1. Just wondering?
Rachel ,   US   (06.22.11)
Is Wonder Boy Dennis Ross concerned about this?
2. For sure they'll try and provoke Israel...
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (06.22.11)
into launching a first strike like they did in 2006, but it is definitely doubtful they would have the guts to open up with a full-scale front against Israel. The leadership in Israel is a lot more mature than the motley crew that was in charge in 2006, and would probably resist any temptation to get sucked into a war with Hez.
3. army which doesn't prepare for war isn't army
observer ,   Egypt   (06.22.11)
4. That would certainly topple Assad
Cynic ,   USA   (06.22.11)
Israel would unleash massive destruction on Damascus as well as Beirut
5. togeter we will defit you nasralla!!!
am israel chai   (06.22.11)
6. If Hizbollah is dumb enough to start something...
David ,   Hartford USA   (06.22.11)
Israel is strong enough to finish it, once and for all. Nasrallah hid like the coward he is last time. This time Israel will root out the dirtbag, no matter where he is hiding. As for all the arms Hizbollah has stashed away under the nose of the UN, Israel will just vaporize much of southern Lebanon to be rid of them. If there are any Lebanese that don't want to see what it's like to live in the stone age, better take action against Nasrallah and his goons.
7. It Isn't A War With Just Israel...
Edward ,   Savannah, USA   (06.22.11)
I received information the other day from someone who lives in Israel that the U.S. has an attack fleet off of the Syrian coast. The USS Bataan is there and has 2000 Marines, 6 Fighter Bombers, dozens of attack helicopters, and anti-missle missles. The U.S. has also moved ships in the Med & Black Sea. There is a strong possibility that they may be working in conjunction with Turkey. It was reported that Turkey has sent troops inside Syria to form a buffer zone on Syrian soil to protect Syrian refugees to try to stem them from pouring into Turkey. It is my opinion that Oduma is working with his Shiaite relatives to depose of Assad to set up a Muslim Caliphate which would be used to destroy Israel. I cannot stress loudly enough that Oduma is a Haman and the Jewish lobby in the U.S. better wake up and wake up FAST!!! The "arab spring" has been brought to us by oduma and his cronies in the U.S. for the sole purpose of destroying Israel. Maybe the illegal alien muslim poser from Kenya in the White House believes that if he attacks Syria then Hezbollah and Hamas would send their 50,000 rockets and missles into Israel to destroy it. Houston...we have a problem!!!!!!
8. Loss of Land
Pedro ,   Brazil   (06.22.11)
Next time maybe Lebanon will lose the south of the country forever. Israel can not accept atacks coming from Lebanon indefinitely.
9. If yet again Israel is attacked from Lebanon
Stephen in New York   (06.22.11)
Next time Hezbollah attacks, Israel would be justified to annex south Lebanon up to the Litani. Perhaps the continued Shitte presence in south Lebanon would come into question.
10. Iran wants to control
John Prophet ,   of Light   (06.22.11)
the oil and the Islamic hearts and minds of the Middle East; it could care less for a secular Syria or the rabble that makes up Hamas, Fatah and Hezbollah. Iran will order its minions to attack Israel, causing Israel to waste its military defeating the minions of the beast. Iran will not venture into the hell hole but keep its powder dry till it’s ready to take on a victorious but militarily degraded Israel. It will then attack Israel and the Saudis’ in a power play to win it all. Iran sees the West as weak and unable to stop what Allah ordains.
11. nasrallah
daze ,   US   (06.22.11)
If you think that picking a fight with Israel is going to be limited to a scuffle... you may want to rethink, senor nasrallah of the black turban
12. can't wait for my military duty!!!
(06.22.11)
13. 3 Egyptian, Nasrallah has chosen kindergardens to hide in
(06.22.11)
14. #2, Noodles I think like You...Nasrallah
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (06.22.11)
is a coward and he will never wage a direct attack on Israel...he may probably make some minor stunts in order to please Mr. Assad. So it will be left to Israels choosing to escalate or not...
15. IF NASRALLAH SHIELDS ASSAD....
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (06.22.11)
...it'll be two birds with one stone. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!!
16. #3 - Hizbullah isn't an army
William ,   Israel   (06.22.11)
Or haven't you heard? Hizbullah isn't part of the LAF and are acting as a separate, unsanctioned militia operating outside of Lebanese govt rule of law. It is no wonder why Hizbullah is listed as a terrorist group in the US and Europe. What would you call a group of "rebels" who armed themselves in Egypt and began to set up roadblocks, infrastructure, and taxation for themselves, outside of the govt rule - and respond with massive violence against everyone if they are questioned or attempted to be subdued by the military? You'd call them "criminals", right? But in Lebanon, you call them an army. Plus, Hizbullah is not preparing for a defensive war - they never had one. They've always prepared for offensive actions since they have a habit of starting all of the wars and altercations.
