1. True..but funny all the same...
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (07.07.11)
It seems that whenever these false 'crises' promoted by the government with willing media stooges occur, the only ones benefiting are those whose jobs are 'security'. It engenders an unrwarranted fear among the population which only the 'brave' security services can 'ameliorate'. Therefore give the 'security' services more money and power and all will be well. Why should Israelis care whether or not tourists come into the airport and denounce Israeli policies? They are screened before arrival to ensure they have no weapons. Or, is the real reason to ensure that only those 'friendly' to the current regime are acceptable? We are beset everyday with warnings from these 'security' minded 'Chicken Littles' that..." the sky is falling..". And when it doesn't fall, we are regaled with more propaganda that the reason the 'sky' didn't fall was because of the 'brave (Name one: Shin Bet, IDF, Mossad, Government Ministry, Airport Security, Customs Agent etc.etc.) who prevented such a catastrophe. Really comical how so many are so duped again and again. Fear, and the perception of such fear, coninually plays into the hands of these thieves. And the continual drumbeat goes on.... By the way, how much time and money has this latest hysterical rant cost? Enquiring minds would like to know...
2. We should declare a fly in every week
Abdalla   (07.07.11)
Just make the Israelis waste money time and give them a headache
3. The only hysterical one seems to be Zisovitz
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (07.07.11)
In the aftermath of the 2010 flotilla disaster, the question was, "Why weren't we better prepared?" The message conveyed by Netanyahu and others is, "We're prepared for anything. So don't test us." This message is also conveyed diplomatically and through the airlines so they don't take a cavalier attitude as many did last year. This is prime tourist season, and Israel wants no disruption at its main point of entry. In the meantime, Israel is going about its business. The only hysterical one, Haim, seems to be you.
4. to Abdulla @#2
Ehud ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.07.11)
Abdulla, ever think of using your talents and energies doing something positive
5. #1 The only false crisis...
Phil ,   Ireland   (07.07.11)
...is the ridiculous claim of starving Palestinians in dire need of aid. What a sham!
6. No. 2 Abdalla
Madeleine ,   Rehovot Israel   (07.07.11)
And what the h ell would you gain by this? obviously you lot have nothing better to do with your time. We should be much stricter about who we let into this country, just as the Americans are. you are not wanted, here or anywhere, and are not welcome. If you come here merely to protest you'll be turned back. Second time, if you even get on the plance, you'll be arrested. You really are pathetic.
7. Abdalla your place in in Saudi Arabia
Anna M Sedda ,   Rome -Italy   (07.07.11)
8. #1. Enquiring minds...
Tom ,   USA   (07.07.11)
want to know what would Homel.Security Dept. do if 600 USA hating "tourist" started a raucous protest at N.Y. Kennedy or in the City bashing the Kenyan... So, what's is the thinking at the Islamofascist Central in your living room? You're oozing of sour grapes... The cost: the $$$$ collected by El-Al for tickets cover the cost of kicking your Jihadist friends out.
9. Ehud / 4
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (07.07.11)
I think part of the problem is that they have no talents.
10. We'd be blessed if fly-ins was all that was done to Israel
Yaniv ,   Israel   (07.07.11)
For every terrorist protesting against us, it's one less terrorist killing our children.
11. To 5: and the holocaust...
Jim   (07.07.11)
12. fly-in
fcf ,   israel   (07.07.11)
rather be safe than sorry............... let those that come see BEAUTIFUL ISRAEL. we can be proud of our country and its achievements. with all our problems we are blossoming................. jealousy can kill............................. we have nothing to hide.
13. The only Histeria is the Media's
Historia ,   Hysteria   (07.07.11)
14. 2- Abdyallah
Uzziel   (07.07.11)
Israel is using a soft approach, unlike the dictators that rule your lives. But if you want to make a fly in every week no problem at all. Israel should then place every of these individuals in administrative detention in an open air camp under the sun and fine them with a couple of thousand of dollars each. This way Israel would recover the money and the members of the "flightilla" would have the headaches.
15. You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't
tiki ,   belgium   (07.07.11)
There are people who just can't be pleased. If you don't do anything (and something happens), they scream why you didn't do anything. If you do something, they complain it's to much fuss over nothing. It can't be helped. As the saying goes: "He, who doesn't prepare for shabat, doesn't eat on shabat". Wise words for all the chronic complainers & side line critics.
