1. Israel cannot be forced to assist
Gabriel ,   Budapest, Eurabia   (07.06.11)
If they want to visit "Palestine", they should enter Gaza from Egypt. They are preparing to enter Israel in order to use its territory as a "bridge" to reach their terrorist friends, as well to undermine Israel's image and show the Jewish State as an "apartheid state", by sending false propaganda via Palestinian media and Al Djazeera. Israel should not assist to this propaganda activtiy, i.e. El Al security men should not allow on board activists wishing to visit the enemy entity called "Palestine".
2. A better lie would be...
joe ,   Israel   (07.06.11)
A better lie would be "I am going to Eilat" that is more credible than saying "I am planting trees in Ramallah" maybe they will plant a tree, but that is not their real intention, incitement is the name of the game.
3. Visitors to Israel display Israeli flags, counter protest
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (07.06.11)
stickers on suitcases, patches sewn on clothes, small flags in hand. Make it clear which side you're on. Sing ha-Tiqvah together, dance the hora w/others, enjoy Israel. Join religious Jews when they pray (just stand quietly behind them in silent prayer and support if you don't know how to pray) Paqid Yirmeyahu Paqid 16, The Netzarim, Ra'anana, Israel Israeli Torah-observant Jew: Teimani, Baladi, Dor Dai Advocate for Discrete Logic as Hermeneutic Halakhic Authority Welcoming all who choose to keep Torah (When questions to me go unanswered, they have refused to post it. 4. thats not what they were saying before
zionist forever   (07.06.11)
Today they just want to be tourists and show solidarity with the palestinians but for months now they have been saying how they intend to fly into Ben Gurion where they intend to hold mass demonstrations. Now security at immigration has been beefed up and they are told not to let certain people into the country they have decided they just want to be torusists not trouble makers. If they want to vist the palestinians then they should fly to Jordan or Egypt and pass into Judea & Samaria or Gaza from those countries no need to enter the zionist entity. We need to keep these trouble makers out of Israel like any other sane country would do.
5. 'Kids with private baggage.
tiki ,   belgium   (07.06.11)
One should tell these ''''kids with private bagage, that if they sooo much want to visit their friends in Ramalah and Betlehem, they can go throught AMMAN (there's an airport, last time I checked). Israel, like Jordan, Britain, US or any other country can decide not to let a person into it's territory.
6. activists
jeremy ,   hula valley kibbutz   (07.06.11)
If you only want to visit the Palestinians, that's fine, then either go into Gaza via Egypt or Jordan on the Allenby Bridge. Just don't come into Israel proper. Your not welcome in my country, we have enough of our own leftest loonies
7. THERE IS NO PALESTINE
Jewess in Jerusalem ,   JERUSALEM ISRAEL   (07.06.11)
IF YOU WANT TO VISIT ARABS IN ISRAEL THEN GO THROUGH JORDAN AND STAY OUT OF OUR HOMELAND
8. Democracy, what democracy?
jane   (07.06.11)
Don't real democracies tolerate protests? Israel ,only knows two things: silence the debate or shoot the protestor
9. Uninvited tourists
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (07.06.11)
Let them come,it's good for El Al,good for the economy, let them go wherever they like, but first,Israel should take them to syria, then to Gaza, ramalla, west bank, and let them compare conditions, maybe they'll sober up.
10. Detain them for 12 or 16 hours....
David ,   Hartford USA   (07.06.11)
That should drain their energy. Heck, I've been detained for hours while security does their thing- so holding these idiots for many hours shouldn't be a problem. Just have them stand in a corner of the airport for 12 hours...
11. If you want to go to Palestine you buy a ticket for Amman.
USA   (07.06.11)
12. ## 6 & 7 Breath taking ignorance!
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor, UK   (07.06.11)
Both of you live in Israel, but haven't got a clue on access from Jordan to the Occupied Westbank. The access from Jordan is via EXCLUSIVE Israeli border post, situated at the western side of the King Hussein Bridge (formerly Allenby Bridge) over the Jordan River. Yes, it is Palestinian occupied territory, but If you want to go to Jericho, Jerusalem, Ramallah, Nablus, where ever in occupied Palestine (or Israel for that matter) you first have to pass the Israeli border control! There is a Palestinian border post near Jericho, but it is Israel that has overall control. Get that in your head, please!
13. Let them go into Gaza!
Eytan ,   ISrael   (07.06.11)
Through Egypt!!!!!!!! i wonder why they are not protesting in Egypt...
