Alf Red ,   Londonistan   (06.03.11)
Does your psychiatrist recommend to write these talkbacks as to alleviate your acute idiocy syndrom, or it is your own way to fight the brain drain?
32. so called occupied lands
Matt A ,   Philadelphia, PA   (06.03.11)
As you can all see I live in the US. I wonder if all of these other people who say that Israel should, "give back" occupied palestinian lands would be interested in giving back the "occupied territory" that they live on back to the Native Americans. But no, that's totally different. We just masacared the Native Americans, they never attacked us.
33. flotilla
mark barron ,   llandudno   (06.03.11)
the scottish don't accept england's right to exist as an 'anglo-saxon state'.To use a an english idiom Israel is 'up its own arse' There's one rule for Israel and another for the rest of the world. You need to keep thinking hamas is a terrorist organisation to salve your troubled consciences about your own state-sponsored terror over the palestinians.
34. i'm waiting for my apology letter
oren ,   israel/ NY   (06.03.11)
MY aunt dead by a suiside terrorist, all i'm asking for is to get the same treat as the palies get. BTW, turkey- stop killing kurds.
35. eric
mark barron ,   conwy   (06.03.11)
the blockade of gaza is illegal. The attack on the flotilla last year was piracy on the high seas.To lay siege to Gaza is an act of war.Your generals cannot travel abroad because war crimes have universal jurisdiction(cf.The Goldstone report).Don't talk about the rule of law.For a country set up by the UN your attitude to UN resolutions is appalling.
36. US ship with nefarious goal
Michael ,   Haifa/Washington   (06.03.11)
A message to all who accuse Israel of occupation of Gaza: Occupation by any definition means physical control AND governance of a given territory with military forces on the ground. What Israel AND Egypt conduct in concert is a blockade, not unlike the US blockade of Cuba, to keep out offensive weapons from a terrorist regime with the same avowed goal as Iran, to wipe Israel of the map by carrying out a genocide.
37. Anti-Zionists
Mychal ,   Tennessee, USA   (06.03.11)
Sorry, but if you are "against the occupation of Palestinian land" you are against the entire state of Israel. What is being called Palestine now is land that was taken from Jordan, Egypt and Syria when they wouldn't stop attacking Israel. Those people are Egyptians, Syrians or Jordanians, but not Palestinians. If you go back to the original use of the word "Palestine" to indicate an area under the British Mandate, then you are going back to a time before Israel. So if you want Israel to give up Palestinian land, you want it to cease to exist. Either you're for Israel or against it. Good Lord, I was born a Gentile and I love and support Israel than these people. Hell, my husband is still a Gentile and he is and always has been an ardent Zionist--and he knows a hell of a lot more about Israeli history than some Jews, apparently. It's a shame that some liberal, bleeding-heart weenies can gather up a few misguided Jews and use them to legitimate their position.
38. free free KURDISTAN

almost every day 200 kkurds arew being killed by turkish army. your silence= thier death.

40. dear noa
25 ,   istanbul turkey   (06.03.11)
Noone will win this is loose loose situation in the end everyone will be left with consequences of their actions flotilla people are not genuiene in my opinion cause they dont send help to other places only to palestine again ridiculus affiliation to religion as for israel she is not that diffrent than arabs with this idea of being chosen you put alot dirt on already very stupid conflict of this human created mess Einstein said he is sure of human stupidity being infinite i salute him :) and dear ynet what are u gaining by blockin my comments :)
41. Having Jews on the ship doesn't give it credibility
William ,   Israel   (06.03.11)
Israel is its own nation and just being Jewish doesn't give lend their criticism any additional credibility. During WWII, I doubt highly that Hitler would have been moved (or even let live) by a group of Americans from German descent on a flotilla to occupied Europe against the Nazis. They would be fish food and life would go on.
42. When will liberal Jews learn?
Pea ,   Ft lauderdale usa   (06.03.11)
How can Jewish people board a flotilla boat to gaza for Palastinean independence. Don't they realize that the "occupation" referred to is the entire country of israel and not just the land that Israel won from a war started by it's "neighbors". Will these liberal Jews be happy when there is no Israel and millions of Jew will be killed again? Will you then shed a tear for your fellow jews!!!!!!
43. To: No. 35
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.03.11)
Au contraire, boychik. The blockade of Gaza is fully legal and internationally recognized. Israel has a perfect right to thwart any attempts to breach its fully legal blockade. The United States imposes a blockade upon North Korea, Myanmar and Cuba. Are those acts of war? I have no recollection of any of those nations firing missiles at United States civilians, yet the U.S. maintains its maritime blockade against all three. Eight thousand missiles have been fired into Israel's civilian population centers from Gaza. So please check the facts before spouting nonsense.
