31. One point, and #21
Moshe ,   Netanya   (07.22.11)
Barak is in the bussiness of selling military equipment. He has a firm. That is why he is for an apology to Turkey. Turks know it, Bibi knows it. Everyone wants money and arms deals.
32. Turkey as an ally is very important.
Michael ,   California, USA   (07.22.11)
Let's appreciate the difficult political situation of Turkey, between Muslims and Christians, between Russia and the West, between Europe and Asia. Turkey is on a crossroads and has a tough job maneuvering among the many sides. Israel faces similar situations in many ways. A Turkish - Israeli alliance would be good to both countries, so let's hope Yaalon is wrong. Israelis are returning to Turkey for vacations, I read. Some of the best vacations we had were in Turkey. Turkish workers at resorts were very friendly, easy going. They treated Israelis well, even when not reciprocated. We met many German tourists in Turkey who were very well received despite the poor treatment of Turks in Germany. Things can go well on a personal contact level even when politicians, like Mr. Yaalon, generalize in convoluted negative ways. I am glad Mr. Barak sees it differently.
33. Apology
Sam M ,   UK   (07.22.11)
The jihadihs on the Mavi Mamara were baying like a pack of crazed hounds for martyrdom. The fact that they ended up being 'skewered like kebabs' is entirely their own responsibility so no apology is required. The turks will just have to eat their generous portion of humble pie.

I personally do not want any apology just stop the game and throw away the already dead relatiosnship israel dont need turkey if she really need a partner i belive greece really a good choice so why still talking a country that demands an unacceptable apology from you i accepted the situation so should you i kinda understand israel wants friends in this wild neighborhood but its impossible now minus turkey and move on this what we do as fopr coffe you stick to cubban or iranian and i wll to turkish;)
35. Turkey
Yoel ,   Israel   (07.22.11)
The PM of Turkey knows fully well who is to blame for the flotilla incident. there are business dealings with Turkey worth millions worth millions of dollars so I beleive whats the deal here two block heads who cant agree-whats next?

I agree with some of your points, but unfortunately you are forgetting that it is the Turks who have decided to start making problems. After being rejected from EU they have turned towards Iran and their allies which also resulted in their change of policy towards Israel. So, even if you understand the difficulty of their situation, at the end of the day it was their choice.
37. Ya’alon leads the sane part of the government
Mladen Andrijasevic, ,   Be'er Sheva, Israel   (07.22.11)
The very possibility that the Israeli government is even considering a partial apology is troubling. It just shows how deeply ignorant our politicians are about the mindset of the Islamist like Erdogan. Netanyahu, an admirer of Winston Churchill, should recall what Churchill said about appeasement “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.”
38. BRAVO YAALON!!
Bad assed Jew. ,   United States   (07.22.11)
GIve the Turks what they gave to Israel. The Turks will suffer far more than Israel over this fiasco. No one in their right mind would think of visiting Turkey such a brutal savage nation. Stay strong Israel. Shalom and Braca!

Greece is already our friend as you sa it a few weeks back. Israel does not need half freinds. She needs freinds that she can trust 100%. Turkey wants to look good with the muslim world and the western world at the same. It's not going to happen. You can't play both sides. We don't take chances like that either.
