1. No sympathy for Neeman
Michael ,   Haifa   (06.30.11)
He is now reaping the fruits of the evil crop that he and his ideological colleagues have sown over the years
2. where ever thers trouble theres itamar Ben - Gvri
Haim ,   Tel aviv   (06.30.11)
Itamar Ben-Gvir the former senior member of the banned Kach terrrorist group is at it again. When hes not flaming the flames of hatred hes inciting violence, for someone that claims to be a religious man he sure seems full of hatred and bitterness.
3. Mob rule
Haim ,   Tel aviv   (06.30.11)
What a bunch of anarchists, jail the lot of them , that`ll teach them. There is a system of law in this country if they dont like it they are free to leave. What hypocrites they are, if a preacher was preaching its ok to kill jews these very same biggots would be screaming antisemitism from the roof tops.
4. A Mess
Adam Neira ,   Melb, Australia   (06.30.11)
Israel is in a bit of a philosophical mess at the moment. The solution is as follows. Bring me and my team to Jerusalem tout de suite. I will then conduct meetings with all the head Rabbis of the various Jewish sects, e.g. Lubavitch, Satmar, NK, Breslov, Belzer, Bobov, Skverer, Kahane, Temple Institute, Aish Ha Torah, the Settlers, the Chief Rabbis and of course the Sanhedrin. This could be done in a large open forum or via one on one meetings. I will have everything prepared. I am ready to answer any question directed at me and to discuss many issues. The assembled guests will be surprised at my range and depth. I also have a pretty powerful ally. Sometimes people won’t take advice until it almost too late. The coming days are crucial. Where does the real power lie ? Who should hold sway ? Was the arrest of Dov Lior like lancing a boil ? Is there more to this story than meets the eye ?
5. No sympathy for you
Naftush ,   Israel   (06.30.11)
The individuals who accosted Neemen belong to the malevolent hard core of Kach. Neeman belongs to Israel's senior echelon of establishment professionals. By blaming the one on the other, you put on a display of vile prejudice. No sympathy for you.
6. They do arrest sheiks - look at Salah
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (06.30.11)
7. Proper response - I am sorry the Rabbi though he was above
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (06.30.11)
Proper response - I am sorry the Rabbi though he was above the law and did not come in for a dignified discussion when we requested it. He could have save himself and us the embarrassment of arresting him.
8. Equality
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim   (06.30.11)
B"H All citizens may be equal before the law, but during and after the law they are not.
9. #1 actually
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (06.30.11)
I would have thought you would have sympathy for him. Ne'eman was a victim of an attack similar to what happened to Rabbi Lior. The system torpedoed Ne'emans first appointment as Minister with false accusations of crimes everyone knew he did not commit so that their preferred Tzahi Hanegbi could seize the ministry. As you know, Tzahi Hangebi of Kadima is not one of Israel's more honest politicians.
10. Noam Federman and Itamar Ben-Gvir
Dovid ,   Israel   (06.30.11)
It is both pathetic and revealing how many laws these two trouble makers continually break and yet they are permitted to continue to do so. They should have been given long sentences for their criminal activities.
11. #10 I'm curious
Proud Israeli ,   Central Israel   (06.30.11)
I'm curious. Other than disagreeing with you anti-Jewish point of view, what legal crimes have they committed that they were not prosecuted for?

He is religious. He is merely upholding the Torah's explicit command of how to interact with the enemy in your midst. Look it up yourself!
13. Extreme Rightist
David M.   (06.30.11)
Whenever you disagree with someone you call them nationalists or rightists. I have never seen you using the term "leftist" and especially not "an extreme leftist" when describing Betzelem or Amira Hass, not to mention Avital or Beilin.
14. Another Goldstone
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.30.11)
Our extreme leftists are allowed to express their opinion and nothing is done. Even if they go to level of calling for the murder of other Israelis that disagree with them, but those on the right are muzzled. The book in question deals with actions during war to protect our citizens. It happens to be in line with the guidelines of the Geneva Convention. Has the author of the book been questioned or arrested - no he hasn't. Yet Rabbi Lior for the offense of endorsing said book has been dragged to worthless questioning. Here other religious Jews have the effrontery to voice their opinion. I wonder how many of them for being arrested for that.
15. 2 & 3
Birdi ,   Israel   (06.30.11)
Whenever you post here you have the audacity to twist the article. Ben-Gvir did not incite violence, he demanded that Neeman apologize to Rabbi Lior for supporting his arrest. To jail someone for his opinions or tell him to leave this country is not democratic. Israel is a democratic country, remember?
16. Birdi #15
Stan ,   Israel   (06.30.11)
You are so right ...... then how is it that Ittamar Ben Gvir was not punished when he ripped the emblem off Prime Minister Rabin's official car. ?
17. 16
Birdi ,   Israel   (07.01.11)
Stan, I dont work for the police department so I cannot answer your question.
