31. haha - "technical reasons"...
William ,   Israel   (06.17.11)
yeah - "technically" they'd be considered a military target and dealt with accordingly. IHH decided it was best to sit back and just issue commendations of "martyrdom" to those fools who do continue on.
32. #18 - Hamas has built schools in the past
William ,   Israel   (06.17.11)
but they're still terrorists and are treated as such. IHH is the same way. All of their actions are suspect.
33. #17 - you're dealing with the wrong people
William ,   Israel   (06.17.11)
If you want to protect the children of Gaza and remove the siege, the people you need to address is Hamas, not Israel. Hamas launched a war on Israel - which is still in effect - that's why the siege is there. It's legal and will remain in effect until Hamas declares their war over. Hamas uses children as human shields, and fires their rockets right next to playgrounds. Many children are hurt by this action - do they too deserve your support and sympathy? If so - call Haniyeh and tell him to stop his stupid terror war. Then all will be well.
34. Perhaps Israeli deterrence reestablished
Stephen in New York   (06.17.11)
I didn’t consider last year’s incident a “disaster” for Israel. The deaths of the IHH activists was not a PR disaster as most pundits pronounced. Don’t mess with the IDF!

Here you go: http://www.investigativeproject.org/2879/ihh-calls-killing-of-bin-laden-a-terrorist-attack You're a little out of your league here, kiddo.
36. No 34:Are you are actually bragging
Turkish   (06.17.11)
about the killings of nine Turkish people and implying it was a PR success after all?? . Mazal Tov to your humanity! If the Turks join the campaign, you complain. If we don't you complain again. What is it that you exactly want to stop hating our guts? (not that we care) Maybe you can put us on your list of nations to be terminated? That may ease the excitement.
37. #18 LebanonBS is CLUELESS...
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (06.17.11)
... that the IHH is a TERROR org. Will he be SMART enough to JOIN the dots? Dot # 1 - US State Dept CONFIRMS IHH has CLOSE ties with hamas, Dot # 2 - hamas is DESIGNATED a TERRORIST org by the US and the EU. Dot # 3 - IHH has PUBLICLY stated that it SUPPORTS hamas and all its GOALS (which is basically to achieve WORLD PEACE....at least that's what I think LebanonBS believes in). Dot # 4 - The Dutch has DESIGNATED IHH as a terror group, Dot # 5 - The Italians are also LOOKING to do the same. Now let us see IF LebanonBS has the GREY MATTER for this SIMPLE task of joining the dots. P.S. I am NOT holding my breath.
38. #18 LebanonBS - is he SMART enough to JOIN the dots?

