1. What part of the word 'NO' don't they get
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.23.11)
They have no rights and we will not allow them to make any demands on us.
2. what is the name of that senior Palestinian official?!
Salma ,   Palestine   (06.23.11)
is it secret or what? anyway he is a big liar.
3. THE PALIS WILL TELL US WHEN TO OR NOT TO BUILD??
stude ham   (06.23.11)
and for what??? this anonyMous paliwood official is either lying or delusional. israel cannot afford to let its enemies dictate its necessary future needs. BUILD ISRAEL BUILD!
4. PARTIAL FREEZE IS THAT LIKE BEING
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.23.11)
PARTIALLY PREGNANT ? NO FREEZE IS MORE LIKE IT Abbas' tongue is hanging out, he made promises and now finds that he can't keep them unless Israel is foolish enough to cooperate I for one, would leave him hanging out there, twisting in the wind, drying in his own hot air Dollars to donuts, he's getting his instructions from the White House
5. NO negotiations NO surrender
Wissam ,   Palestine   (06.23.11)
PALESTINE will be declared at the UN, as Abbas has no mandate, and the unified national policy is now set in motion. Call me blasphemous - but not even God can stop the September declaration. Of course we expect you to start annexing and waging war, and we're prepared.
6. Wissam no 5
JUDAH THE LION   (06.23.11)
We all know that the Palestinians win the vote in the UN . So what will happen after the UN Vote. Will you get the state,if not, what you can do? Go to war with Israel,or the WORLD will go to war with Israel. You will get nothing but big empty hand.,
7. #2
Madeleine ,   Rehovot Israel   (06.23.11)
The whole lot of you are big liars! The sad truth is that the so-called Palestinian leaderships is sh*t scared of real peace and even more scared of actually having a state to govern. See, governing is a word that doesn't exist in Pali language. It means having laws, building infrastructure, building homes, having indusstry. And, h ardest of all for the Palis, it means forgoing all the billions of dollars and euros poured into you poor people, with nothing to show for it. So Abbas keeps making new conditions which he knows are uselss, anything in order to put off the fateful day when some idiot will actually give you Palis a state, other than Jordan. As far as a settlement freeze goes, partial or otherwise, been there, done that. Remember - 10 month moratorium and at theend, Abbas demanded more. Salma, know somethng else. Everyt bit of eretz Yisrael was bought by the Zionists. Bought with money, not stole. It's documented, legal and we really owe you lot nothing at all.
8. Talks Resume Thanks To DM!!!
Edward ,   Savannah, USA   (06.23.11)
Of course they are now willing to allow "partial" building of property in the West Bank because that dimwitted evil little troll of a DM called Ehud Barak stated in a news article the other day that the Palis would get those buildings in any "peace" deal!!! What's not to like!!!??? The Jews spend THEIR money building the region up, the Lukid governemnt has a mass expulsion of Judea/Samaria like in Gaza, and the PA terrorists get ALL of this without having to shell out a single dime for it!!! Simply Brilliant!!!
9. What? No absolute preconditions? Unbelievable!
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (06.23.11)
10. #2 don't worry
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (06.23.11)
This is a fake report to give you guys positive press as being ready for making concessions for negotiations even when you aren't so that Netanyahu will be blamed.
11. #8 Your assessment is quite correct
Muayyad ,   Palestine   (06.23.11)
Palestinian returning refugees will be lodged in the (now legal) settlements, albeit renamed to Arab names. Illegal Jewish settlers (who have arrived relatively recently) should either be naturalized by Palestine (with all the responsibilities that entails) or simply expelled. C'est la vie - mon ami.
12. #5 Wissam - You can declare it now
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.23.11)
You can keep declaring Palestine until you're blue in the face, same results, status quo Declaring and getting are quite different, it's time you realized that nobody is going to help you, they're all have their own problems to contend with
13. pro-israelis
John ,   Canada   (06.23.11)
Its amazing how Pro-Israelis are taking this news. I thought this was a good thing. The last time I checked this is called a concesion. You know were two parties try to give something to the other and keep giving until the issue is resolved. No BUILD ISRAEL BUILD is your answer. Sad really
14. Two "problematic" issues stalemating negotiation
kapriza ,   tsafon   (06.23.11)
Excuse me, but what negotiations? Haven't heard that anyone is negotiating, just demanding pre-conditions. And how's that working for you, Abu Mazen?
15. Well ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.23.11)
Israel is not interested in a construction moratorium -- the last time we imposed one, Abbass sat on his hands for ten months, found another excuse to refuse to negotiate, and then weeks before the moratorium was to expire, demanded an extension. There will be no moratorium on settlement building. Not partial, not whole -- not anything. Now that that is out of the way, I wonder what the next absurdity from the ersatz "Palestinians" will be ....
