We do come together when faced with our enemies. Israel will always have the support of the 'world jewry' in dealing with overt anti-semitism and/or threats of physical harm. Now we have that promising assurance out of the way, we need to come together as a people on other important fronts like social, political, intellectual, philosophical ones as well. We need real understanding that goes across secular/religious lines, we need to work and be together to establish important alliances (based on mutual respect and common values) with the many non-Jewish supporters who have been waiting for that moment with bated breath. I have been searching my secular Western soul for ways to find rapprochement with those fellow Jews who seem to be stuck in ancient centuries. I hope they are searching also. Maybe the others here have missed it,but the reference in the ad seems to be to the story of William Tell.He was forced by the Austrian governor to shoot an apple off his own son's head with a crossbow in order to gain his freedom.....and did it.
