1. Flotilla
Gabe Yakmore ,   Canada   (05.31.11)
They will look rather stupid with their propellers jammed with old fishing nets and their rudders disabled. Bon voyage !
2. SEND turkey THE BILL FOR ALL THE IDF TRAINING!
jonathan ,   london/ israel   (05.31.11)
3. just a little word
ale ,   italia   (05.31.11)
"naval forces will not hesitate to stop vessels trying to violate maritime ILLEGAL siege on Strip " obiously ILLEGAL 4 all the world (goim), not illegal for heroes....
4. #3 Ali. The only thing that is illegal is the
Harry Wright ,   UK   (05.31.11)
flotilla's attempt to breach a legal blockade. Everything else is perfectly legal. You are quite delusional.
5. #3 you're not as dumb as you sound.
(05.31.11)
6. #3: blockade, not a siege.
Omri ,   USA   (05.31.11)
If you want to understand what a siege is, look at Misurata
7. Where Obama stands
Maurice ,   Montreal   (05.31.11)
Obama has not so far stated that another Mavi Marmara flotilla represents nothing but provocation specially now that the Rafah crossing is opened. The Canadian government has clearly stated that. Why isn't Obama stating this as well? Doesn't this show his true colors?
8. Too much trouble and expense
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.31.11)
Issue one command to turn about or to heave to; if that is ignored, one missile fired as a warning. One more verbal command to turn about or to heave to, and if that is ignored, one missile amidships. Nothing says "Israel will thwart any attempt to breach a fully legal and internationally recognized blockade" like a sunk would-be blockade runner. Heaven knows Israel has said it often enough; not Israel's fault if the terrorist scum and their supporters choose not to believe. If any deaths ensue; that would be largely the fault of IHH and the Turkish government, for having underwritten and encouraged the flotilla, and for having allowed access to Turkish ports as an embarkation point and to Turkish port facilities. Aiding and abetting a terrorist inspired venture is really not a wise move on the part of Turkey, but it looks like they are fated to learn that the hard way.
9. No.3, incorrect quote, you must have picked up from Jihadis
Marco ,   Spain   (05.31.11)
After reading their websites one easily descends into insanity, and you are no exception.
10. OY VEY! BOARD AGAIN? Disable the ship and let it be towed
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (05.31.11)
back to turkey with any more that want to screw with Israel. Good grief Charlie Brown, no more boardings, who is planning this Shimon Peres?
11. This time, if they resist, seize the vessels.
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (05.31.11)
This blockade, as all unbiased observers have acknowledged, is entirely legal. International law also allows vessels attempting to run a blockade to be seized EVEN IN INTERNATIONAL WATERS once the vessels have made clear their attempt to breach that blockade. It's unfortunate Israel gained no guarantee that the Mavi Marmara would not in the future be used to run the blockade. Now it's back for another try. If they resist, seize the vessel; do not return it again. There must be a price for such aggression.

14. Same idiots, different day...
Baruch ,   Marin County, CA   (05.31.11)
Weren't the people these idiots are supposedly going to help the same people who, after being "released" to cross into Egypt, promptly high-tailed it back to Gaza and said no thanks? If people really wanted to help Arabs, then they should go to Egypt and provide food. Talk about a disaster of epic proportions. But of course, it's all about PR these days - nothing more, nothing less.
15. #8
Dino Domingo ,   Vancouver, Canada   (05.31.11)
you would kill people on a non military ship without any weapons that could hurt Israeli civilians? stop the darn boat, arrest every single person with every inch of the law BUT fire at a non military ship? you are sick!
16. TURKEY IS TRYING HARD
American ,   Los Angeles   (05.31.11)
to start a millitary confrontation with Israel.. Islamofascist in turkey could ignite a war that can cost them loosing their membership in NATO and sanctions from the civilized world.
17. a few facts
yaniv ,   Haifa, Israel   (05.31.11)
a. It is a leagle siege!! b. im not sure u can even call it a siege Gaza has a limit only on the border with Israel, that their gov sworn to destroy ( is that really surprising??). their border with Egypt is now opened.