16. To: No. 5
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.23.11)
You're prepared? Prepared? Who is going to challenge Israel militarily on your behalf? Your fellow Arabs cannot stand you, and we can kick your asses to the curb -- as we have six times in the past. We will annex Judea and Samaria. You will be repatriated to Jordan or, if you wish, Gaza. One or another way -- you're gone. Real soon now. And whatever the public posture has been or will be, the fact of the matter is that most of the world hates you. Do you think that seven decades of unrelenting terror has escaped anyone's notice? Do you think that ersatz "Palestinian" intransigence has escaped anyone's notice? It's time for you to move on. Don't let the door hit you in the tizz on your way out of Medinat Israel.
17. Rights
(06.23.11)
Everyone has rights. You may choose to ignore them but every man, woman, and child has rights. Maybe that's what Israel needs, a Civil Rights movement.
18. No freeze-No Jerusalem-No Jordan Valley-No right of return!
Jake ,   USA   (06.23.11)
When Abbas agrees to these conditions, we can start talking about a state. Since that will never happen, no point in wasting anyone's time with this Middle-eastern soap opera. Abbas needs to recognize that Israel has all the leverage, and he has none. He wants land that Israel holds dear, in return for a piece of paper worth absolutely nothing.
19. To: No. 11
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.23.11)
Please regale us with your fantasy as to how the ersatz "Palestinians" plan to dislodge Israel from land it will have annexed.
20. To: No. 13
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.23.11)
And if the French were to come to you and say we really didn't mean to lose the Seven Years' War; can we have Quebec back? ..... you would say ....
21. #13 John = Canada
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.23.11)
The Palestinian idea of what a concession is that Israel gives while they take and demand more of them I will lleave it up to you, name a single concession that the Palestinian's have made to Israel, please be specific
22. Proud not to be a jew
Fizzy   (06.23.11)
23. Full Israeli Citizenship to all Palestinians
SH ,   NC -USA   (06.23.11)
The One state solution is the only workable solution; If Israel claims to be democratic, then give all Palestinians full citizenship; Call the state anything you like...This resolves Jerusalem, settlements, borders, etc. Does Israel dare do this? Is it democratic enough?
24. #13 John - INTERESTED to buy a BRIDGE in Brooklyn?
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (06.23.11)
Building in settlements has NEVER been an OBSTACLE to peace talks. Abbas had NO problems talking to Olmert while construction continued. There was a TEN-MONTH freeze and the palis did NOTHING until it was ALMOST over, only to DEMAND for an extension with NO promise that they would NEGOTIATE. In any case, why settlement FREEZE became the MAIN pali objection was EXPLAINED by Abbas in a Newsweek interview titled The Wrath of Abbas. The REAL reason why the palis are willing to DROP that objection is because they NOW have a BETTER deal - the NON-EXISTENT 1967 borders for FREE. So the NEXT time when you check about pali "CONCESSIONS", also look up for the meaning of "OPPORTUNISTIC" and "DUPLICITOUS".
25. #22
daze ,   US   (06.23.11)
Uh, mr fizzleman, I am sure that the Jews are proud that you are not a Jew
26. Dear John
james ,   uk/il   (06.23.11)
Israel gave an 10month freeze as you would say a concesion, what did the arabs do with this 10 month building freeze.......?
27. ISRAELI VIOLENCE
Charles ,   Toronto, Canada   (06.23.11)
700,000 Palestinians had been "displaced" by the formation of Israel. Their rights were stolen, bought, traded, won, occupied, whatever term you want to use. Yet they are still members of humanity who were evicted from their homes and homeland and still live in squalor in tents and shacks. They want a place of their own to live. Illegal Jewish settlements are continuing to take more and more of their land. Where will they live? Some Israelis recognize this fact with compassion, while others have become the same Fascists whom they escaped from in Europe.
28. Peace talks? Yes, certainly, without any preconditions,
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (06.23.11)
including the preconditions attempted to impose by Mr. Barack Hussein Obama. Fundamentally, the basis for all peace talks has and must continue to be UN Security Council Resolution, 242.
29. No more Israeli concessions. Period.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.23.11)
Abbas has climbed high up a tree with his threat to declare statehood. Let him stay up there and twist in the wind. Recent polls show 77% of Israeli Jews oppose ceding Judea and Samaria. Nobody has a mandate to make any more Israeli concessions. Period. If necessary, let's get the 77% in the street to stop Israeli concessions once and for all.
30. Israbluff
Black Shabbat   (06.23.11)
There never was a settlement freeze. Construction within East Jerusalem was not covered by the "freeze", nor were schools or other infrastructure projects within settlements. 3,000 units were grandfathered in. Israeli authorities issued a blizzard of building permits prior to the announcement of the freeze, 10 times the previous year. I guess water is not the only thing that expands when it freezes.
