporue, europe. Re: protests.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (05.24.11)
The protests were by members of Code Pink, the looney-left wackos of questionable mental equilibrium. I read elsewhere that Netanyahu in fact was cheered, far more than Obama who received a polite response. Mr Cantor also received a very enthusiastic response. If you're not familiar with Code Pink & their antics, I suggest you google them & see for yourself.
19. to #7 the economy and energy sources duh
ghostq   (05.24.11)
oil isn't enough to make stable market or reliable energy source, Big need to find friendlier energy sources otherwise people will go back to donkeys oil is very limiting and polutig.
20. Israel US's major problem in mideast
TJ ,   Kansas City, USA   (05.24.11)
As the Jewish lobby dictates US policies in the mideast to serve Israeli interests and greatly damage US interest, not to mention the billions of $ that Israel sucks from US tax payers every year. Money that can create million of jobs in the US and save thousands of homes from foreclosures. Simple: Prior to Israel's occupation of Palestine, US has no enemies or problems in the mideast.
21. to Cali Cal 9
john Darren ,   cairns-Australia   (05.24.11)
You are an idiot.
22. To #7 Eporue
Ari ,   USA/Israel   (05.24.11)
The 2nd major problem is anti-semitism in the European, and the faulty gene that produces and facilitates its occurrence in their mother's milk, resulting in the nourishment of such a sad mental illness.
23. #9 The question is : will this happen in your lifetime?
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (05.24.11)
Seeing that no Palestinian has yet to agree to this most generous of offers. As long as Palis keep rejecting, Israel doesn't have to worry about giving up anything. By the way, do losers always speak to both houses of Congress?
24. To: No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.24.11)
The major problem in the Middle East is the preponderance of ruthless and tyrannical Arab regimes. The second major problem in the Middle East is radical fundamentalist Islam and its declared state of "jihad" against the west. The third major problem in the Middle East are the ersatz "Palestinians" and other groups who espouse terror. Do you really think that anyone would pay any attention were it not for the fact that so many of these fundamentalist and fascist regimes sit on most of the world's known reserves of oil? By the way -- please tell me what role Israel plays in the ongoing Shia/Sunni violence in Iraq. What role does Israel play in the civil unrest in Libya? In Syria? In Yemen? In Tunisia? In Egypt? In Bahrain? In Jordan? How does Israel factor into the ongoing violence in Iraq? In Afghanistan? In Waziristan? What role does Israel play in the resurgence of the Taliban? You are quite the fool. Except for a handful of paid-for half-hearted demonstrations in Cairo (the Moslem Brotherhood has been paying people to turn out and demonstrate against Israel), the ersatz "Palestinians" have not been so much as a blip on the radar in any of the protests sweeping through the Arab and Islamic world. They are old news. Keep drinking the Kool Aid. Your hatred of Jews and of the State of Israel has completely blinded you to the truth. More fool you.
25. To: No. 16
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.24.11)
That's just not true. Tons of Christians from the West Bank descended upon Jerusalem at Easter; I know because I was there and I saw it. The Waqf controls who can and cannot pray at Al Aqsa and other mosques. All Israel does in times of Arab violence is control the ages of people allowed into Jerusalem, and even those controls are quite rare and are the direct result of ersatz "Palestinian" demonstrations and acts of aggression. That said -- how many Jews were allowed to pray at the Western Wall between 1948 and 1967? Answer that!
26. The occupiers are the Palestinians!
David ,   USA   (05.24.11)
The "real occupiers" are the so-called Palestinians, if there is such a thing because they are & were Jordanians & Bedouins from Arabia who wondered into Israeli lands for better life, as they are doing now, from Sudan and elsewhere. They know all their countries are hopeless. There is hunger, poverty, violence & harsh dictatorships. Thank you, Arabs, the Jews have had enough of your B.S. We escaped or fled for our lives from all the Mideastern lands because your Islam does not tolerate anyone, certainly not Jews or Christians. You are experts at suicide, bombings torching churches and synagogues. Who would want to live with you? Think about what you have to offer.
27. The reason for problems in the ME?
IlanaB   (05.24.11)
Quite simple-ISLAM. More muslims kill muslims than anyone else anywhere currently especially. And West Bank and Gaza are not Israel so they can't pray in Jerusalem-unless of course you want them to become a part of Israel. I want the west bank to. Great idea. Then they can pray freely. Silly you.
28. "Israel is what’s right about Middle East" SO RIGHT BIBI!!!
Talula ,   Israel   (05.24.11)
It's not our problem that Arabs are killing each other for a better democratic country - we are a shining example of democracy - we are the civilised over here.
29. What indefensible?
tobzi ,   Any City - World   (05.24.11)
From that INDEFENSIBLE border 1967 ISRAEL was able to CRUSH the armies of Egypt, Jordan and Syria "plus parts of Lebanon" And From the INDEFENSIBLE border of 1948 ISRAEL was able to CRUSH the armies of ALL arab states COMBINED
30. Be brave to go for peace.
KH ,   Palestine   (05.24.11)
When the moment will come when Israel takes the courage to give up the others land. Occupation doesn't match Democracy and Israel can't combine the two attributes together. Also, Israel's claim that freedom is given to the people has become an appearant lie to everybody across the globe.