18. To: Maurice at No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.31.11)
Yes. It surely does. He is also evidently too stupid to have noticed that, with the exception of Turkey, not every single nation with ports on the Mediterranean has categorically refused to allow vessels planning to sail in the flotilla to berth. Even suspect vesels -- those who have said they are not planning to join the flotilla but have not been able to provide justification for berthing or who are simply not credible -- have been denied entry. Some weeks ago, the United States Congress called upon Turkey to work to discourage the flotilla from sailing. Turkey has done the precise opposite. This flotilla will end very badly for Turkey, and even worse for Mr. Obama.
19. #3 - "heroes"??
William ,   Israel   (05.31.11)
Is that what you call self-proclaimed shahids bringing expired medicine to a terrorist enclave who has a daily list of war crimes it commits against civilians on both sides? You have a rather low threshold for who you label a "hero".
20. #13 - in that case, capture the boats....
William ,   Israel   (05.31.11)
bring them to Ashdod and hold an auction the very next day after the ships are inspected. Build a make-shift prison for these "1000 souls" and interrogate each one heavily. Display all weapons and contraband on board....and there will be weapons and contraband, mark my words. Then announce whatever legal precedents and statutes that allow such a response, and tell the world the rights of a sovereign nation will not be trumped by the emotional and oft racist rhetoric of our detractors. After doing an investigation, submit claims against nations, NGOs, and other bodies that supported this action, and a UN resolution condemning such needless provocation which Ban sort of admitted to recently.
21. Flotilla
Yoel ,   ossining, NY   (05.31.11)
#20, William has the right idea. Seize the ships and conduct an auction the next day. There won't be anymore flotillas after that. I would use one ship to take the passengers back to Turkey.
22. To: No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.31.11)
One person's "sick" is another person's "law abiding." Israel's maritime embargo of the Strip is fully legal and internationally recognized. Any attempt to breach the blockade is therefore illegal. I do not condone illegal activity. Evidently you do, or is it just in the case of Israel that you develop such heightened "sensitivity?" Would you like me to recount the numerous instances wherein the Canadian Coast Guard fired on foreign fishing vessels (mainly Chinese) that refused orders to turn around after they had entered Canadian waters illegally? Did that "sicken" you, too? I didn't think so. You're just a hypocrite.
23. #22
Dino Domingo ,   Vancouver, Canada   (06.01.11)
when people use the term "Jewish Propaganda" this is exactly what they mean...people like you! where in my post do you see me displaying "heightened sensitivity" in the case of Israel? How can you defend your comment of "one missile amidships" and consider that to be law abiding? you insinuate i condone illegal activity but yet i clearly stated "stop the darn boat, arrest every single person with every inch of the law BUT fire at a non military ship?" you are a lying propaganda junkie! zero credibility! incredible how people get sucked into your trash...the only thing you have going for yourself is your grammar...the rest is lies, disrespectful/disgusting comments, deceit, no honor...
24. #23 - You wouldn't know what honor is if you'd stumble over
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (06.01.11)
one..
25. #16- Turkey and NATO membership
Ibrahim ,   Turkey   (06.01.11)
Turkey was on the brink of war with fellow NATO member Greece and it did not loose its membership in NATO. Turkey is strategically important for NATO as it is the leader of the Islamic world (last holder of the Caliphate). There are 300 million ethnic Turkic people scattered all around the world and 1.6 billion muslims all looking towards Ankara for guidance.
26. gaza flotilla
Richard J ,   Vancouver,Canada   (06.01.11)
How much time will it take, before these people learn? They will never prevail!

john Darren ,   cairns-Australia   (06.01.11)
Read the first 3 lines of post 8 again-but slowly. That is the correct procedure to stop a would be blockade runner. Your last paragraph is total slander and certainly does not apply to Sarah B. I shall be very polite and describe what you are-you are a burqa wearing wanker.Go visit your goat.
28. #23..domingo.. You have no credibility, just hatred, deceit
Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (06.01.11)
#23.. domingo accuses Sarah of being " sick " for stating her views. He also states that people like Sarah uses her facts as "Jewish Propaganda ". Your hatred is showing Domingo.
29. #23..dino says people like Sarah use "Jewish Propaganda"
Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (06.01.11)
#23..Domingo - you are a deceitful ignorant disgusting person, lacking any decency or honesty. You show no respect or honor, just true hatred and deceit .
30. #25.ibrahim..Turkey kils Armenians, Kurds, hostile to Greece
Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (06.01.11)
Turkey kills Armenians, kill Kurds, close to war with Greece and now violent towards Israel. Turkey is again playing with fire. This is not showing any smart leadership.
