1. The "activists" (pseudo-terrorists) ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.01.11)
... are not getting the message. They appear not to understand what every country in the world understands -- the flotilla will not be allowed to breach Israel's blockade. NOT BE ALLOWED. Don't the idiots understand that Greece (and other countries) are trying to save their lives? Then again, if the flotilla participants are really all that anxious to die on behalf of a terrorist rabble -- so be it. There is only so much you can do to protect people from themselves .....
2. And they call it a flotilla of law-abidings...
go figure   (07.01.11)
3. Flotilla of Obama's friend
eric zimerman   (07.01.11)
With friends like these who needs enemies. And why Jews still contribute to the campaign of their enemies??? It must always remain a mystery...
4. These american extremists are lost jewish souls
Kalman ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.01.11)
Who else would be so adamant on Israel's destruction besides arabs? These are the same extremists who voted for the current US president in order to destroy the US.
5. Yeah, that's what Gazans need... letters for children
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (07.01.11)
Even these useful idiots know there's no humanitarian crisis in Gaza. This is provocation, pure and simple.
6. Jail
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (07.01.11)
All passenger and crew must go on jail for breaking Greek's law
7. Sink the damn ship. Let the chips fall where they may!
Dan ,   USA   (07.01.11)
Let them enjoy the sharks.
8. the blockade is legal! and there is no humanitarian crisis!
lauren ,   NY   (07.01.11)
according to the law of blockade which was derived from customary international law and codified in the 1909 Declaration of London. It was updated in 1994 in a legally recognized document called the “San Remo Manual on International Law Applicable to Armed Conflicts at Sea.” Under some of the key rules, a blockade must be declared and notified to all belligerents and neutral states, access to neutral ports cannot be blocked, and an area can only be blockaded which is under enemy control. “On the basis that Hamas is the ruling entity of Gaza and Israel is in the midst of an armed struggle against that ruling entity, the blockade is legal”
9. my kids are still wating for their letters of support!!!
tami ,   sderot, israel   (07.01.11)
i live in sderot and my kids sleep in a concrete room without windows so they won't get hurt from the rockets the gazans throw at them!
10. LETTERS FOR CHILDREN
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (07.01.11)
"The vessel is mostly carrying thousands of letters for Gaza's children, the activists said." Which is a genteel way of using children as human shields while throwing abuse at Israel. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
11. Shapira --NOT a pilot
Alfred ,   Raanana, Israel   (07.01.11)
One lie breeds another. Shapira was NEVER an Israeli pilot but a navigator -- a BIG difference. He is the one who defaced the Warsaw Ghetto Museum. Now he is on to Gaza. Wonder what is really bugging him and who is financing him.
12. How can somebody born and raised in the West work so strenuo
Stephen in New York   (07.01.11)
Many flotilla participants and supporters state that Hamas is the legitimate government of Gaza and that the Hamas are freedom fighters. This effort is all about true useful idiots who simply support Hamas. How can somebody born and raised in the West work so strenuously for the interests of Iran?
13. what about a letter for gilad shalit???
caroline ,   UK   (07.01.11)
what about the kids of sderot and the israeli south??? thousands of missiles are not enough??? the israeli kids need to bag for the media coverage and the letters??? i guess the world has left the israeli kids behind...
14. "Peace Activists"
Abu Yussef al Yahudi ,   Bue_Aires_Argentina   (07.01.11)
If these Anti-Semites, Anti-Israel people, pretending they are "Peace Activist", continues with the provocation against the rigth of Israel to defend her citizens from the Hamas killers, this time SINK the Boats, rescue the survivors, if there are some left, (As commanded by the International Maritime Law) and throw them in jail, in spite of their violations of the Israel's Sovereignty, and the violation too of the International Law regarding the on purpose breaking of an Internationaly Recognized Legal Blockade.
15. To: Alfred at No. 11
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.01.11)
Correct. HUGE difference between a pilot and a navigator. What's bugging him is that he is a self-hating Jew. I think that a herem should be put on him and that he be stripped of Israeli citizenship. I'm sure he'll have a lovely time living in Gaza.
