I am inclined to agree with you. Obviously, they couldn't figure out a way to put together a pile of jumbled metal that looked like it might at some point have been a drone. I remember the failed U.S. attempt to rescue the hostages that resulted in the deaths of several U.S. airmen. I will never forget the photos and videos that were released to the world showing the mullahs kicking and defiling the corpses of the American servicemen. What a primitive lot!

The big eye in the sky sees all. The United States -- and Israel -- and, for all I know, other countries as well have extremely high-resolution satellites in fixed orbit above Iran's military installations, nuclear installations and seaports. When you've got the equivalent resolution of the Hubble or the Keck telescope staring down at Iran, drones are superfluous. They must be laughing themselves silly at the Pentagon over Iran's latest desperate grasp at straw. They're laughing pretty loudly at the Ha'Kiria in Israel, too.

The Iranians finally noticed that US drones had been doing overflights, and they might actually have shot at one. Logically they missed (no physical evidence of a killed drone), but also logically (warped Iranian logic) they had to claim success regardless of actual facts. Hence the story.

I don't remember that incident. I do remember the Israeli Air Force shooting down 82 Syrian MiGs, most of them piloted by Russians in 1982 without the loss of a single Israeli plane. Perhaps you are confused.

Oh, stupid you. Israeli drones have been flying around Iranian air space for YEARS. How do you think Israel always managed to know exactly when Iranian arms convoys were shipping out of Bandar Abbas? Do you think that Israel managed to sink and/or interdict all those arms-carrying vessels because we are the Chosen People? How do you think Israel managed to blow up that Iranian arms convoy in the Sudan? How do you think Israel managed to learn about Syria's budding nuclear reactor? Israel's drone technology is unsurpassed in the world. That is why every country in the world wants to purchase it. And if Israel does sell its drones to a country or two, you can bet that it is only because such drone technology is already obsolete in Israel's arsenal. Don't you see how stupid you sound?