17. If yet again Israel is attacked from Lebanon
Stephen in New York   (06.22.11)

18. Just curious...
Eric ,   New York   (06.22.11)
Does nobody else see the outrageous lies propagated by Hezbollah? It is obvious that Israel has nothing to do with these Syrian riots, yet these evil leaders still manage to drag Israel into it. Why do smart leaders in Europe and US even bother to talk to these people, do they not see what maniacs they are? These Arab leaders are so blindly dumb and evil that I can't believe more people aren't talking about how dumb and evil they are. Ugh, it makes me so sick... Bottom line... every single Arab state is run by a dictator, not one is free. Israel is blatantly the only country committed to Democracy in the region... they let freaking Arabs who hate Israel serve in parliament! Oy vey...
19. Barack Hussein Obama will probably say: Israel is
Bev ,   Mass. U.S.A.   (06.22.11)
responsible for it all. It must make more gestures toward peace with the Palestinians in order to make sure Assad of Syria doesn't slaughter his people, and that Hizbullah doesn't attack the Jewish civilians of the Jewish state. Yes, this has been Obama's way of thinking. It is all up to the Jews.
20. If so, BOMB DAMASCUS!!
BUILDING ISRAEL ,   United States   (06.22.11)
then, bomb Lebanon and aim for this bearded lady.
21. any hezbollah attack is an instruction from iran
Dan ,   UK   (06.22.11)
Ignore this tittle-tattle Israel, and cut the head off the snake.
22. Israel has to pass the message
Genuine Moshe   (06.22.11)
she will go after Bashar's behind if Nasrallah starts a war.
23. William#16
james ,   uk/il   (06.22.11)
We are safe in the knowledge that the IDF is ready.
24. Oodles of loonie noodles. With nuts on top?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (06.22.11)
Noodles says "...and provoke Israel...into launching a first strike like they did in 2006." Uh...Noodles, did you slip on the keyboard there? Israel didn't launch the first strike in 2006 - Hezbolla did. Go look up your history for July 12, 2006. Hezbollah committed several war crimes by invading Israel and firing anti-personnel rockets at Israeli civilians. The Hezbollah attack was unprovoked, offensive in nature, and a clear violation of international law. Is that a typo in your talkback, or did you really get it wrong?
25. Islamofascist Hezbollah doing Iran's bidding to make martyrs
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (06.22.11)
The 2006 humiliation happened when Hezbollah caused the deaths of over 1000 Lebanese, caused billions in damage to the economy, and resulted in 25000 Israeli troops on Lebanese soil (and not a single Hezbollah fighter in Israel ...except for dead ones or prisoners). Then to make it worse for the Lebanese mourners, Nasrallah got on tv and said "whoops, I guess I really blew it there, didn't I?". If Nasrallah attacks again, Lebanon will have nothing to do with it. Hezbollah is an Iranian occupation army trying to take over Lebanon, and until Lebanon disarms and vomits out Hezbollah, Iran will continue to make life miserable for Muslims, Jews, Druze and Christians alike.
26. Hizbullah certainly has a reason to start a war
William ,   Israel   (06.22.11)
Most terrorists and despots often create violence in the face of losing power. Gaddafi doing it right now, the Mullahs use Hizbullah to do it whenever the G8 heats things up for Tehran, Nasrallah does it when his bandits or support staff are put under the spot-light. Hizbullah is hit twice with internationally scrutiny - both with the Hariri tribunal and with Assad potentially losing power. My guess is they will want to start a war with Israel but will hold back (if they're smart) because nothing will hurt them more than an ass-kicking delivered by Israel the same in 2006. Nasrallah admitted he mis-calculated Israel's response in 2006, but now that he knows Israel's resolve, he can expect even worse the next time no matter how rockets he has.
27. To the nazzy guy.
David ,   America   (06.22.11)
Have you ever seen a bug hit your windshield while driving down the highway? That is a picture of hizbullah confronting the west. Just give us a reason and we will start our engines. Of course this may not be understandable for you since camels don't have windshields.
28. Maybe it's the end of "Israel"
Diego ,   São Paulo, Brazil   (06.22.11)
"Israel" should pray for it to not happen. It will be the end of "Israel" if Syria and Hezbollah enter a full-scale war against "Israel". Time to stop f-word...ing around
29. War
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (06.22.11)
Nasrallah ! Bevare,no war ended the way it was planned to end by those who started the war.
30. #1 Rachel, US
Marco ,   Spain   (06.22.11)
No Rachel, I don't think that "wonder Boy Dennis Ross" has any reason to be worried, but I think that Zionist Jews should be...
