27. @,,,#9 Greece is paying and its only the beginning
Marcy ,   U.K.   (07.02.11)
Greece is paying dearly, they are broke, so much civil unrest it's a wonder this Greek Spring hasn't taken more lives than it has, they just had a light earthquake the other day and having light tremors quite frequently, will Israel be there for Greece when the big Earthquake no doubt comes. This is getting to be very interesting.
28. Arrogant idiots
Shaul R ,   Portland, USA   (07.02.11)
They are admitting that they are 'defying the policies of their own country' and breaking the Greek law, BUT they are unarmed civilians that ONLY want to go to Gaza (which means breaking international laws and provoking a confrontation with another state's army). Under normal circumstances they would be boarded and arrested within minutes - Greek coast guard does not screw around. I have dealt with Greek coast guard, I know. They were handled with extreme kid gloves, I presume mainly because of the press aboard. All their posturing is ludicrous. I loved it when they did their 'kumbaya' schpiel, as if anyone cares. Heroes, indeed. All they are doing is wasting a lot of energy, attention and time of people who should be doing more serious things, just to satisfy their own egos, pampered by their perceived 'privileged' status of US citizens. 'Audacity of Hope'... This is not some virtual reality game. Not everything in the world can be changed by rhetorical spin, as the author of the eponymous book might have led them to believe. They are dealing with serious people entrusted to uphold and protect the laws and integrity of their countries, by force, if necessary. By their actions they are thrusting themselves in the middle of war. Sorry, kids, but singing 'kumbaya' just won't do. You break the law, you take the consequences. Don't like the laws, take it up with your duly elected representatives. Can't take the heat, as they say, stay out of the kitchen.
29. Thank you Greece!
Yitzhak ,   Israel   (07.02.11)
30. Great job!
Steve ,   USA   (07.02.11)
Great job by the Greek Coast Guard not letting these radical, terror supporting wackos to continue and for arresting the very irresponsible ship's Captain! His license should be revoked and his ship impounded.
