Why must Gaza be made to exist purely on humanitarian aid, and not on the product of the work and trade of its people? The US and Israel want to keep Gaza dependent on handouts, and the Palestinians of Gaza want to break free from this dependence and be masters of their own destiny. Israel fought a defensive war in 67 and the territories have been taken from Egypt and Jordan, NOT from any "palestinian authority".... There were NO settlements PRIOR to the events of 1967. Yet, ALL the Arabs - including the palis that APPEARED in 1960s - sought to ERADICATE modern Israel since its founding in 1948.
