can somebody, anybody finally tell us where is palestine? where were its previous borders? where were the maritime borderes and where is the history of "palestinians", their coin, government, kings and country? i believe no one can since it never existed. YOU ARE SIMPLY ARABS AND ARABS ARE ARABS.
6. FACE THE FACTS, THE PIGGYBACK
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (07.10.11)
When Israel made the tremendous discovery of the Gas Fields out at sea, immediately the Lebanese tried to piggyback on the find. In this paper (YNet) they published a rare criticism by a Lebanese writer, in a Lebanese paper, criticizing their government in Lebanon. Basically the Lebanese writer said why is it always Israel that makes these discoveries. That Lebanon didn't even have any research departments, scientific departments, that Lebanon had absolutely NOTHING in the country working on this. That now, Lebanon wants to make claims on work done completely by another country, and one they consider to be an enemy at that. Whether this Arab writer is still alive I don't know. But I remember thinking he had some guts writing an article so critical of his own government. But what he said was and is true. The Arab world is so caught up in hatreds between themselves and the imagined hatreds against Israel they invent and do NOTHING. Nothing to help themselves, Nothing to benefit mankind. Like here, they just whine about what they want, rights to Gas that Israel beat them to again. The humiliation is what drives their hate. Even if they get some of the Gas, they have to admit it was ALL by the work of Israel and their continued brilliance in science. All they will ever be, is piggy-backers, I thought they could eat pork?

Your right this is another source of future conflict and will probably spark another war with Lebanon. There is to much money and political capital at stake for wither side to compromise so don't be surprised if we go to war with Lebanon sometime soon to protect the ownership of our gas fields.
9. Salma a history for you on Israeli Borders..
RichInBoston ,   Boston USA   (07.10.11)
The Israeli borders were closely defined by the UN in resulution 181, Perhaps you've seen it? The result was an attempted war of annihilation on the Jewish State and its people by neighboring Arab countries. Perhaps you've read about it? The result is the Jewish state defended itself assimilating land to protect its people from the aggessor neighbors. So you see, the neighboring Arab countries define Israel's borders. Perhaps one day you'll understand.

Since Israel is so-to-speak going to "bring home the bacon" with this gas find, Arab muslims in Lebanon have decided that they too would love some pork. Their imams are ready to make it h'alal...with missiles if necessary.

lieberman is talked about in turkey's erdogan and in syria and egypt where he is feared for being forthright and having the idf rank and file right behind him.He is worth 2 divisions. Yes, real world requires compromises but only israel has offered some. The arabs have offered none period. of course barak and livni continue with their fearful obedience to the US guarantor whose pledges on security are absolutely worthless as yvette pointed out with gaza and lebanon being prime examples. US arms supply and dollars are the only advantages available. foregt about 2 state as currently envisaged. And contrary to us comments about non sustainable, right now that is ok. The balfour has to be reviewed with jordan part of mandate up for reconsideration as churchill violated its terms.
12. #3- this map from Nobel Energy is close
William ,   Israel   (07.10.11)
http://www.nobleenergyinc.com/Operations/International/Eastern-Mediterranean-128.html It shows the border going perpendicular from the land border. This is generous from the actual border which Lebanon brought to a UN meeting from 1923 showing the maritime border more North from this point. Lebanon has changed their stance and came back demanding an exact Westerly border on a set latitudinal line, regardless of topology of the coastal border point. This is what Bibi referred to when he said Lebanon brought a much more southern border map to the latest meeting. Lebanon is trying to usurp what is not their's using the famous shell game. All the benefits with the cost of exploration.

So how much you think Israel owes the Palestinian People from the Mari-B field?
14. #13 - Nothing, for two reasons
William ,   Israel   (07.11.11)
Looking at the Nobel Energy maps, the border of the explored Mari-B gas field ends at the disputed border which extends out from Gaza. In Nobel Energy documents (and others citing the gas field online) the "Mari-B gas field is 15 miles off the coast of ISRAEL". It's clearly Israeli. And "palestinians" have never actually possessed sovereignty over land, let alone the sea, thereby they are not obligated to receive Israeli energy wealth anymore than Lebanon who is trying to usurp the gas field off the coast of Haifa. If somehow Gazans did receive partial rights over Mari-B gas field, as part of the deal they would be required to pay royalties to Israel to allowed for recouping exploration capital that Israel laid out already.
