Evi ,   Jerusalem - London   (07.04.11)
Could not agree with you both more. We, the non muslims, are in terrible danger and most of us still can not see it. This has nothing to do with Israel and arabs, but a lot to do with islam against everything that is not. We, Christians and Jews MUST unite, we must face the hoards of invaders together. We can not outnumber them, but we can outsmart them, outmanoeuvre them and outfight them... But only if we are united. Best to you, Linichka and The Great Greeks that stud HIGH for what is right.
32. #30 NYC Girl
Kostas ,   NY USA   (07.04.11)
At least in Greece where the left had influenced mainstream thinking, anti-Israeli sentiment was tied directly to America. If the shoe was in the other foot and America was helping the Palestinians, they'd be pro Israeli.... guaranteed! Now of course with all the illegals flooding Greece and ultra-violent crime on the rise, mainstream thinking in Greece is being shifted. For one, the commies help those illegals cause trouble, and secondly the dire financial straits that Greece is in, both are painting the picture that Greece cannot side with the wrong people and be prosperous. See the post from Salma? She wants to "boycott Greek"... For one incident! Never mind that Greece has been taking her side for decades. One time is all it takes. They are finally being exposed!
33. #22 and #32
Michael ,   NYC   (07.04.11)
Kostas, the Greeks have nothing to worry about from a boycott by Salma and her ilk. As you can see, the Arabs have been boycotting Israel for decades. Which economy in the middle east is the strongest? Israel's. Which is the weakest basket case dependent on foreign aid? The Arabs living in the West Bank and Gaza, having NOTHING to do with Israel's blockade of terrorists in Gaza. So, no worries about a Salma led blockade.
34. #4 Moshe
Anadelfos ,   Athens Greece   (07.04.11)
Dear Moshe I think you are wrong. Greece received in return thousands of arab illegal immigrants, but the main gift was given at July 7 1988 when 3 gunmen from Abu Nidal Organisation captured the passenger ship "City of Poros" and consequently killed 9 tourists. In a similar manner Italy at October 7 1985, received the capture of "Achille Lauro" and the killing of the disabled jew Leon Klinghoffer. Aren't these great returns? How can they be forgoten?
35. The Greeks will use their Trojan Horse
Murat ,   Antalya&Turkey   (07.04.11)
So, Greece is Israel's new friend. Then Israel doesn't need anymore enemies. Israel, keep an eye on the Trojan Horse of the Greeks. They smile first...then they will stab you from your back. Be aware !
36. New realities
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (07.04.11)
Here in the Middle East things are changing. All of the Arab regimes are rule by fascists and are so corrupt and ready to fall that they are unable to help themselves let alone want to help non-Muslims. Second we have never attacked or threatened anybody. Third we are of the most powerful countries in the world and certainly the strongest by far in the Middle East. Fourth we have massive investments in other countries, heck we have bought over $50 billion in US debts, 2nd only to China. Greece knows that if they have a shot of reform we will be there to invest, Arabs never will be there. Fifth we are the technological powerhouse, only the US is ahead of us there. Sixth our economy is stronger than the rest of the world and they know it. Seventh we will become an exporter of energy soon, enough to compete with the Arabs themselves and a very short distance from Greece. In short there is every reason to be our friends and not a single one to support the Arabs who won't be there even in the next couple of years.
37. #35 Murad
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (07.04.11)
Just what would you call Turkey's turning it's back on Israel, becoming Islamist, and joining the enemies of Israel, an act of friendship ? Or the extermination of more than 1,000,000 Armenian's by Turkey, a act of mercy ?
38. Murat #35
Greek ,   Greece   (07.04.11)
Murat don't cry for me Argentina. Greeks never betrayed their alliances. We have World History to prove it. What about Turkey that played with the Nazis until the very end. Don't act like a crying baby. After all the Trojans Murat spoke the same language and shared the same Gods with Ancient Greeks What is your problem? They did not come from the steppes of Mongolia. Please stop crying.
