Lieberman's assertions, reveal themselves and become transparent. In that case, they will likely retract their lawsuit. However, Lieberman might then be in a position to sue them for false accusations and turn the tables.

Leiberman is the only politician who speaks the truth. Wild, mendacious and thuggish ? This is an opportunity to prove and publicise the truth. To prove that Israel is democratic and close to suicidally patient. And that it can hit back. And will.

I remind all those jumping on the band wagon to make claims against the left wing groups that there are already strict laws in Israel against assisting terrorists or being actively involved in terror groups and legal means of enforcement. Penalties for involvement in terrorist activities are harsh. If Lieberman believes in what he has said, then he also truly believes that these groups have commited criminal offences. In that case he should press charges against them in the courts and would be right to do so. If however he believes that he has no case or hard evidence and is merely voicing suspicions as if they were facts, he is in fact maligning these groups. If he is unable or unwilling to take legal action against them for terrorist activity, it leads me to suspect his opposition to these groups is merely because they have strongly opposed opinions and politics to his own. He should in this instance refrain from making lightly considered and libelous comments. The Knesset is not a court of law and Knesset members are not judges. Unfortunately Lieberman and his ilk dont seem to be able to tell the difference. It is extremely disturbing and perverse that they would turn the Knesset into a court so that anyone with a strongly opposed view could be painted as an outlaw.