16. advise from 'Haim Ziscovitz as the
tiki ,   belgium   (07.07.11)
""Media advisor, head of communication unit at BIU, School of Communication"". With all due respect....if there is 'ONE area in which Israel is in 'need of good advice, because it's doing a very poor job.....,it's in Communication and Media advise. Maybe mr. Zisovitz should stop criticizing and 'improve the standard of his Media advise & Communication lectures given to his students. Israel has enough critics and deserves better Media & Communication advisors.
17. To: No. 1
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.07.11)
So you have no problem with the United States actively screening to prevent undesirable tourists from entering the United States, but you raise vehement objections if Israel does the same? What do you think that says about your "credibility" as an objective commentator? In case you are not aware, on average, 10,000 foreigners entering the United States with proper visas are turned away DAILY and put on the next available flight back to their countries. Ten thousand. And you have a problem with Israel actively seeking to turn away 300?
18. Flotilla / Flytilla make activists look ridiculous
GZLives   (07.07.11)
And I'd bet its only helping boost Israel's image showing the world what Israel faces day in and day out. I'll bet the Arabs have lost a great deal of stature, hurt their cause and will continue to hurt themselves with nonsense like this especially while Arab countries surrounding Israel are experiencing semi revolution and murderous regimes killing real peaceful demonstrations about very real oppression.
19. #5 and #8....So paranoid it's funny...
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (07.07.11)
Pity you are so scared of your own shadows. Be afraid...be very afraid...and lie about how courageous you are to everyone you meet or contact. What a brave front when you're cowering in your boots. Why is this such a problem that the entire Israeli and pro-zionist media is so concerned? Isn't this really a 'tempest in a teapot'? And neither of you will answer, merely attack. Get some help, boys, you need it.
20. To number 2
Aviva. ,   Israel.   (07.07.11)
You are a barbarian and the whole world can see what savages we have to deal with.
21. To number 5
Aviva ,   Israel.   (07.07.11)
You are an airhead and have no clue what it is like living in ISRAEL.
22. Sailor boy nobody is afraid we are cautious
Ari ,   Israel   (07.07.11)
On top of that we are very comunicative and acting in a very clear way. No second intentions. Just protect us from crazy people like you, we don't do half of what the States do when someone enters american soil. They take finger prints, you have to submit passport before fliying to see if you are in a wanted list etc Besides Israel does not have to give you explanations. Israel is a sovereign country and takes it's own security mesures
23. Zisovitz : the far left strikes again with absurdity
(07.07.11)
24. #19 So where is the crisis in Gaza??
Phil ,   Ireland   (07.07.11)
It doesn't exist. These protesters have to go home now and suck their thumbs.
25. "Israel" proves it's a coward again.
Salma ,   Palestine   (07.07.11)
26. needless critiques
alexi   (07.08.11)
vilnia and especially ahronovitch have been doing very good work in homeland and general security matters including the new aerial fleet of fireplanes whose past omission by olmert and livni proves how incompetent and ignorant they were of disaster planning. In fact these 2 should be nowhere near anything to do with security and disaster decisions. Israelis have to be prepared and on this flotilla are doing a good job so far. Far better than the last time when paintball guns were distributed in a stupid dumbassed decision either conceived or approved by barak.
27. For #22....You make my point, thanks
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (07.08.11)
'We are not afraid, merely cautious'? You have to be kidding. So, why the show of military force? You must be quaking in your boots. As to the US, the first lesson for Israelis must be when confronted with the idiocy of their positions, to point out someone else. Are you really that intellectually dishonest? 'Never reflect, always attack' seems to be your country's motto. So, tell me, oh cowardly Israeli, should you use guns or tanks to prevent non-violent protesters?
28. Mikesailor
Anna ,   Montreal, Canada   (07.08.11)
And how should cowardly Israeli have to reflect the invasion on their land group of idiots who proudly announced of their unfriendly intentions toward the host country in which they are flying? It is you who attacks like a bully anyone who points at the lies your people spread around. You, Mikefailor, don't use this blog to promote understanding and peace but opposite. You are the provocateur whose talkbacks is a waste of time.
29. "27. What would Homeland Sec. do?
Tom ,   USA   (07.08.11)
If 600 anti-American foreigner invaded JFK airport and started bashing the Kenyan for bombing ...how many? ... 5? 6? countries? Even one protester would set in motion all the SWAT-team of N.Y.C. The bottomless, festering Jew -hatred clouded your rational thinking.
30. hysteria
Bella ,   USA   (07.08.11)
of all the things Israelis have to worry about, playing into the hands of the enemy is certainly not one of them