14. the law
Natalie ,   Latvia   (07.06.11)
I think you have to act within the law, but the law has not be hasty, has it? And now in summer I expect a lot of judges to be on vacations. So the activists just will have to wait for a little while. I hope not every one of your prisons has air conditioners?
15. Liar and fool
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (07.06.11)
If he wants to travel to Gaza, he can enter through Egypt. If he wants, he can visit Ramallah or Bethlehem like any one of the thousands of other tourists. If he is refused entry on suspicion that he intends to violate the terms of his visa, he must return to his port of origin at the expense of the carrier. If he protests refusal, he should be treated exactly like the US border guards treat people.
16. Our visit is between us and the Palestinians
(07.06.11)
17. "only want to tour Palestine"?Excellent, buy ticket to Amman
leo ,   usa   (07.06.11)
18. Way to go
Mike Van Harris ,   Antwerp Belgium   (07.06.11)
I wish i can join them. Viva La France, Viva Palestine.
19. What a bunch of hypocrites
Paul ,   London, UK   (07.06.11)
amazing, how many country bar Israeli citizens from entering their country(or ones with "jewish" sounding names) without a peep from any activists! they are just hypocrites. why dont they go to "Palestine" through Egypt or Jordan????
20. #12 you don't live in Israel, wonder if other
ghostq   (07.06.11)
things he do with remote controll. where is the mute button?
21. playing in Israel's turf
(07.06.11)
coming into Israel, these provocateurs are playing by Israel's rules, and as such, Israel can finish this the best way possible. the best course of action will be: block any cellphone or internet communication in the airport area. arrest anyone who causes trouble, strip them away of their phones and cameras send them back home without any evidence that they even did something. the worst thing that can happen to obvious provocateurs is lack of evidence.
22. #12 Alofs, get this into your head....
Phil ,   Ireland   (07.06.11)
There is no Palestinian state, therefore there is no Palestinian border!! Cop On!!
23. #18 Of course you do....
Phil ,   Ireland   (07.06.11)
But your armchair is too comfortable. Vauxhall Viva!
24. "Between us and the 'Palestinians'"
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.06.11)
Well, the problem is that you are planning on flying into the State of Israel, so it isn't just between you and the ersatz "Palestinians." There's a sovereign state -- Israel -- involved. Consider trying Jordan, or crossing into Gaza through Egypt. We are not going to allow your sorry asses in our beautiful country.
25. where is Palestine?
IlanaB   (07.06.11)
Do they want to go to Jordan? What is wrong with these people? Go protest the abusive conditions in Syria. Or any other muslim country.
26. It's amazing...
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (07.06.11)
To see so many "Palestine" and "Palestinians" written in many talkbacks on here, not even recognizing Palestine doesn't exist (prove it). But these are the same people demanding Palestinians recognize Israel. I love how you people think, it's amazing.
27. "The visit is strictly between us and the Palestinians."
Joseph Katz ,   Jerusalem   (07.06.11)
The visit is, however, made possible and easy courtesy the State of Israel, its international airport, magnificent roads, organized police force, hotel amenities and other marvels that will make you visit to the Palestinians pleasant, confortable and in accordance with your expectations of a civilized country. Thank you for paying attention to this.
28. #26 When was the last time "Palestine" was sovereign ??
(07.06.11)
And prove it, please.
29. Why wouldn't Israel let them in?
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (07.06.11)
I mean, if they check their bags for the "weapons" and don't find any, why prevent them from entering Palestine through Israel? You play right into the activists hand. It's obvious why they choose to cross through Israel, and it's a smart move on their part. But if course, Israel has to play along by preventing unarmed people from entering Palestine, further ruining their image. Why? Is it because Israel is trying to hide the conditions in the West Bank and Gaza? Or is this how democracy works?
30. why Jordan or Egypt?
Dino Domingo ,   Vancouver, Canada   (07.06.11)
a demonstration or protest should be allowed in a democratic country so since Israel claims it is the most democratic in the hell hole we call the middle east what's the problem for people to land in Israel? you people continuously talk about how your country is far more democratic and a better place than any surrounding country...these protests happen all over the western world, there is no real need to go through Jordan or Egypt or anywhere else because the protests are for your citizens to experience! the world is making a statement...even citizens that were in the holocaust are protesting...don't you think you should listen...or are you just as bad as your neighbors? I'm not surprised at how you people think, I'm just surprised you think you live in a democracy!
