haitham ,   germany   (06.10.11)
Erdogan's grandfathers massacred Armenian , Alive and others. Now in so called democratic turkey , Erdogan is suppressing Kurd, Alive and many others consisting more than 60% of Turkish population who cannot express their ideas or even identity , can not have any army or government high posts
9. INTERESTING
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (06.10.11)
We could be seeing the beginning of a battle for leadership in the Arab/Muslim world. Between Turkey and Iran. Both want to rule the Middle East, or at least be seen as the top dog so to speak.
10. really interesting
haitham ,   germany   (06.10.11)
you are 100% right
11. The savages among us - the beasts among us
Albert   (06.10.11)
Erdogan; no need to make such elaborate statements on TV. Synonym to bestiality, savagery, are Syrians and palestinians; not much different than turks aboard a Marmara. No human is born to bestility. It is an acquired taste / craft that only world famed islam is capable off. Teaching this venerable craft in schools, homes, mosques, is passed on from generation to generation under the guidance of allah, muhammad and the watchful eyes of the mullahs, ayatollahs, sheiks and other men of the islamic cloth. That they are not acting in a humane way is very islamic --- the religion of love, forgiveness, compassion. We are witnessing these admirable koranic verses every day in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Libya and the reste of the islamic 'clique'
12. UN likes Genocide and Murder
Brandon ,   South Africa   (06.10.11)
Why have the UN when they just sit around and talk about things. then they work on the wording of what their desicions. Its really sad and it just shows that the problems of the world really cannot be left up to countries who have the power to vote in the UN who themselve also abuse human rights.

14. REALLY,REALY INTERESTING
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (06.10.11)
Taking into account the vested interest that the Russian government has in Syria,Turkey is risking war with Russia. The Russian government wants paying for the weaponry that it's supplied to the Syrian regime and via them to Iran,Hizbollah and Hamas. Assad has a bigger 'friend' than Erdogan. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
15. Apparently today is going to be a mess
Ypip ,   Canada   (06.10.11)
Syrian security forces are making a massive sweep of northern Syria. It is difficult for foreign journalists to reach refugees for comments as the Turkish forbid them to do so while confining them to camps. Those who did speak mentioned that some Syrian locals captured a group of security agents acting on behalf of the Syrian government. They were native speaking Farsi. Earlier this week, British foreign secretary accused Iran of supporting the Hamas and Hezbollah. These groups (the men in black with beards) are assisting Assad's government with its suppression of any dissent.
16. The only reason that Erdogan
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.10.11)
is taking this position, is because some people had mentioned the he should be the intermediary between Israel & Syria Since he has already chastised Israel, it was now Syria's turn, giving him a veneer of being impartial Remember Pearl Harbo Remember the Alamo Remember the Holocaust Remember the Armenian's I don’t trust this twit one tiny bit
17. Turkey should welcome all the refugees
BUILDING ISRAEL ,   United States   (06.10.11)
and feed and clothe them first and worry about the fat pals later, much later.
18. Assad of Syria
Moragh   (06.10.11)
I think it is a very sad picture but, Assad of Syria really does look like a RETARD with that mouth of his almost touching the back of his throat.
19. Maybe turkey should send a flotilla to Syria
(06.10.11)
20. tayyip I Think Your baba in iran
wondering   (06.10.11)

21. i recall Ardoan said that Moslems not capable of war crimes
uri   (06.10.11)
Boy he was wrong
22. Poor Assad, only nice friends left Ahmadinejad,Putin, Chavez
Joe ,   Canada   (06.10.11)
23. Oooh! Pillay actually said something about it.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (06.10.11)
I can't get over the shock of it. Rather mild statement though..."assault on its own people" when Assad is using "excessive force" to kill the "protesters". Pillay is so irrelevant.
24. Sure! Turkey has over 2000 refugees so far and no more!
Shani   (06.10.11)
25. Erdogan cares
Cynthia ,   USA   (06.10.11)
Only because Syrian refugees are streaming into Turkey. When the Islamic Regime performed the same savagery in Iran, Erdogan rolled out the red carpet to welcome and priase Ahmadinejad.
26. 20-At least your quiet.
