John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (06.17.11)
It's a pity that they are not coming. IDF has still some open accounts on them...
2. they realized the IDF is going to...
george ,   UK   (06.17.11)
bring them to the Ashdod port without coming on board and cooperate with their provocation, so they crumpled... terrorists
3. IHH=free gaza= terrorists who support OBL
kyle ,   australia   (06.17.11)
thhese groups called osama ben laden a "holy martyer". and they both support jihad.
4. ????
John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (06.17.11)
...the fact that the sail will be devoid of the Marmara would negate the notion that the flotilla was an "Islamist idea by Turkey." So, you prepare everything, you heat up few useful idiots from all over the world (with the support of your government of course), then you cancel your participation and, voila, you have nothing to do with it. Yeah, BBC may buy this...
5. TECHNICAL reasons TRUMPS "humanity and the law"
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (06.17.11)
30 May - IHH Head Bulent Yıldırım to Hurriyet : “In the past, we went there for Gaza, but now we are going for humanity and the law.” Guess "humanity and the law" are WORTH as much as the HOT AIR coming from IHH. Blink, blink, blink, blink, blink.....
6. technical reasons :))))) I watched on tv
Turka ,   istanpoli   (06.17.11)
they are very good liar and so funny... congratulations Israel and navy :) no one will beat you this time ;)
7. Actually ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.17.11)
I think they realized that the world was basically not paying much attention. Of course, it is also very possible that the owners of the vessels yanked the bareboat charters. Come to think of it -- that was probably the reason. Having your vessel sunk is an expensive proposition. Poor, poor terrorists. Unemployed. Oh dear.
8. Technical reasons is that they can't get insurance. Muhahah!
Yaniv ,   Israel   (06.17.11)
9. Hamas says Dror Feiler is a LIAR
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (06.17.11)
Hamas has already PROCLAIMED that Gaza has TWICE been LIBERATED - first in 2005 when Israel UNILATERALLY withdrew and then again in 2007 when it staged a MURDEROUS coup d'etat against its fatah rivals. In other words, Feiler is clearly LYING through his dentures.
10. actuallly i dont think ....
Oren   (06.17.11)
that they realized the world was not paying much attention Sara although i love your posts....its not a coincidence all the circumstances...netanyahu and company have been out on the offensive applying massive pressure with the help of the US... The US offered turkey a lot of incentives to stop the marmara from leaving turkey and at first they said they couldnt stop the ship then the incentives came and within a week or 2 they stopped the ship...similar pressure was applied to the ship leaving france

The old bait and switch. You can't say the Turks aren't smart.
12. Step by step
Yaëlle Schlichting ,   Raubling Germany   (06.17.11)
Erdogan first needed to win his election. Hence he needed a concept of enemy. Now, that the election is behind him, he has the leeway to act more moderate until the next inner affair is pressing.
13. Good riddance!
Mark ,   J-lem   (06.17.11)
14. Dror Feiler...Who are you ?

18. You call them terrorists
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (06.17.11)
But how many IDF terr- er 'soldiers' did they kill?? This has nothing to do with terrorism, get over yourselves. It's too bad they pulled out. I don't buy the excuse though...

Harry Wright ,   UK   (06.17.11)
Your iphone is coming on the US vessel "Audacity of Hope", you know, the one named after Obama. If Rashid Khalidi (Obama's good friend and Islamic adviser who often dines with him) is on it, he'll hand it to you personally. Get a photographer for the big occasion. He has probably succeeded in helping raise the $370,000 for the expedition by now and you know, the Obama boat might be the only one to get through. Who is going to touch a boat named after the thug-in-chief???
24. To: Oren at No. 10
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.17.11)
Thank you for your kind words. I agree, but I'm not sure if it was a question of pressure being applied by the United States (keep in mind that Iran is applying an equal amount of pressure at the opposite end) or Israel's flat-out statement that no vessel would be permitted to breach the blockade. That would actually be my guess. Also -- let's face it -- on the first ill-fated voyage of the MAVI MARMARA et al., the MAVI MARMARA, which claimed to be bringing "humanitarian aid," was discovered to be carrying a handful of expired over-the-counter medications and some old blankets. Yachts and ferries are designed to hold people, not cargo. Israel's released video showing its Navy practicing with water cannon sent a very strong message .... pleasure vessels do not have a lot of steel -- do you know what a water cannon going full blast can do to a fiberglass hull? Not pretty. Frankly, the current United States administration is very hostile to Israel; the current United States Congress is very friendly to Israel. I don't believe that the U.S. president would go out of his way to dissuade Turkey of anything that might be perceived as harmful to Israel's interests; on the other hand, no foreign head of state has ever received anything close to the reception which the United States Congress gave to Prime Minister Netanyahu. The message to the president was very clear: stop bullying Israel. He may not like it, but that's just too darn bad.
25. To: No. 17
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.17.11)
Oh, please. The blockade is fully legal and internationally recognized. Children of Gaza? Do you mean the ones that go to terrorist training summer camp and are taught hateful, murderous slogans? Don't come for them. We'll send them to you. Gladly.
26. Armada Turkana
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (06.17.11)
What Bakshish (bribe) did the USA promise Turkey,to jump ship.
27. Just like it was stated by someone before me
leo ,   usa   (06.17.11)
the IHH bail out could be a hoax. After all it is not the ship itself that matters. . Keep an eye on IHH still and record their every ship hop.
28. Ibrahim @ 21, your jest is noted ..., but not by Erdogan.
leo ,   usa   (06.17.11)