44. To: No. 26
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.03.11)
My, my, my. Do the orderlies know that you sneak out of the padded room every now and again to use their computer?
45. To: No. 30
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.03.11)
1. Israel supplies Gaza with electricity. 2. Israel supplies Gaza with fresh water. 3. Israel does not permit cement and PVC into Gaza because they are used to shore up the tunnels through which Gaza smuggles weapons into the Strip. 4. Gaza has private beach clubs, nightclubs and there is no shortage of food in the groceries. Did you know that the World Health Organization has said that the worst health problem in Gaza is obesity? 5. So-called "starving" people are not generally obese. 6. The ships that are participating in the flotilla are passenger vessels. They do not have sufficient draught, deadweight and hold space to carry cargo. So let's have no more loose talk about this ridiculous Turkish venture; it has absolutely no humanitarian purpose -- it's purpose is to provoke Israel. Turkey will suffer some very, very unpleasant consequences as a result.
46. #21: What Martin Luther King said
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (06.03.11)
". . . You declare, my friend, that you do not hate the Jews, you are merely 'anti-Zionist.' And I say, let the truth ring forth from the high mountain tops, let it echo through the valleys of God's green earth: When people criticize Zionism, they mean Jews--this is God's own truth. Antisemitism, the hatred of the Jewish people, has been and remains a blot on the soul of mankind. In this we are in full agreement. So know also this: anti-Zionist is inherently antisemitic, and ever will be so." Martin Luther King. So much for the "Traditions" of Dr. King .
47. Dr. King never advocating breaking laws
William ,   Israel   (06.03.11)
nor supporting terrorists. I am appalled at self-righteous twits invoking the memory and message of Dr. King for their own selfish mis-guided goals. Dr. King was an ardent supporter of Israel and the right to self-determination by the Jewish people (Zionism). He never would have advocated breaking any law, especially intl laws governing war-time, in order to get his message across. Even he would have fully acknowledge the fallacy in supporting a flotilla to Gaza when no humanitarian crisis actually exists. His goal was to move forward the rights of a minority through understanding and coexistence, not through provoking a military standoff.
48. "we're sending a message to our own govt"
William ,   Israel   (06.03.11)
and the govt responded by sending their message regarding Israel.... numerous ovations for Bibi Netanyahu at Congress.
49. #26 - and yet, there are stores packed with goods
William ,   Israel   (06.03.11)
and somehow building materials for houses and a brand new mall - WITH MARBLE going up in Gaza. Brand new, high-end cars are popping up in Gaza and rows of flat screen TVs await delivery at a warehouse INSIDE Gaza. UN, ICRC, CNN, BBC, even a Sudanese minister have remarked that there is NO HUMANITARIAN CRISIS in Gaza. The Flotillas do not only claim goods cannot move into Gaza (and yet the goods are there) but also that people are "in a prison" which is wrong because as you said "(Rafah) allows people (to enter/leave Gaza)". You can't even keep your own racist logic together, you sap. And if Gazans don't want their kids killed....don't send them to the border carrying bombs or hide behind them after firing rockets! Don't blame Israel if Gazans don't love their own children enough to protect them.
50. #26 - I think your PM already answered you on this
William ,   Israel   (06.03.11)
I believe his words to BDS were (paraphrasing) "piss off, racist hate-mongers"
51. #30 - Israel never took Gaza water
William ,   Israel   (06.03.11)
You're an idiot. Gazans drilled over 3000 wells even though Israel warned them decades ago not to. They did it anyway and totally depleted their aquifer. Same thing is set to happen in the West Bank because the "Palestinians" refuse to actually govern properly. No PVC pipe or concrete in Gaza? What is the new mall made out of, paper mache and chewing gum?? Don't let your racism get in the way of actually educating yourself. A group of Muslim women who came from UK and Tunisia to visit Israel had the same racist beliefs you did walked away with a new found respect for Israel, its people, and its democracy. One thing that they have which you don't....a desire to learn the truth and grow.
52. take appropriate action.
David ,   America   (06.03.11)
Treat them no differently than you do the other ships. If they must be sunk, then sink them! I am one man from the US who will not mourn for them. They deserve what they get.