39. #35 as Turks did?
Andreas ,   Ellada   (07.04.11)
40. #35 Murat saol
Anadelfos ,   Athens Greece   (07.04.11)
Dear Murat thank you for your kind words. The last time I checked, Truva was in Turkey with a replica of Trojan Horse to attract the tourists.BTW why do you hate us so much?
41. Greece is about as rich as Obama's America.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.04.11)
It's time to enlarge trade with our friend, Greece. We have much in common. Greece may be going through economic turbulence today but it is about as rich as Obama's America. Perhaps richer.
42. #40 they hate us because of jealousy
(07.04.11)
43. #22. Real Israel, real energy versus fictional Palestine!
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.04.11)
#22 Salma. Nobody worries about fictional Palestine boycotts. It's rather like being boycotted by Oz and Neverland. Nobody would ever notice the difference. The evil Palestine fairy tale will end when donors stop being played for suckers. It's coming sooner than you think. Israel is about to be a major energy power. Real Israel and real energy versus fictional Palestine! Not a tough choice to make.
44. 41 Chaim
Maria ,   Athens   (07.04.11)
You are right, Greece the state is going through economic turbulence at the moment, and it is a critical moment of collective reflection for us-but let us not forget that the largest merchant fleet in the world continues to be Greek-owned.
45. 40 we dont hate you
anton ,   istanbul turkey   (07.05.11)
but cant say that we like you too for obvious reasons i simply couldnt care less for greece as for the new allience best of luck to both party i think this is good for israel for greece and for turkey win win win
46. Maria #41 you have a beautiful country
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (07.05.11)
I love the Greece islands and will never go to Turkey. We are more than ready to meet you half way. We have money to invest and the technology to help you. Our arms industry is one of the strongest and we both have Islamists on our borders. We have no claims on anything Greek and we have no intention of telling you want to do. We ask for the same in return.
47. Careful on this one, Israelis
Cameron ,   USA   (07.05.11)
Bemused as I am over the posting and talkbacks crowing over their amazing new Greek friends, Israelis would do well to keep their cynical Realpolitik shades on when considering this overnight "Greek alliance". Remember, this is a matter of Greeks & Israelis using eachother, for the moment, to achieve their distinct and separate ends. "For the moment".......always bear that cold fact in mind. Be realistic as to the benefits truly possible with an alliance with a Greece that has absolutely run itself into the ground, and that the Greeks are acting on Israel's behalf out of desperation and Israeli payoff rather than any real sense of disapproval over the nonsense Gaza flotilla. Let the outcome of years catering and currying to the Turks in search of a ME friend serve as a warning to this game. The Greeks can turn on you just as fast. Beware of Greeks expecting gifts.
48. No. 22 Salma
Madeleine ,   Rehovot Israel   (07.05.11)
Wow! I'm sure your boycott will make a vast difference to the Greek economy! What exactly can you pathetic creatures withhold from them? The Greeks must be trembling in their shoes at the thought of a possible "Palestinian" boycott. by the way - has anyone decided yet just where Palestine is?

51. THE ENEMY OF MY ENEMY IS MY FRIEND
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (07.05.11)
Greece and Turkey have a long standing dispute, which we should use to our advantage One should remember it wasn't the contemporary Greeks that slaughtered more than a million Armenians & Kurds, it was the Turks
52. To: No. 22
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.06.11)
Go right ahead. No one cares about you anymore. You are old and tired news. Shouldn't you be packing, anyway?
53. Hellas Israel
Manwlhs ,   Kefalonia   (07.06.11)
It is about time the two countries work together for the mutual benefit. Finally in Greece, a hidden stream of deeply pro-Israeli Greeks is emerging. Future dominance in Mediterranean will only occur through an alliance with Yisrael.
54. on #4, moshe
joel ,   usa   (07.07.11)