Zaatar ,   Gaza   (06.17.11)
Sad news ! not fair ! i have got a headache now i need a medicine for my headache, even an out of date will do.
40. Maybe the Mavi Marmara not sailing, But !!!
john   (06.17.11)
this does not mean the IHH terrorists will give up from participating on the other boats and provoke a confrontation with the I.D.F. I strongly suspect The Turkish government and the IHH terrorists will try again and deceive Israel to believe The IHH will not take part. Israel must never take Their word at face value and be prepared.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.17.11)
It's not bragging. It is simply stating the truth. Strange that you, as a Turk, should feel so shocked and horrified that Israel displayed no humanity because nine Turkish terrorists were killed. Aren't you the people that invented modern genocide (the Armenians) and spend a great deal of time massacring innocent Kurdish civilians? Yes, I do believe you are. By the way -- do not overestimate Turkey's military prowess. Israel would destroy you in no time at all. Unless you count the invasion of Cyprus, Turkey hasn't been militarily tested since Gallipoli. It would be a really, really good idea for Turkey not to antagonize Israel too much. I'll let you in on a little secret: Do you know why the Turkish government forced IHH to cancel its involvement? The balance of the countries in NATO said if Turkey did not do it, they'd be kicked out of NATO. Might still happen -- but hey -- Turkey won't care, right? You've got your good buddies Iran and Syria.
42. We should be thankful from united states of america.don't forget their recomendation to turkey.
Saed, ,   Iranian jew   (06.17.11)
'Reconsider next flotilla'.next flotilla with participation of turkey means end to israel diplomatic relation with turkey.we should keep our relations with turkey.that's vital for us.we should reconsider our relations with turkey.
43. #42. Sensible comment, but you do recognise
Harry Wright ,   UK   (06.17.11)
the one-sided situation, don't you? Turkey sent the first flotilla to provoke Israel - complete with armed IHH terrorists. Then when nine of them got killed in the fracas, Turkey demanded an apology and compensation. Not satisfied with that, they claimed they could not stop the proposed second one and threatened Israel not to repeat the same mistake. Now who was repeating???? After all, one flotilla was not enough, they want more and more and more. Now suddenly, they they are no longer involved in the second flotilla which they planned and organised. Now how can a country be a member of NATO when it engages in overt provocation with the possibility of violence (not once, but twice) with another country? All this, when NATO is supposed to keep the peace? So what? Turkey was inviting NATO to smack them down to keep the peace? Not that Israel needs any help in smacking down Turkey's flotilla! I mean, HOW is Israel expected to keep its relations with Turkey when Turkey is constantly and deliberately provoking Israel. Do you think that is the behaviour of a country wanting relations with Israel??????
44. @Sarah B. You are full of b.s and hatred..
turkish   (06.17.11)
Suggestion: Get a chill pill and than a life.
45. Dror Feiler is unfortunately
Tristan ,   sweden   (06.17.11)
...a countryman of me. However, I beg to differ upon his opinions. To many swedes he is a... picturesque nutcase. A few years ago Dror was a vehement orthodox jew. Today he has somehow changed affiliations. Many of the other activists from Sweden may also be (mildly) characterized as whimsy narcissists. Please dont be too harsh on them, dear Israelis. And let Henning Mankell keep his socks. He gets offended very easily. Regards,
46. TECHNICALLY, NOBODY WOULD
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.17.11)
WRITE THE MARITIME INSURANCE They simply couldn't find any Insurance Agency that was able to get a policy for ships entering a zone where there might be some military activity Insurance companies are there to make money, not to lose it
47. #1 John, don't count your chickens
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.17.11)
Syria also said it wasn't going to participate in Naksa, they sent a couple of dozen buses filled with rioters Let's not forget, an Arabs word isn't worth a bupka
48. #18 Lebanon's Shame
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.17.11)
t's the intent that counts, they came armed with weapons, their purpose wasn’t peaceful Let's put it this way, you claim to live in Canada, approach one of your policemen with a weapon in your hand, he'll tell you to drop it, if you don't listen, he will drop you, dead on the ground You should have volunteered for the next voyage, it might have given them the imcentive to continue as planned More boats say the intend to sail, it’s not too late to reserve your seat
49. #21 Ibrahim el awal
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.17.11)
You will have to go to get your phone from the Israeli Navy, who captured the ship you were named after Israel has the phone in the miitary museum The Attack on the Ibrahim Al Awal (October 10, 1956) Very early on the third morning of the Sinai Campaign, the Egyptian destroyer Ibrahim al Awal sailed into Haifa Bay from Port Said. The warship's four-inch guns shattered the pre-dawn silence, firing 220 rounds at the port and the nearby oil refinery. The shelling began at 3:30 a.m. but lasted only a few minutes. A French warship anchored in the harbor quickly returned fire, but the Ibrahim at Awal was able to slip away under the cover of darkness. She sailed northwest towards a group of neutral American ships. At 3:56, two Israeli naval ships, the Eilat and Yafo, began searching for the Egyptian intruder, which was well hidden among the American ships. At 5:00 a.m. a Dakota pinpointed the enemy ship and the sea battle began in earnest. After taking a few hits, the Ibrahim al Awal began running towards Beirut. At 6:38 the IAF entered the fight. Two Ouragans, flown by Captain Yaakov Agassi and Lt. David Kishon, rocketed and strafed the ship. They knocked out her electrical system, disabled her steering capability and put the munitions elevators out of operation. The warship had no fight left in her. At 7:10, Israeli sailors boarded the destroyer. The Ibrahim al Awal was towed back to Haifa, where it was repaired, and later entered the Israel Navy as the I.N.S. Haifa.

ali ,   istanbul   (06.17.11)
Raised to the status of NATO base in Izmir..Do not make us do this.in reference to Israel 2006 Lebanon and the war in Gaza..very impressive :)))
52. #36 - no, we're bragging at stopping terrorists
William ,   Israel   (06.17.11)
who, on camera in Turkey prior to leaving, announced their plans to violently attack the IDF, while breaking a legal war-time blockade, and welcomed martyrdom. And it seems, reacting to their violence has created an air of deterrence in future illegal attempts. Admit it - you never really stopped your connection to the illegal flotilla nor the vilifying actions against Israel - whether in public or behind the scenes. It's your duplicitous behavior that has us concerned, but not surprised.

57. What weapons?
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (06.18.11)
The Turks didn't have any weapons, drop that lie already. It seems in this conflict there is 2 truths: Israel's truth and the World's truth. The Israeli truth is always right, the World's truth is always anti-semetic.... Face it, Israel isn't perfect.