16. Do not Americans like baseball?
grinder ,   n/a   (07.01.11)
You people be at home on your filthy couch drinking budwizer in your trailer scratching your big harry belly and watching some baseball. Not out at sea breaking international law in every port of call you snail slime into. Yankey go home and stay there. You do not have to show the whole world how stupid you are, we know you are stupid. Mind your own darn business.
17. Sarah B / 1
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (07.01.11)
These sort of people are what Darwin awards were made for.
18. less than bold anchor's aweigh
daze ,   US   (07.01.11)
They knew and prayed that the Greeks would stop them, they are so phony. It is less embarrassing to be stopped trying to execute a mission than to never leave port. I hope they go green and recycle all those phony letters-save a tree, now thats noble
19. Keep them at prisoners, until polard set free!
Shimon   (07.01.11)
20. What a G-d-forsaken bunch of...
Moragh   (07.01.11)
idiots are on those boats. Into the bargain I can only assume that these empty-headed idiots paid a high price just to watch some killings. Their (the idiots) hoping they could sit back and watch some Jews being murdered. What kind of hopeless, pitiful creatures are being born??? No, I no longer understand G-d!
21. Under San Remo the boat counts as "violent intentions"
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (07.01.11)
Under the San Remo Manuel the mere attempt to break the blockade counts as "violent intentions." Israel can not let in even 1 dingy let alone a flotilla and still keep the right to prevent Iranian Combat vessels from entering let alone another Katrina A full of weapons. Since they are only carrying mail it can enter via the land process the same as legitimate humanitarian aide.
22. Consequences of Ones' Actions
Douglas Fireman ,   Chicago, USA   (07.01.11)
If the flotilla activists have such overriding support for the Palestinians that they are willing to endanger their own lives to provoke Israel, then the consequences of their actions could be very dire indeed-and deservedly so.
23. Sarah/B
ray ,   Zurich /Israel   (07.01.11)
like to tell you most if not all your talkbacks I agree with .As a Irish Citizen (non jewish) married to Israeli jewish womanI have served in the Israeli army at the age of 38 years old until my 50 birthday I am proud of my Israel passport and my support of Israel. QUESTION?? Why can we not as an nation prove to people that all we want is a Secure Israel. Why do they HATE us (most europian countries) when we are the only democratic country in the Middle East
24. these Flotilla fools have.......
tiki ,   belgium   (07.01.11)
not ONE, but a whole machinery of screws, loose in their heads. Slowly but surely they start to p... of everybody and get on everybody's nerve. Even the people of Gaza don't give a S... if they come or not. These Flotillala's can't give them anything that they don't have already. Old and dated junk & letters for children..... pleeeeease!
25. #9 your case is living proof of ineffective (illegal) siege
observer ,   Egypt   (07.01.11)
On 13 May 1948, Najd was occupied by the Negev Brigade as part of Operation Barak, before Israel was declared a state and before any Arab armies entered Palestine. The villagers were expelled and fled to Gaza. In 1951, the town of Sderot was built on the village's lands. According to UN Resolution 194 and also the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 13, Section 2, the villagers of Najd have a right to return home to their personal property and to their native village.
26. #21 on the condition that blockade is not illegal
observer ,   Egypt   (07.01.11)
the siege lacks one or all of the following: being effective, continuous, and not selective.
27. #19 - no keep them until Shalit is free
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (07.01.11)
28. #12Stephen in NY;;; THEY HAVE A LEADER
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (07.01.11)
And he is YOUR president,BH Obama. Mind you,I'm not sure that he fits your 'born in the West' category. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
29. all israeli's on board upon capture or return to israel
ralph   (07.01.11)
must be charged with treason.
30. I'm cracking up with laughter. Letters for the children?
Harry Wright ,   UK   (07.01.11)
Santa must be really seeing hard times. OMG! What an INSULT! It is getting more and more ridiculous. Their view of the Pales must be rather contemptuous while their view of themselves must be quite extraordinarily inflated. Such utter a**holes - it is unbelievable.