53. MLK
Chatich   (06.03.11)
-"Israel's right to exist as a state in security is uncontestable."-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. -"When people criticize Zionists they mean Jews, you are talking anti-Semitism."-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. -"Peace for Israel means security, and we must stand with all our might to protect its right to exist, its territorial integrity. I see Israel as one of the great outposts of democracy in the world, and a marvelous example of what can be done, how desert land can be transformed into an oasis of brotherhood and democracy. Peace for Israel means security and that security must be a reality."-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The hijacking of this Great Man's legacy in the name of knuckle-dragging antisemites and self-hating Jews, and their pursuit and abetting of genocide, goes beyond the pale. Does nobody in the US speak out against this travesty against Dr. King's very existance?
54. #33 - did you forget that Hamas declared war in 2007?
William ,   Israel   (06.03.11)
They pretty much act like a terrorist organization in that they've launched 10,000 rockets on civilians in 8 years, they hit a school bus with an anti-tank missile, and they repeatedly declare their objective to wipe Israel off the map and replace it. Now, it seems that the US and EU get the point because they also designated Hamas as a terror organization. Perhaps you'd like to discount those terrorist actions of Hamas as "mis-understood" but we're not prepared to place our children in harm's way to appease you numb-nuts. However you are very correct in stating that the world holds Israel to one set of laws and the rest of the world to another, to the bias against Israel. It's called Apartheid.
55. # 35 piracy
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (06.03.11)
mark my words ! would you consider it piracy ?.if during the siege of Japan in ww 2 the USA had sunk Turkish ships on the high seas, delievering supplies to Japan, well, that's different, the Americans are not Jews.
56. #35 - based on what is the blockade illegal?
William ,   Israel   (06.03.11)
"To lay siege on Gaza is an act of war"... yes, and in response to Hamas' public official declaration of war on Israel. Did you miss that part?? Therefore, the siege on Gaza IS LEGAL based on Intl rules of war. Based on the Geneva Convention, Israel goes beyond the basic humanitarian needs of Gaza so that's not an issue anymore, especially with a new mall and stores filled with goods. Hey - on the topic of war, let's talk about the flotilla which launched with the sole purpose of running the war-time military blockade thus making them a justified military target. This time its justified by the San Remo convention. Actually , Israel wasn't set up by UN resolution. We were "set up" through grassroots efforts to instill the Jewish human right to self-determination back in 1880 and underscored through The Balfour Declaration in 1922. The UN simply voted on a partition of our land to give even more to Arabs in 1947 - a vote the Arabs rejected, by the way. UN resolutions are neither binding nor are they definitive law, and they require adherence by both parties. UNR194 allowed for return of refugees IF they became loyal citizens and Arabs ended their aggression against Israel. Arabs refused. UNR242 called for a negotiated settlement on disputed lands resulting in 1967 war. Again, Arabs refused. UNR1701 called for disarming Hizbullah and end of aggression against Israel. again Arabs refused.
57. Those who do this want attention & to be shown appreciation
Moshe ,   Usa   (06.03.11)
& particularly recognition for standing up for a worthy cause even when that cause is not worthy at all. So in fact, they are self-deceivers who are too lazy to research the facts and only want the reward of attention, recognition & appreciation from those like minded lazy sloths & others from the arub communities who have historically murdered, stole, raped and destroyed Jewish property like the midianites of old. arubs have not changed in 4500 years, even those with advanced education like the arub medical doctors who emigrated to Britain & blew up subway cars & riders. And so as not to be totally negative, even the arubs will change; but only when the world stands up to them & beats the crap out of them. It will take 1000 years for arubs to change. However, they will soon be receiving their beating from western nations. I hope it hurts them enough to make the necessary change & give Israel & the world peace. Moshe
58. #53 Mark - This is why the UK is changing the laws
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (06.03.11)
The UK has already started to change the Universal Jurisdiction laws as they were being abused by those who wish to hurt Israel in cases that could not be won. Now you need to change them to prevent Barak Obama from having to worry in 2013. Also, by all international laws the blockade on Gaza is both legal and moral. Even the UN head Ban Moon has said so.
59. #35 Mark - Israel predates the UN
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (06.03.11)
Unlike the Palestinians who have never had a country, self-rule, or even a national identity; Israel was created by the Brits and the League of Nations long before the UN was founded. It just took time to finalize the details. But why worry about the 9 terrorists killed in the illegal flotilla when you can ignore the 20 - 50 people a day being killed in Syria, or the 10-50 being killed each day in Libya?
60. #46 please don't use that bogus quote
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (06.03.11)
The so-called "Letter to an anti-Zionist" is bogus, and was never said or written by Dr. Martin Luther King. That is not to say if he would approve or disapprove of this moronic flotilla, but that quote is fake and was debunked years ago.
