2. MORE NONSENSE
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (06.15.11)
We heard that the second march on the Israeli/Syrian border was called off, it turned out to be a deception. So really whatever these people say, we must look at the source. These people still talk, write and make movies telling a completely false story about the last flotilla. But really the wind has been taken out of the sails for this flotilla. We all know the last one was a joke. There was NO crisis in Gaza. Three of the six ships carried NO aid. The three ships that had "aid" and I use the term loosely. Carried mostly crap i.e. outdated medicine, old shoes with holes in the soles, old useless clothes thrown in piles, not even properly packed, old, outdated, and broken medical equipment. Put simply the whole thing was a bad joke. From a PR point of view it backfired, it revealed to the world that Gaza was fine, a typical middle class neighborhood with no shortages of Food, Fuel, Medicine etc.. Then pictures came out of Gaza, that shocked the world. Expecting to see real rubble, they saw Water Parks for the kids, Malls, Upscale Restaurants, Food Courts filled with a wide variety and a abundance of food. WHOOPS!! So what's the point, now? Nothing is needed in Gaza, and they have agreed to let the ships be searched. Israel still can tell the ships where to dock, right? So what's the point? Just some phony PR to vilify Israel, how?
3. Changing Flotilla destination? Syria? Occupied Hatay?
Marco ,   Spain   (06.15.11)
Darfur? Libya? Yemen? Bahrain? Starving Egypt? Occupied Kurdistan? So many needs in the Muslim world and instead they are planning to bring junk to the most spoiled Arabs in the world.
4. IHH just called OBL "a holy martyer". WTF???
george   (06.15.11)
5. Logic prevailed
Anadelfos ,   Athens Greece   (06.15.11)
It seems that finally logic prevailed and after counting pros and cons, turks took the right decision. Lets hope they will focus now at Syria, where a real problem exists. Refugees are fleeing the country by thousands and seek for safe house in Turkey. I suppose under these harsh circumstances, syrians will be finally able to understand who their real enemy is, and why they were suffering all these years.
6. SEND A FLOTILA TO OCCUPIED KURDISTAN
(06.15.11)
7. Hi All
Salim el Masri ,   Philastin   (06.15.11)
Why no one told me about this cancellation? I know nothing about this and it is not acceptable.....I am getting on the phone strait away to talk to Adam Shapiro and then Hussein to get an update and I will let you know of our action.......I have a call waiting on the other line now from Sweden, I think it is Mr Expat Dror Flisher so I have to take the call, so I will speak to you soon. Salam
8. IHH, the first of the rats to jump a sinking ship.
Bless israel. ,   United States   (06.15.11)
The fellow 'passengers' should also reconsider such an unnecessary provocation. There is no nation on earth that would tolerate such a violation of law by illegally entering a known war danger zone and thus putting all onboard at great risk of possible harm by this act of war. ( is there an insurer of these ships of fools?) Only these fruiters remain until they see the mass error of their ways. They may end up eating their own words as a very expensive lesson in eating crow. If they were so concerned, they should be aiding the Syrians and the other 'arab spring' revolutionaries.
9. Floptilla
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.15.11)
Amazing how people's devotion to a "cause" (and a suspect one at that) just disintegrates when they finally learn to appreciate the fact that they could be -- er -- sleeping with the fish as a result.
10. To: George at No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.15.11)
Oh, I'm sure they still feel that way. I just don't think they want to join him just yet, if you get my drift. (No pun intended.)
11. They just opened a brand new Theme Park in Gaza ...
Robert Renders ,   Belgium   (06.15.11)
Maybe Dror Feiler should just go and have fun there with the well fed kids on the roller coaster .... When he does, I hope he doenst' forget to take pictures and show the world how terrible life is over there.
12. Maratime Insurance
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.15.11)
They must be having a whale of a time trying to get coverage, since the boats are attempting to go into a area of conflict I don't believe that they can get insurance at any price, that includes all boats from anywhere at all
13. Exactly my thinking, Yaniv. JA, great
Moragh   (06.15.11)
minds think alive,,, nicht wahr?
14. No. 12, Lloyd has already instructed its affiliated to deny
Marco ,   Spain   (06.15.11)
insurance for the flotilla and the letter has been made public two weeks ago. I posted this at the time but many people were skeptical that this will prevent them from sailing.
15. #9 Sarah, you mean they might be joining Luca Brasi??
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (06.15.11)
16. No, you're not terrorists. You're 2-faced idiots
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (06.15.11)
We notice with disdain that there is nothing called the: Free Syria movement Free Libya movement Free Lebanon movement Free Egypt movement Free Yemen movement Free Sudan movement Free Tunisia movement Free Iraq movement Free Iran movement There is no freedom in any of those countries, some of whom have been killing their citizens by the thousands over the past few months. There is no Free Syria flotilla going to rescue thousands of Syrians fleeing their army that is killing them. There is no Free Saudi Arabia flotilla going to rescue women who are prisoners in their own country, nor the child sex slaves there. Nope, despite the desperate need for human rights activists to intervene there, it's not fashionable. The Palestinians have cornered the market on human rights activism, despite the fact that the Palestinians have it better than just about any other Arab country. Nobody is starving in Gaza, and nobody being shot dead for demanding rights in the West Bank or Gaza (well, the Palestinians are simply too afraid to protest there for fear that Fatah will arrest them in the west bank or Hamas will beat them and throw them in jail in Gaza). But yes, while the blood runs thick in the streets of Syria and thousands scream for help, let's go to Gaza instead where the government says it is committed to war and refuses to talk peace, let alone negotiate peace. These activists know how to party!!!
17. To: Noodles at No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.15.11)
Yes, G-dfather, that is exactly what I mean.
18. Musing
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.16.11)
I believe that an extraordinary amount of pressure was brought to bear on Turkey, who in turn put pressure on IHH. This is an extraordinarily foolish adventure -- these are passenger ships, not cargo carriers; there is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza other than iron-fisted Hamas rule; and Israel has warned that it will defend its fully legal and internationally recognized blockade from any attempted breach. As to Dror Feiler and Adam Shapiro -- can't wait to park "the late" in front of their names ....
19. #16...Brian Cohen
Malone ,   Hfx   (06.16.11)
Right on the money!!
20. Word from the
Shaul ,   Sheboygan   (06.16.11)
Mavi Marmara: We'll be along shortly. We've been having just a small problem with water leaking in around our new torpedo tubes . . . .
21. Feiler, it wasn't the Swedes who attacked soldiers
William ,   Israel   (06.16.11)
or made videos wishing to be shahids. Your attempt to break a legal war-time blockade on an entity ruled by a terrorist, which incidentally already has a border opening, doesn't make you a terrorist...but it sure does make you a legitimate military target! Did you notice another ship, from France, will not join your group? Watch as others drop off in the coming weeks. All I can say is....make sure you bring your diapers...because you're gonna shit when you see a massive contingent of IDF surrounding you.
22. IHH trying to back away from offer to let inspections happen
William ,   Israel   (06.16.11)
IHH just put their foot in their mouths when they offered the boats to be inspected by the IDF in a 3rd party country. Unless they're picking up weapons at sea, they won't be bringing anything of value to Hamas. How to get out of it? Claim other problems in joining the flotilla...or just deny you ever made the offer. Both are fine.
