It's evident that Hartman uses old adjectives and adverbs to spin the JStreet and American Reform Movement " barf barf" on the subject of the "Israel I Love You" . Please Donniel educate me on the new Zionist spirit!
32. #19 very wrong analysis
Ilan ,   Ariel   (06.02.11)
If you see a parallelism with South Africa then you are living in the wrong country. People should not have to forfeit their homes because of foolish weak people's misplaced hopes. Even if we were to accept the partition proposal lines there would not be peace. The Arabs have never been coy about their goals.
33. Israel's Future
julius ,   meller   (06.02.11)
The rabbi has forgotten one preliminary before placing the onus on Israel to present any plan for negotiations. There cannot be any agreement until Palestinians recognise Israel as a Jewish Homeland with security. Otherwise nothing that is said or not said can be meaningful or durable. To do otherwise is to play games. JM

Whose idea was it to publish this unadulterated nonsense. The author is not satisfied with one terrorist state he wants two arab terrorist states. Let him go live in one of those terrorist states.
35. time is on our sidew. all others livini etc are wrong, but o

only if we act smartly.
36. Dust is not settled here. Concerned Americans..
Sue ,   Los Angeles   (06.03.11)
Jews and Christians, are talking about ways to support Israel in the wake of Obama's hostile call for a return to the '67 borders. Letters and petitions supporting Israel are being sent to Congress and the White House. Groups are organizing mission trips to Israel this summer. Many Jewish Americans who voted for Obama are saying they will not do so again in 2012.
37. time is indeed on your side
henry123 ,   Waterloo, Canada   (06.03.11)
In fact, time is indeed on your side. The last year has seen an enormous amount of gas/shale-oil being discovered. Both Israel and the Western world will hopefully be freed from the dependence on mideast oil. When that happens we should see the mass media pay more attention to the thousands of refugees/deaths in e.g. Sudan than in the ME. Also ... why stop settlements? Settlements should stop once the neighbouring countries allow Jews to be citizens. If Jews were allowed to live in the West Bank as they are allowed to live in all civilized countries then there would be no need for settlements. It is not Israel that needs to be criticized for the need for settlements - quite the reverse.

1948, 1967, the fact that Israel exists at all and has won 6 wars should tell you something. All you need to do is open your eyes (and your heart) and look around you to know that God is and always will be with Israel.
39. won all wars ??
waleed ,   Cairo, Egypt   (06.03.11)
country won all wars ?? which country are you talkin about ?? u need to re-study your history lessons. on what basis do u think did the so called "israeli state" fall back after occupying sinai ??? out of it's kindness and generosity ?? doubtful..!! as israel is and always has been a war zone...they would "kill 'em all" if they could. israel had fallen back after it's undeniable defeat to Eygpt on 73. so don't give me all that won all wars non sense. israel isn't a state of peace..it's a country that was founded by gun powder..living it's everyday life by gun powder...it's a country where all citizens are military ...it's a country that gonna vanish soon by gunpowder so help me God
40. "Time is not on our side"
David ,   Beverly Hills, USA   (06.03.11)
The Arab Palestinians have never given an inch of goodwill toward Israel no matter if there is a Palestinian State or not. They have stated they will remain opposed to recognizing Israel as the Jewish State and their textbooks teach hate of the Jews History should teach the Israelis is not peace at all. Look at what happened when they left Gaza as well as the Egyptians slowly but surely tearing up that so called "Peace Treaty." This conflict is about religion and not land. Therefore, there should be no reason to compromise any of Israel's lands, especially with the fallacious notion that "Land for Peace" will make them like us better.
41. Q. Whose Side is Hartman On?
Dan ,   USA   (06.04.11)
A. Capitulation and chasing a fantasy, even if it kills him.
42. #39. Start another war and lose everything.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.04.11)
#39 Waleed. You sound like you're itching for another war with Israel. Keep in mind the fact that Israel didn't have to cede the Sinai. Israel did so voluntarily out of badly misplaced goodwill. If Egypt starts another war with Israel, you will never be getting back any of the land Israel liberates. You will lose everything.

44. Enough of this leftist nonsense
Trumpeldor   (06.04.11)
Since this conflict is based on islam theology, changes must occur in minds first, not in "bold moves" !
45. Why do so many Israelis spout the rhetoric ...
Jon ,   Baltimore US   (06.05.11)
that we cannot make peace with people that hate us ? That is exactly who you make peace with idiots. You don't have to make peace with your friends.

I disagree, many Americans are not in support of going to war because of Israels lack of initiative and lack of leadership. Netanyahu showed his unwillingness to bend in any way. The Arab world is changing and they will not easily forget our mistakes. I for one am unwilling to pay the price for your mistakes.
