64. Scottish Religious Hatrest Is Rampant
Martin ,   Glasgow, Scotland   (05.24.11)
Scotland has decades of religious hatred between Catholic and Protestants - just look at their Rangers and Celtic football clubs where they routinely shout hatred and attack each other. It is no surprise that the new SNP government extends their hatred to Jews - it is a typical Scottish behaviour. Soon they will want to have Jews wear a yellow star to make it easier for people to know who to hate and blame for their countrys decline into poverty and obscurity when the SNP independence policies destroy the economy.
65. Scottish boycott
Benjamin ,   Greenville   (05.24.11)
The Scots are using "a special mark on Israeli products, in order to make them easily identifiable." What is next? Are they going to require Jews to wear a "special mark" to make them identifiable? I suggest we boycott products from Scotland and England in general.
66. Hey Scots, beware
Grimsvotn ,   Iceland   (05.24.11)

67. #1 Why boycott those who do honest work?
Ilan ,   Ariel   (05.24.11)
A counter boycott of Scottish goods would only hurt those who actually contribute to society and not these layabout politicians who only work to sow dissent.

Rabbi Reuven Carmel excellent and very humorous point.
71. Boycotts
Max ,   Washington DC   (05.24.11)
Boycotts can be a double edged sword as many Americans who support Israel may choose to Boycott Scottish products in return.
72. #56
Intedi Nensak ,   Stockholm   (05.24.11)
Sweden is a lot older than 60 years old, so yes we have lots of history. It was not an israeli who wrote the bible, a jew did in an ancient nation that does not exist anymore. If you think Sweden is becoming an islamic state you must be terrified over your own country that has WAY more muslims than mine.
73. But you won'y boycott out technology which is in everything

The average Swedish woman makes about 1.4 kids, the average Jewish Israeli woman makes about 2.7 The average Muslim Woman makes about 3-4 kids.

Why do Scotts wear kilts? . . . . . Cause a sheep can hear a zipper a mile a way!
81. To: No. 51
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.24.11)
Actually, I believe that he New Testament is responsible for most of the suffering. Subsequent publications merely fanned the flames.
82. To: No. 72
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.24.11)
A Jew from the Kingdom of Israel wrote down what had already been an oral history for at least two millennia. Let me put it in a way simple enough for even you to understand: When Jews were writing down the Bible, your people were painting their faces blue and howling at the moon. Please keep that in mind.
83. To: Eaglebeak at No. 68
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.24.11)
@--->--->--- Thank you very much!
84. Gee Whiz !
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (05.24.11)
I will have to reconsider my contemplated purchase of a Scottish Kilt that I wasn't thinking of buying in the first place Now I know why the Scots wear Kilts, they're been dominated by England for so long, that they no longer have balls

86. Since when turks occupied kurdistan?
to marcia ,   istanbul   (05.24.11)
Have you ever read a single book on world history? Do you know where kurdistan is? Do you know the history of ottomans? seljuk turks? Anatolia and "Kurdistan" is under turkish rule for a thousand year. You know nothing about history, but your math is bad either. "killing 2000 peaple every day" is only possible for mighty american army.
87. # 72 Intedi
israeli ,   Moshavnic   (05.24.11)
Listen child, for the last time, Israelis lived in Israel for thousands of years. Just because the Romans changed the name to palestine does not change anything, it is still Israel. The 60 years that ignoramus like you are talking about is when we have decided not to take any more BS from Nazi lovers such as your "nation" and we have decided to look after ourselves in our own country.....it is not a new country.....it continues as before but this time we are looking after ourseves.....capish? So what a re you saying that we are worse off because we have more arabs in Israel then in Swededn???? so a country with lots of arabs is a bad country??? is that what you are saying??? you are more racist then then I thought and a moron to boot......I can't talk to you any more, I need to grow tomatoes, they are more intelligent then you.
88. Misplaced anger
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (05.24.11)
I think that a lot of Talkbackers are angry at the wrong people. Most Scots aren't involved in this decision, so why mock Scots and Scotland? A tiny group of people in a small city (smaller than Holon, a bit bigger than Bat Yam) managed to pass a decision that Israeli goods should be marked. Previous such efforts (most notably by the Shalom Achshav group) led to more Israeli products being sold. But why blame these people? If you want to be anger, remember these people are following the lead of Jewish Israelis (including Oz and Grossman) who call for boycotting Israel, who condemn the IDF and who think that Israeli leaders are war criminals. I for one will buy another bottle of scotch to drink with my Scottish salmon.
89. Prima Noctra
Darren ,   Rishon Lezion   (05.24.11)
Being from Glasgow, I must say I am not surprised! With homegrown politicians like George Galloway etc, this was going to happen. The thing is, the scot's are so ignorant. They believe anything they read! Try discussing the situation here in Israel and they know nothing, only that we kill, mame and murder innocents every day! Thank g-d i made Aliya! I say bring back Prima Noctra!
90. This truly shows how anti-Semitic these people are
EST ,   Miami USA   (05.24.11)
".,.Bennie admitted that Israel is the only country being boycotted by the council, adding that the municipality had no intention of issuing a ban on products originating from Iran, Syria or Libya. " It is definitely NOT a concern for human rights and human beings that prompted this gorging on anti-Semitic hatred that this community feels...Sick anti-Semites...
